1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: bitcoin-0.9.2-linux , "error: server returned HTTP error 403" on: July 31, 2014, 02:11:00 PM
nope.

i've even tried

Code:
bitcoind -rpcuser=some -rpcpassword=else

and then

Code:
 bitcoin-cli -rpcuser=some -rpcpassword=else getinfo

and it fails

You can try

Code:
bitcoind -rpcuser=some -rpcpassword=else -rpcallowip=MYIP

Replace MYIP with you ip or network address.

I did have rpallowip=127.0.0.1 wouldn't work. I changed it with the public IP and it worked! Damn me. Thanks.

thanks but same error.  Undecided
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / bitcoin-0.9.2-linux , "error: server returned HTTP error 403" on: July 30, 2014, 06:16:56 PM
So, i downloaded, compiled and run bitcoind 0.9.2 on debian stable.

Code:
./configure --disable-wallet --without-miniupnpc
make

bitcoind is run under 'bitcoin' user.

there is a ~/.bitcoin/bitcoin.conf file containing

Code:
rpcuser=some
rpcpassword=somethingelse
txindex=1

so i start bitcoind, and then i try to interact with it like:

Code:
bitcoind getinfo

or

Code:
bitcoin-cli getinfo

In both case i get

"error: server returned HTTP error 403"

It's strange cause this setup used to work until the previous bitcoin version, or the one before it. Any ideas what's going on?
5  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [Electrum] Tor service at 4lhnnupincd3gyda.onion:50001 on: July 04, 2014, 02:27:30 PM
TCP : 56ckl5obj37gypcu.onion:50001  does work as of yesterday.
6  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [Electrum] Tor service at 4lhnnupincd3gyda.onion:50001 on: March 16, 2014, 07:17:00 PM
Still connects with 1.9.7 on Linux.

One point worth noticing : since some time now (don't remember version), electrum client doesn't connect to a single server, but to more. That's for getting block headers and notify the user if a certain server lags some blocks. In that context I don't know if it worths connecting to a hidden service, since your client will further connect to different "normal" nodes.

Observe :

Quote
./electrum -v
electrum directory /home/stepkrav/.electrum
blocks: 290884
wallet path /home/stepkrav/.electrum/wallets/default_wallet
connected to electrum.hachre.de 50001
connected to electrum.cryptopush.com 50001
connected to 56ckl5obj37gypcu.onion 50001

connected to electrum.novit.ro 50001
synchronizer: connected to 56ckl5obj37gypcu.onion:50001:t

Of course your subscriptions will be sent to the hidden service you selected. Don't know. I guess it depends on your threat model.

I tried with both version 1.9.8 and version 2.0 of electrum client, on Linux. And it works. Can someone else check to help us track the problem?
8  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [Electrum] Tor service at 4lhnnupincd3gyda.onion:50001 on: March 16, 2014, 02:17:56 AM
I did set up the server from scratch. I'm using the newest db verstion. I've also setup the hidden service, and seems to work. Check it out : TCP : 56ckl5obj37gypcu.onion:50001

Hm, strange. 56ckl5obj37gypcu.onion is up, but I can't connect to it. Haven't got much time to track the problem at the moment, but will update as soon as possible.

FBI seized Silk Road's bitcoins and liquified them instantly. Panic sell by the Feds. Lovely.  Cool

i need a startup script for raspbian in order to automatically launch cgminer in screen. Any help on this ? Thanks!
15  Local / Biete / Re: [GB] USB ASIC miner - closed and completed on: June 27, 2013, 11:13:10 PM
Side note: With cgminer up an running this Linux is using ~55-60 MB RAM and it looks like there is no swap file used at all. Guess the SD card will last much longer than using Raspbian wheezy... Shocked

finally got raspbian to work with cgminer. it takes only 33MB of RAM. Nice post though, thanks.
16  Local / Biete / Re: [GB] USB ASIC miner - closed and completed on: June 19, 2013, 10:24:43 PM
thanks for sharing. it didn't work either. i guess it's my hub that messes up.
17  Local / Biete / Re: [GB] USB ASIC miner - closed and completed on: June 19, 2013, 06:58:59 PM
Weird, I have 2 USB 3 hubs connected to my Pi, working perfect (8 usb miners running from it, 1 ztex fpga, and 1 bfl fpga)

 Shocked

what distro and what hub if i may ask?
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Need your help, new Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: June 19, 2013, 04:36:49 PM
has anyone managed to use raspberry with a USB 3.0 hub ?
19  Local / Biete / Re: [GB] USB ASIC miner - closed and completed on: June 19, 2013, 02:40:09 PM
aye, let's see then.

edit : nop. nor raspbian wheezy nor archlinux works with USB 3.0 hub on rpi. Damn!
