Converting a really interesting question and discussion posted by another good member here into a poll so we can actually understand what the popular sentiment is. ORIGINAL QUESTION/DISCUSSION:I wanted to see what the general thoughts of the community here are. With bitcoin being in a pretty steady state for the past few weeks, it seems like there's going to be a set up for some kind of growth. With that, there can be many paths, but after seeing today's price (which was up around 5% when I checked), I was wondering if the volatility is what people actually like about bitcoin.
So, do you guys like the volatility and the strong spikes upwards or would you rather like steady growth, around 5% gains over time?
Quick notes: - Steady growth would be a slow and steady advancement, the growth trajectory of a more stable investment
- Spiked growth would be cyclical periods of advances and declines
We can keep the discussion on the original thread, I just think it would be great to get the numbers backing the pages of discussion. Cheers! A steady growth would certainly be better and would generate more trust among investors than all this extrem ups and downs. Many people lose their faith in crypto currencys when prices keep falling in the basement and this is certainly not good for the whole crypto market. Crypto currencys need many supporters if it is to become mainstream, but as long as people keep leaving the market because they have lost their money, it will be hard for crypto to become mainstream. So slow and steady growth would be better than all that pump and dumps. So let's hope at some point we have steady growth after all.  |

Schade, dass es so weit gekommen ist mit Telegram. Der Spam und die Bots sind ja schon lange ein Problem. So macht sich die Community selbst kaputt, aber man bekommt was man verdient.  Ja, lieber ein Neuanfang als weiterhin die Probleme mit Bots und Spam zu haben. Die neue Gruppe füllt sich leider nur langsam, aber dafür merkt man jetzt schon, das viel weniger Spam in der Gruppe ist. Hoffe, das war die richtige Entscheidung vom Team. |

Just stay calm and wait for the market to recover. I am not experiencing such times for the first time and I don't see it as tragic at the moment. If things continue as before, the market will recover one day and prices will rise again. So it was the last times and I think it will be again. The times of falling prices are not nice, but only those who do not give up now will benefit from the next price increase. |

I am not able to withdrow my BTX from HitBTC, has anyone else the same problme?

Me either and it’s been 24 hours for only a small amount. I really hate incompetent crooked exchanges. Probably this periodical situation dumps BTX price. The only solution is move your BTX (other coins too) from these exchanges to local wallet as soon as possible Seems like all exchanges have btx wallets in maintenance. I wasn’t aware of any code updates. Anybody know what’s going on? My own Bitcore wallet runs without problems and the last big update was some time ago. Maybe the exchanges didn't participate in the last update and they only update now. I don't know another reason either. |

So I have been working a bit with BTCPop. Back a while ago they were staking on the wrong chain. Due to this they are unable to process withdraws until they are back to even. As such, we have the ability if we want to help them out. The est amount they are down is 130k. We can either try to donate funds to get them to even, or they suggested they will also pay a "reasonable" price for some, maybe half the market place?
I don't' have full details yet, but I wanted to get everyone's feed back first. I will continue to do due diligence to make sure this is all on the up and up.
Also has anyone had any success with other exchanges?

I would be willing to donate 30k HoboNickels, if BTCPop gives us the guarantee not to delist HoboNickels in the next time. If there are other people donating, we'll probably get the 130k together. Maybe it would be good if you could set up a donation address for it. Otherwise I could not achieve anything at other exchanges. Priceless.... Nothing like owning your mistakes. But shit happens. -snip- ich denke/hoffe von sterben ist keine rede  habe noch keinen bullenmarkt miterlebt... bin mitten in die bärenfalle getappt und habe per FOMO deluxe seit anfang 2018 mehr geld "verbrannt" als ich in paar monaten arbeit überhaupt verdiene sehe es aber noch ganz entspannt da ich sowieso langfristig plane und aktuell sowieso niemand abschätzen kann was in 3 oder 5 jahren sein wird. wenn man jetzt zurückblickt was vor 2-3 jahren war... und dann kurz denkt was also in 2-3 jahren sein kann dann wäre es schade so eine möglichkeit verstreichen zu lassen. und bis dahin muss man auch die rote welle mitreiten... nur dann weiß man den nächsten bullen wirklich zu schätzen. derzeit versuche ich einfach so wenig wie möglich FIAT nachzulesen (trotz immer wieder fomo ) und per div. bountykampagnen das portfolio (zumindest mittelfristig gesehen) aufzubessern. in diesem sinne... einfach abwarten und beten //edit: und trotz allem nie regel nr. 1 vergessen: https://cryptoticker.io/de/wichtige-regeln-kryptoneulinge/ INVESTIERE NUR SO VIEL KAPITAL WIE DU VERKRAFTEN KANNST ZU VERLIEREN! Mir kommt der aktuelle Kursverlust wie ein Déjà-vu vor. Bitcoin ist damals von ungefähr 10$ auf über 1000$ (auf MTGox) gegangen und danach kam der große Einbruch und eine lange Zeit des Preisverfalls bis auf ungefähr 200$. Damals fühlte es sich auch an, als würde der Cryptomarkt sein ende erleben, aber nach einer sehr langen Zeit, gingen die Preise dann endlich wieder hoch. Derzeit habe ich halt das Gefühl, das alles wiederholt sich wieder. Ob es wirklich so ist, werden wir ja bald erleben, aber ich hoffe es jedenfalls. Kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen, das der Cryptomarkt so einfach stirbt. |
