101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 03, 2018, 03:59:20 PM
Anyone here have experience of trading with Cumberland Mining? How is/was it? Would you recommend? What are their rates like? How long does a transaction typically take?

I'm about to sign a counterparty agreement with them and wanted to see if anyone has anything to share. Thanks.

New year, new forecast from Johnny Mnemonic? I need another Rule of Five™ prediction.

I know they are not a scam.
Then you should have confidence that your funds will be registered, if you persist in seeking support.  If that fails, send them a demand letter.

Did you send to an integrated address? If not, did you use any required payment ID?  If not, it may take some human intervention before your account is credited.

But, again, this is a speculation thread, and the topic should be moved to the kraken thread, please.

I used integrated address, that is only what Kraken has.

Strange happening again. When I click Funding, Deposit and XMR, appears not a xmr addresses page, but a message.

Quote
This action is not available for tier level 3

Yuor current funding tier level (3) is insufficient for this functionality. Please further verify your account to increase your tier level and funding limits.

Increase funding limits

I have tier 3 and it has no limit for crypto deposits. So I do not understand.

The Kraken thread is here.

Seems to be, that many others have had such problems too. Many have already solved.

I just had the same message. Never saw it before.

https://support.okex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003675931-OKEx-Launches-RDN-XLM-XMR

This seems pretty big, since OKEx shows are 5th biggest exchange in last 24h. Is HongKong based, so seems just perfect fro Monero.

Funny how a few months ago when Monero got added to Bithumb the price nearly tripled whereas getting added to OKEx has done little for the price. How quickly things change in the crypto world.

Happy happy, everyone. This is where I come when in need of calming. Thanks to everyone for their contributions and sage advice.

Now is the time to buy, considering that rumor says the webwallet is out in 2 weeks..

How reliable is the source of that rumor, if I may ask?

Or just link to it please Smiley

That comment is three years old, ffs.

Congratulations to Johnny Mnemonic.

Let's hope the corresponding part of your prediction doesn't happen - the inevitable retracement.

I haven't paid much attention to other coins these past few months, but does the price in Bithumb typically get reflected in US markets or are they always an outlier? Does this kind of discrepancy usually result in a price increase in the US or not?
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: December 20, 2017, 12:57:39 AM
$560 $600 on Bithumb. Doesn't make sense.

I wouldn't be surprised - just as I was planning too sell some @400.

Good day boys.

So whats the sentiment, is Coinbase a pipe dream or are some of you starting to feel its possible.

I know I was always so skeptical, however I now would guess at the likelyhood in 2018 (of XMR on CB) to be something like 50%.
I'm at 1337% now that multisig is merged.

I'm a little confused about MS. In order for it to be actually used, don't the wallets have to be updated? Particularly the GUI? I've seen no evidence of that. Am I misunderstanding things?
Probably in the next hardfork along with hopefully bulletproofs. You can compile the main branch from github yourself if you want to have a look at multisig.

Yeah, I understand that it's not released yet. My question is, if MS were released tomorrow (it doesn't require a HF) is there functionality in the GUI or CLI to use it? Does it require a more advanced interface for the GUI, for example?

Usually CLI binaries are released first and few days latter also GUI.    How do you know it will happen tomorrow? I had not found any such info and such announcements usually not happen in Monero.

No - I don't know.  I said "if". I'm just curious as to whether there has been any corresponding work done on the GUI in preparation for MS.

CLI is done, not sure about GUI.

Okay, thanks.

Pure, unsubstantiated, bullshit speculation on my part:

1.
 - Monero (i.e. FP) has already received the apple dev license
 - Has not made it public because that would intimate that light wallet release is imminent and Monero does not encourage pre-release speculation.
 - Wallets get released over Christmas/New Year, much in keeping with previous, surprise, releases around this time.

2. Ripple and Litecoin Dash are getting added to Coinbase - hence the recent increase in price (from insider trading).

Here endeth the speculation.

Has bitcointalk been affected by the kraken virus? Because it's abysmally slow today.

Used xmr.to and was very pleased with it. Until kraken gets its act together (if ever) this is the way forward for me. Thanks to all.

I knew Kraken was laggy and all but never had issues with my transactions. Usually when I cashed fiat out it took maximum of 2 days to get my money (I think even next day mostly). Wonder why the differences?

The problem lies not so much in the transfer, rather than them being able to link my bank account. Apparently the software they use to upload and verify ID's isn't working. Believe it or not.

I was just about to exchange some krypto to 30.000€. But could not log in. How fast Euro transfers to Europe have usually been on Kraken?

When I was logged in to Kraken a few days ago, I was wondering at withdrawal page a text something like this "name of a bank account has to be equivalent of the name of your bank account".

I did not understand what that meant? Do you or anybody else? Could that some how relate to your bank account linking problem?

It means you can't have a bank account with a name different to the name you have registered on kraken.

As for whether that's my problem - I don't know. I don't think so, but I have heard nothing from support. I've never transferred on sold anything before on kraken so I have no experience as to fast their European transfers are, I'm afraid.
