581  Economy / Lending / Re: Whats the advantage of doing business loan here VS on BtcJam? on: December 05, 2012, 11:06:16 PM
Prefer this community that I've done thousands of dollars of business with already as opposed to a site that majorly looks like scammers building up "confidence" loans by the tens. I think it can be used legit fashion and I have loaned someone successfully there.

I received very little attention for my investment (which also has a thread here), but surprisingly even the craziest ideas here I see people post criticism or comments, but amazingly even though I've tried to be as detailed as possible I don't even get snarky comments! That's okay, it seems to be working out for what I am trying to accomplish through other venues, but I will always (at this point in life) try to do business within the BTC community. After all, when my general store opens this month I will accept Bitcoins as payment alongside fiat for all goods in my store (feed/coke/convenience/plants/tobacco/beer and eventually fuel).

I believe in  Bitcoin and I love this community so much even having only been here since August or so.

Glad to see ever more have joined since I did what seems like such a short six months ago. Welcome to all and may we all do good business, contribute, or enjoy Bitcoin and discussion together.

Welcome newcomers!
583  Economy / Lending / Re: Opening General Store - own property, prop tax net neutral, low labor, etc on: December 05, 2012, 05:26:09 AM
Updating the OP with photos of properties. More to come as progress is made (IE counters should be installed this weekend, I will post information regarding that.)
Edit, the photos may have to wait. I sent from my phone what I had available and I may have clogged my Gmail, will post when they arrive.

For now this is a Google Street view address for my second rental property that houses the auto mechanic and my storage unit.

2757 Coastal Hwy 32327

Turn the camera to the left and the buildings and LAMAR advertising billboards can clearly be seen.

Secondary update purpose: one investor found (outside of this venue) for the amount of 5,000 USD. Will update the post to reflect this.

Got my Maples, they are nice and shiny.   Cool

Thanks!

Great to hear it, PM me if you would like more silver (and that goes for all readers of BTCtalk!)

I updated the OP with these images, check them out for an idea of the sort of silver I am selling.

I think Blockchain.info is the first place new users should be sent to who want to create a new wallet.

Luckily about 500 new users are signing up per day,  but that rate needs to increase even more:

Nice chart!
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bankcoin be appearing any time soon? on: December 04, 2012, 05:12:01 PM
I don't like this idea, I want to take power from the bankers and central controls.

Great read/listen, highly recommended from this poster.

UPDATE:

So there's a short glimpse of where I'm at with more to come. I have some things to attend to but would love to come back and update this thread tonight. Added quite a bit more to the primary post and will be including more information.

Looking for something for my girl (engagement ring), but I thought why not solicit Bitcointalk first! Then we can do business in BTC and be happy! Smiley

Here are some examples of things she likes and why she does.

http://www.etsy.com/listing/63769466/montana-blue-sapphire-lotus-flower?ga_search_query=montana
I love this design. I have seen her do it with multiple stones and they are all beautiful. I especially love the way the center stone is held. I like that it has a matching band, though it leaves something to be desired. Also a bit much in the bling department. I want something feminine, but not in your fave. I'm not a real housewife of Orange County. Tongue

http://www.etsy.com/listing/77513301/peacock-lotus-ring-in-18k-rose-gold
These two are similar the difference being the stone obviously. This ring is a little too simple, but I like the rose cut and the dark peacock pearl. The lotus setting is feminine and is heading towards something I would like

http://www.etsy.com/listing/112384523/acadia-wedding-ring-set-engagement-ring
Really like this but would want it made in silver and with a larger stone

http://www.etsy.com/listing/76678881/wedding-ring-set-delicate-leaf?ref=sr_gallery_8&ga_search_query=leaf+engagement+ring&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all
I really like the leaf pattern and how the engagement ring and band fit together like puzzle pieces. I also like the setting of the stones, because it looks like the leaves are holding it.

http://www.jeremy-hoye.com/designer-jewellery-rings/women-s-silver-rings/silver-hedgehog-flower-toadstool-ring.html#.UL0srIbF6xo
This one is a bit far out, I don't like it, but she loves hedgehogs and said it could be "inspirational".

Things she likes: nature, slytherin (mostly colors Tongue), hedgehog quills maybe?, flowers (lotus setting), leafs

She would like, verbatim :
"Would like something unique. Lotus, leafs, nature, even slytherin themes.
Like Dark colored pearls, most green stones (jade, tourmaline, emerald) both cut and raw
Sterling silver primarily, though also like rose and white gold
would prefer center stone to be about 6mm"

Any crafters here of the sorts?
590  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Various games, Ps2/DS/GBA/360 - BTC/PayPal/AMZ on: December 03, 2012, 10:17:31 PM
Also added these games in a new thread (yes, realize I should have consolidated in retrospect, but also the bundle is threadworthy almost. This is a Nintendo 3DS package with about ten games.

591  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Nintendo 3DS package including about ten games. on: December 03, 2012, 10:16:32 PM
WTS

I have a black 3DS (not XL) in mint condition, with the original box, manuals, etc and a few games. Taken good care of it.

W/ the following games/items:

-Super Mario 3D Land
-Resident Evil: Revelations
-Pokemon Black 2
-Pokemon Heartgold (don't have a case)
-Kid Icarus: Uprising (with stand)
-Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars
-Carrying pouch
-Case to store the 3DS and games

Will take BTC, but if PayPal I would have to charge slightly more. Offers anyone on this bundle? Great shape items. Looking for around 250 OBO (Don't be shy offering, promise I won't be rude. Offer what you think is fair and I'd be glad to consider it.)

Great deal if you don't mind a used gift for a nephew at Christmas. Nice selection of games and well kept.
592  Economy / Services / Re: Send bitcoins into the future! (LBAAT.net) on: December 03, 2012, 09:14:42 PM
I really want to try this because I love all your games at TAABL.net, but the first postI didn't really understand, these new updated information should help a lot. Going to review this and try to play...
593  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC for Bank Transfer WF CCBG on: December 03, 2012, 07:58:26 PM
Six days out, could really use a trade for 15 coins to be exact. Last time I bump this before trying to go on in other means to make this happen. OP updated to reflect specifically what I need.

Thanks for your time.

Edit: In the event that 15 coins isn't worth your time (which I have considered), I can sell more coins, but I strictly only wanted to sell what I needed to.

My offer still stands if you are willing to do business with us.

What assurance do you have? I don't mind sending first to established members, but but it appears I am more established and do more business here than you, plus there is the fee though I don't mind so much if that is the only option I have available.
594  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Various games, Ps2/DS/GBA/360 - BTC/PayPal/AMZ on: December 03, 2012, 07:35:07 PM
Doubled list size.

598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: December 02, 2012, 07:23:50 PM
I play with almost every setting inside of Reaper's litecoin.conf and I can't get the speed to drop overall below 500 or above 600 on average, with occasional shoots to 700 temporarily.

I am wondering, is it even detecting all of my cards? Doing ati check on Ubuntu console seems to imply they are there, CGMiner picked them up befre when mining BTC. But there's only one display in reaper, so I assume it is all cards, but with three cards I don't see that as being my hash rate...
599  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: December 02, 2012, 03:12:43 PM
Right.  Here are pictures of my Prototype.  I called him...ALPHA! (2.9GH/s)

I then created his identical twin BETA (2.9GH/s)

Not long after I built with leftovers, his slightly SPECIAL cousin GAMMA (1.4GH/s)

These pictures are of ALPHA, just after construction stage.

The case is made from an standard Australian Milk Crate.  One of those babies perfectly fits 4 x Radeon 5970s.

I love milk crates and your projects. They don't get too hot?
