How do you know who is your "friend?"  Is there a referral system?  Are new miners w/o invites put in at random under those with equal hashes that don't have "friends" mining?

EDIT: Nevermind. I found out by actually visiting the site. D'uh.  Tongue

I can't belive only one person in this thread has the referral in thier siggy. Shame. I clicked the 1st one I saw above my last post. (this post before editing)

Try TripleMiner.com, it's a cool concept.
443  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Impact on GFX manufacturers? on: June 29, 2011, 12:17:44 PM
do they even make a high end card with an 1x "foot" ?
444  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin7 a new exchange on: June 29, 2011, 12:11:29 PM
I can't seem to find a place to input my btc address. I deposited money with Dwolla, I made a buy, now I wanna remove the BTC but I can't. There's no place for me to put my address.  (unless I'm blind to it)

How did you do it duffy?
445  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Userbars on: June 29, 2011, 09:02:54 AM
Fixed the numbering, no longer has a billion places after the decimal. Also added GH/s notation for people pulling over 1000MH/s.

Everyone knows that a Gigahash/byte is 1024 of the Mega's, right?  I hope you just typed 1000MH/s as a round number.

EDIT: I see you are using API tokens, so the pools are reporting what they are reporting.  Tongue
446  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Run your rig on renewable energy? on: June 29, 2011, 08:58:48 AM
I live in Texas, and GME is more expensive to use in most places. I've lived in 3 areas in Texas since GME came on the scene a decade ago. It was .04 (actual .0004) pkw more expensive, then, and .03 more expensive where I live now. (deep south)
447  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Browser Based GPU Mining - Krad Miner - 1000X Javascript Speed - Multi GPU on: June 29, 2011, 08:42:10 AM
Damn, I just found your thread, and it's dead.  Could you change the title of the thread/topic to reflect this somehow?

Thanks
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Link Exchange on: June 29, 2011, 03:24:11 AM
If anyone has any ideas on what they would like to see implemented, let me know.

To do:
Have a way to limit the number of links that show up. (based on webmaster's input)
Make the links show up in random order due to that fact.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Link Exchange on: June 29, 2011, 02:47:15 AM
Add this script to your site

Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://startbitcoin.com/links.js">
</script>

Excellent!  It works in my WP/thesis site with no extra help.
450  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [POOL] Startup Pool 3.2 Gh/s -= 0% FEE =- Come help us find our First BLOCK on: June 28, 2011, 10:37:41 AM
nevermind dude im not doing this scam anymore i just found out the founder of bitcoins owns 25% of all bitcoins out there im sure he is the one keeping this scam going.

LOL are you serious? It's his invention, let him have them. Remember, he *had* 25% of the coins that were in circulation at the time the statistic was released.

It's not a scam, and of course he's keeping it going. Thank God.  But yeah, sell your video cards and get out of the game now.

you can't buy it yourself?
452  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [New Pool] Bloody's Bitcoin Mining Pool on: June 27, 2011, 11:53:04 AM
We are at 2Ghps as a pool. I think it will be a long time to solve.  But, I hope we get lucky this week!
453  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [New Pool] Bloody's Bitcoin Mining Pool on: June 27, 2011, 08:45:46 AM
I just realized.. you say this is in beta.. but are you using the real block? Are we mining for real, or just for testing on dummy blocks?

Do you think we can solve our first block in less than 5 weeks?
Is there going to be a bounty for the miner who gets the first block solved?
What about giving them the coin fees as a bounty?

Thanks.
454  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling my PCI-E space... on: June 27, 2011, 07:36:21 AM
Very interesting.

Does your PSU have pcie power cables? If so, which kinds and how many of them. (6pin, 6+2, 8pin)

Do you have an UPS (battery) in case the power goes out?
455  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: 3x Radeon 5830 $370 shipped on: June 27, 2011, 07:21:10 AM
How long did you run them, are they still considered "stock", and who made it? Sapphire, XFX, etc. (oh, and how high did you get the hash rate to?)

If you sell two to moonboon, I'm interested in the last one, based on the answers to my questions above.

EDIT: Nevermind. I bought a Sapphire 6790 on newegg for 140 just now.
456  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining Bitcoin using a FREE Windows OS! on: June 27, 2011, 06:47:09 AM
Thanks for the input on how to update the UI I will fix those bugs.

I was on vacation.

That's cool.  I still haven't been able to get it to work with my rig.  What I didn't mention before, was that my onboard networking wasn't being detected, but then it did at a later time.  However, still no go.

Let me know when you put out a new version, as I need a non-hdd mining rig, and linuxcoin is too foreign to me. (ubuntu too)
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Private Website Owners look here please on: June 27, 2011, 06:39:37 AM
I'm already working on that. I just have to come up with the php to do it. And to make is so it's scale-able over many sites without messing up the aesthetic of their site.

Why php? Maybe because if it gets too big, it might "break" someone's design? Yeah, I can dig it.

As far as aesthetics, leave that to the site's CSS.  Just add a class to the beginning, and use cannonical style commands.

for example:

Code:
<ul class"btc">
  <li><a href="http://linkhe.re" title="link description" target="_blank">Link Text 1</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://linkhe.re" title="link description" target="_blank">Link Text 2</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://linkhe.re" title="link description" target="_blank">Link Text 3</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://linkhe.re" title="link description" target="_blank">Link Text 4</a></li>
  <li><a href="http://linkhe.re" title="link description" target="_blank">Link Text 5</a></li>
</ul>

Code:
/* CSS */
ul.btc { some-code: here;}
ul.btc li {link-code: here;}
ul.btc li a {link-style:code;
}

how about a cursive lower case "b"?
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Private Website Owners look here please on: June 26, 2011, 08:01:35 PM
bitcoinprofits.us is where I will be launching an info product about bitcoins, for marketers.  "Make money with bitcoins" kinda stuff.  But first, they must know what it is, and what it isn't.

Added - Make sure you make a links section to add everyone to your site.

Will do.

EDIT: I cut my finger yesterday. really bad. I have to type with 1 finger on my strong hand.  It's also my clicking finger.  So, I cheated and just copied your links' source code into a text widget.

It gave me an idea... maybe someone can host a "bitcoin-links.html" page and keep it updated, and we can just frame it in a widget. It will always be up to date, and include everyone.  Just a thought.

I do have a question.  Under your graph you state:

Quote
We are offering a 5 BTC bonus to whoever finds our first block!!

Welcome new members!! Thank you for helping us find our first block and we hope you stick around for many more Cheesy

That sounds contradictory. Have you already found the 1st block?
