2401  Other / Meta / Re: Do you have problems with login on Bitcointalk with the captcha on: September 02, 2018, 04:08:25 PM
I am having problem too. Every time I try to resolve, it brings me the next one. After over 10 (avg) try finally it works.

I had the same problem with Google Chrome, but since I switched to Firefox, I have no more problems with the captcha. I think this is because of the browser you use and not a problem from Bitcointalk.  Smiley
2402  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: September 02, 2018, 02:31:35 PM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.

You don't have to worry about that. Fiat money will be around for a very long time and will certainly never completely die out. Credit cards could not displace fiat money either and from the looks of it, this will not happen through crypto currency. Someday crypto currency will certainly be used more often than fiat money, but until then it will still take a long time and even then some people will continue to use fiat money. Nothing will change that quickly. So don't you worry.  Wink
2403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think ICO investors are Decreasing? on: September 02, 2018, 02:17:40 PM
The main reason of ICO investors are decreasing is due to lot of ICO are scam and even if the ICO is gone good they are taking lot of time to release the coin and list in the exchange. That is why it is better to buy in the market when the ICO coin is listed.

At the moment i also believe that these are the main reasons why there are fewer and fewer investors in ICOs. All the scam ICOs have almost destroyed the market and driven away many investors. In addition, many ICO projects have their token prices crash after the ICO and do not offer any purchase support for their own token. Investors also know this and prefer to buy their tokens after an ICO if they are cheaper. Therefore i do not think that we will see many ICOs for a long time to come.  Sad
2404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin are used as currency for trading by Yahoo Finan on: August 31, 2018, 02:22:40 PM
I was surprised reading this as last time I've heard about Yahoo and cryptos in the same sentence, April 2019 was also mentioned there (wasn't expecting this move so soon).
Would you guys buy cryptos from Yahoo?
Does Yahoo have these days the power to influence the price somehow?
Curious of hearing some thougts on this.

I wouldn't buy extra crypto coins just because it's sold by Yahoo. I already have enough other accounts at other exchanges where I can do this, but there are certainly some newcomers who buy crypto coins because Yahoo now offer them and that's good for crypto per se. I don't believe it will affect the overall price of crypto coins, but I'm not sure and the market could also react positively. It's always hard to predict.   Wink
2405  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 6800 $, in a month $ 10,000, and after two $ 15,000. on: August 30, 2018, 05:38:06 PM
I've been watching the crypt movement on the market for a very long time and that's what I noticed. During this year there were four waves of take-off and fall of bitcoins, and this takeoff, truthfully slow, is the forerunner of the fifth wave of bitcoin takeoff. I think its cost in a month, and maybe even earlier will reach $ 10,000. Then takeoff will be much faster and swift. And how do you think about this.

I would be happy if it comes to this price increase, but I really don't believe in it. I think we will only see the next big price increase next year. I don't know why, but so are my current thoughts about the price of Bitcoin. Of course i can also be totally wrong and the price is rising so high again this year. I would be happy anyway. It's just hard to say how the price is developing and no statement about the price is more than speculation. So don't let all the speculation make you crazy. The prices will certainly rise again, but nobody can say exactly when it will happen.  Wink
2406  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Blockchain Will Replace Existing Technology, Says JP Morgan CIO Lori Beer on: August 30, 2018, 05:20:21 PM
JP Morgan CIO Lori Beer says that blockchain will "replace existing technology" in a couple of years, at a press conference in Buenos Aires as reported by Cripto247 on August 23.
-snip-

This is an interesting article about the future of blockchains and it confirms what i think. Blockchain will be used in many areas of different industries and replace the current technology. It will also make it easier to prevent misuse of money. Thanks for sharing anyway. I found the statements very good.  Smiley
2407  Other / Meta / Re: License for bounty managers on: August 30, 2018, 04:58:35 PM
What if there's a license for bounty managers? Bounty managers would be screened before giving them the bounty manager license. I think this would help with our problems about shitposting, because bounty managers will surely check the posts of their participants if they failed to do it and reaches the tolerable limit they're licensed will be removed.

Somehow i don't like the idea. In the first moment it seems to be a good thought, but if i think about it for a while i come to the conclusion that the idea is not very good. It certainly wouldn't change anything in the current situation here in the forum. Besides, it would certainly cause even more problems if some people decide who can work as a bounty manager and who can't. That alone has a lot of potential for a lot of trouble. So i don't think and hope that something like that comes into the forum.   Cool

I am happy to see that Kaze has entered into a partnership with Bitcore. This is certainly very good for both projects. Unfortunately I only miss an official announcement here in the forum. Maybe someone can do that? If someone want to know more, here is the link to the tweet. https://twitter.com/solutionskaze/status/1034377802894790656?s=12  Smiley
2411  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: August 29, 2018, 03:50:52 PM
because older people like to invest in Gold / Silver already know the price of coins in the trading market is declining, so that experienced people prefer to invest in gold, so they can get a fair profit.

When people started to invest their money, there was usually only gold or silver as a safe investment, Bitcoin did not exist yet. But i have noticed that people who have invested in gold or silver before are more open to Bitcoin. They see Bitcoin more often as a new investment opportunities than people who have never invested in anything. Many people who have never invested money in anything anyway are more likely to reject Bitcoin than investment opportunities. It seems that there are people how are willing to invest as long as it promises profit and people who will not invest in anything in their lives anyway.  Smiley
2412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Bounty Managers on: August 28, 2018, 01:51:57 PM
Bounty manager is very important when choosing a campaign. I
like to work with AmaZiks, Hotachi, Hua_hui.
What is your favorite BM?

My favorite BM at the moment is Hhampuz. He does a really good job and is usually very reliable. So far I was involved in two signature and a reddit bounty campaign and each time the bountys went without problems or similar. Therefore i am more than satisfied with him and can only recommend him as a BM. Who wants to reach Hhampuz, will find all information about him here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4873710.0   Smiley
2413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any ALTCOIN ever overtake Bitcoin ? on: August 28, 2018, 01:08:08 PM
It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins,
It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.

Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.

Meanwhile I can't imagine that Bitcoin can be replaced by an altcoin sometime. Even Ethereum wasn't in the long run and won't make it in the future. Bitcoin is the leading currency in the crypto world. It's the first, big crypto coin, has the most support and the strongest network. That's probably why no altcoin will be able to take the place of Bitcoin in the future. It would still be possible, that happens, but very unlikely. There will be altcoins alongside Bitcoin that will hold their own but never surpass Bitcoin.  Wink
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Cosby buys 750 BTC on: August 27, 2018, 05:24:02 PM
Reportedly Hollywood actor Bill Cosby has recently bought 750 BTC (around 5 $million at the time of the purchase) when he was advised to do so by his financial advisor, in an attempt to save some of his wealth from what's coming to him after all the rape accusations.

Im not sure if he is a rapist or not because I haven't looked at the evidence, but like or not, this is a clear use case of Bitcoin. His net worth is like half a billion USD, so I guess this is like a plan Z to keep 5 million which would be enough to live without working in case things go very bad for him.

I found this interesting nonetheless and worth mentioning here. Full news:

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/bill-cosby-buys-750-bitcoin-btc-worth-5-million-to-save-500m-fortune-from-wife/

I don't really like this news. The good reputation of Bill Cosby is more than broken and i don't like it when his name is associated with Bitcoin. He is still a celebrity, but still with a bad reputation. That's why this news has a sordid aftertaste for me and I'm not really happy about it. I certainly would have found this news better with another celebrity. But anyway, it's definitely good for Bill Cosby and he sure didn't make a mistake with that decision.  Wink
2415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you feel when you found out it was a SCAM? on: August 27, 2018, 04:57:54 PM
A friend of mine recently joined a bounty project and wore their signature for good four month making 15+ post every week and accumulating his require stake for the week for the entire bounty project. Just at the close of the last week of the bounty campaign he found out that the project was a scam. Ever since then, he feels very awful and despairs bounty projects.
Today, i was hoping you could share your feelings about your experience with scam bounty projects. You might want to leave behind words of motivation for my buddy to ginger him back into the business of bounty work.

Unfortunately this can happen again and again. No matter how well you inform yourself beforehand. The scams get better and better and they learn from their mistakes. Nevertheless you should not give up right away. There are still very good bounty campaigns, which are serious, also pay and afterwards have a certain value. It takes a little until you have found them, but they do exist. So don't give up, there are always setbacks in life and belong to it. Only those who stay on, can also be successful. Maybe that helps your friend a little.  Wink
2416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Which Bounties do you prefer? on: August 27, 2018, 04:38:01 PM
Which tasks in Bounties do you prefer, there are many:

- Bitcointalk Signature
- Translation
- Social Media (Twitter, Telegram, Facebook, Reddit, Medium)
- Blog
- YouTube
- ...

Which and why?  Smiley

I prefer signature bounty campaigns and on social media only reddit bounty campaigns. Since i only do bounty hunting as a hobby and not as a fixed source of income, these two kinds of bounty campaigns are enough for me. Signature bounty campaigns because i like writing here in the forum anyway and reddit because i think reddit itself is very good. I don't want to invest more time in bounty hunting. For me this is perfect. With other bountys and more time you can certainly earn more, but as I said, it's enough for me.  Smiley
2417  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dark use of Bitcoin on: August 27, 2018, 04:04:10 PM
Criminals are increasingly using bitcoin for illegal transactions, preferring crypto-currencies, whose transactions are more difficult to track.

I have to disappoint you. Less and less Bitcoin transactions are used for illegal things. The number of serious transactions is increasing and the number of illegal ones is decreasing. You could read this in the news in the last weeks. Besides, it is not nice to use Bitcoin for illegal things, because he is only semi-annonymous. There are companies that have already analyzed the blockchain and know what Bitcoins are used for.   Wink
2418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: History might repeat itself once again- The new China ban on: August 26, 2018, 01:43:23 PM
Last year around this time getting into September, China decided to ban crypto trading activities and other related activities and then they finale banned somewhere in September. This year, they have done it again by banning crypto marketing and events, according to: https://bitcoinist.com/china-officially-bans-crypto-activities/
Will this make the market furious again and begin to pump or it's no "new" news and so it won't have any significant impact.

I don't think this message will affect the price of Bitcoin or other altcoins. The price is very instable even without this message. Besides, it doesn't directly affect Bitcoin or altcoins. So from my point of view, this message isn't as bad as the message again when china may have wanted to banish Bitcoin altogether. But that's just my opinion. If and how the market really behaves on this message we will see in the next days.  Wink
2419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scammers, Sell your uploaded KYC ID documents, adress for a lot of money. on: August 26, 2018, 01:26:23 PM
I think that ICO scammers will not just take off with your invested money.

Probably also they selling your ID. proof of Identity + Selfie + proof of Residenz
Uploaded KYC ID documents + selfies and address data are sold with large quantities on the darkweb, which are probably collected via scam projects.

What do you think?.

check these screenshots for example
-snip-

That's one reason why i don't do everything that KYC required from me. KYC is a no go for me, especially in the Crypto area. That's exactly what i don't want anyone to be able to buy my personal data on the internet later. besides, one advantage of crypto was that it's semi-anonymous and through KYC it's getting more and more removed. I just don't want and will not support that and hope that your contribution here will shake people up a little and they see how bad KYC is.  Wink
2420  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: August 26, 2018, 01:13:59 PM
Can someone and conducts such operations, but for what purpose are the money brought in and we do not know, because everything is anonymous.

Apparently many people forget that Bitcoin is only semi-anonymous. Of course, if a normal mortal looks into the blockexplorer, it won't be able to recognize much, but there are already companies that analyze the Bitcoin blockchain and they can already tell quite well how which Bitcoins are used for what. People who want to use Bitcoin for money laundering seem to forget that. Of course there are such cases, but i wouldn't use bitcoin for such things. Sooner or later the goverment will be able to retrace what the Bitcoins were used for.  Wink
