Also, I'm having problems when trying to make a withdraw. Say I have 2.86 BTC, and I want to take a portion out, like 1.5, it doesn't let me. I can take out 1, or 2, but not the decimals?
Non decimals should work fine. Did you receive message that your withdrawal needs additional processing or it did not go through at all? That's what I'm saying, non-decimals are fine, but the actual decimals aren't fine. It errors out.. says something about "wrong number." I can't remember. EDIT: I think I figured it out.... You know how it has your chips balance, and then your BTC balance in parenthesis? Well, the BTC balance is ROUNDED to the nearest bit cent. So, I had 285.75 chips and (2.86 ฿). So, when I tried to take out coins, I put 1.86 btc, but that's wrong. I should have put 1.85 btc. (I wanted to leave 1 coin in there) So, when your script is rounding UP, the btc balance in essence, is wrong. It won't let you take out that amount. When it's rounding DOWN, there's no problem.

There hasn't been a jackpot since the 8th. We've found blocks since then. Aren't there still jackpots? If not, remove it from the thread's title.

Does anyone still have any problems?
It's been intermittent all day yesterday, but I can see that for the past 8 hours, it's been good.

The client will now never post the BB out of position; it will always wait for the BB to come around before auto-posting. I noticed. I didn't like it before hand. Also, I'm having problems when trying to make a withdraw. Say I have 2.86 BTC, and I want to take a portion out, like 1.5, it doesn't let me. I can take out 1, or 2, but not the decimals?

You're going with MyBitcoin button after all?
What if no one is around when one wants to play? Say, 4 in the morning. (like right now)
I just payed, and MBC is trying to "locate" my payment, lol. I'm sure it will take 10 minutes to get a confirmation. But, will anyone be around to maketh the pokerth room?

What happens if BOTH hexes match the tx (transaction) number? Is there a double payout? Hmm? Just curious, how is this a 1/8 odds? 2 * 1/16 = 1/8 You have two chances to match your hex. I think your math is off, but it might be in error of the player, so I won't press the matter. EDIT: Your math is in error of the house... when both hex digits match! (because I assume there is no double payout) The real formula is therefore: (n * ß) - (n - P) ---------------------- ßn ß = base number system (# digits in system), n = number of "places" player can win in, P = number of paid matches. [say if all "places" match, how many times do you get paid?] So, if we plug in the numbers, and then simplify, we get.... (2 * 16) - (2 - 1) 31 1 ------------------- = ----- = ----- 162 256 8.26

wow, this would get expensive if I want to buy 20 tickets at 0.0005 transaction tax.
But I did purchase more than one ticket. GL to me!! hehe

I hear what you're saying. It just reminded me that I had a general question about stales vs other words.

Has anyone else been having problems staying connected today? It seems like this afternoon (est) I'm in a connection war with the server to hash again. I just checked deep bit. Apparantly I was having intermittent connection problems. They are my "--backup" pool. So, since I had like 14 shares on them today, I know I had conn issues with TM. (but only on one of my GPUs)

Don't know if you guys have noticed, but... $$$! I wish I had some active miners in my minipool so I would have someone to give money away to! I can't believe I lost .2 in the past 2 hours of mining. Heh, my "estimated" was .90 and actual is .70 . Oh well, that's why it's an estimate. Yippie, we foundz a block!

Done I'm not seeing it. By done do you mean will do, or am I looking in the wrong place? Also, since my edit took over my original post, what happens if this pool finds a block that is orphaned or invalid? It's under the workers page. Also, I was wondering for a long time... what's the difference between a "Stale", "Invalid", and a "Rejected" share? I know what a stale is. What are the other two?

I prefer:
9.87654321
9 BTC (Bitcoin) 87 cBTC (Centibit) (no color nessesary) 876 mBTC (Millibit) 543 μBTC (Microbit) 21 sBTC (Satoshi)
That would confuse everyone even more. If you see a blue number, and it only has two digits, you would thing it were 087mili. :-/

I like the rainbow and SI idea (I don't thin rainbow has anything to do with sexual orientation, nor do I care). I also think we can use colors and make color blind friendly at the same time.
I forgot to mention this earlier, because it's not really that relevant. However, the "rainbow" was attached to the lesbians a long time ago, by a lesbian group. Just as the pink triangle is attached to gay men. At least it was when I first learned about it in college, from my gay roommate. (1993) It is a relic from when "gays" were not in the public eye too much, and they formed a (not-so-) secret symbol to identify themselves to each other with. You see a girl wearing a rainbow wrist band, or 5 gel braclets of the rainbow colors, then you knew you had a higher chance of talking to a fellow lesbian.

The Satoshi is a stupid unit. Make them all nano in that range. There's no need to break up the standard greek prefixes.
I was thinking why start with 3 decimal places? Most, if not all, currencies go to the 2nd decimal place, which represents 1/100th of the whole. The idea of 1/1,000th is foreign to everyday people/cultures. I propose the following schema, which takes care of the Satoshi breaking the pattern. 9.876543219 BTC 87 centibits 654 microbits 321 satoshibits

I forgot to include this thought in my original post... I saw discussion about stale and rejected shares on the main thread mentioned above. I also saw that features were being added based on discussion/requests fairly regularly. Personally, wherever I mine, I would like to see counters for rejected and invalid shares along with counters for shares found.
I agree 100%. I think MrSam can get this done, he's in charge of HTML.

Hello, I'm Johnny Caps Interesting concept these bitcoins. I just now learned about them and count me in. There is obviously quite a bit to learn about how to use them and the whole socioeconomic impact they could have (with any luck at all). Anyway, very exciting and I'm off to read and learn as much as I can as fast as I can. Oh and thank all of you and whoever created this forum. There are a lot of really smart people on here answering a lot of really smart and not-so-smart questions from us newbies. As soon as I figure out how to I want to accept bitcoins on my website. I wonder if I can accept bitcoins on ebay? I'll look into it. How cool would that be? Did you know you can EDIT your posts to avoid multiple back-back posting? It's fairly easy once you do it the first time. :p Hi. I am a 30 year old female...am I the only girl here?
No, I've seen and "talked" to other girls here. But you gals are few and far between. Welcome.

What do you think?
We would appreciate any ideas! It's a novel idea.

EG., I'm really surprised that no mining pool has a tachometer-style hash meter display ... or lots of graphs of how my miners have been doing ... or my btc/day ... or ...
TripleMining has a tach in the header, lol.

Hey Sam, I like how you are now showing the current block info.
EDIT: Wow, I only have 13 stales in 33,000 shares! (I'm sure most of them were due to the 8 minutes of maintenance earlier today) This is about 0.04% stales. I LOVE this pool!

I'm not sure if you have registered on our site and seen what is being discussed, or just going on assumption based on what's been posted here, but I just wanted to clear that up. I registered and minded last month. In fact, I just remembered to go in there and check my balance. It turns out that my little 340 shares earned me 0.010497 BTC. So I just made a manual withdraw. Since I am in the USA, I don't really mind the top-right "value" of my bitcoins with you. However, as a webmaster, and marketer, I feel that the less actions a user/visitor needs to make to get to the info that they want, the better. Logging into your front end should probably lead users straight to the account details page, rather than stats page.
