141  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: July 21, 2016, 10:55:19 AM
We just broke a 1 months triangle pattern on the chart, now testing it with a pullback that happens 2/3 of the time according to bullowski.

This move looks really strong, I won't bet on a fake breakout. Fasten your seatbelt, this is going to move stronger soon.

Yes over 1000 when this pullback is done. Its clear sailing to profit. Buy now or cry later.

I agree with that somewhat. The bitcoin price could be between 900 and 1000 dollars after the correction.
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a big business??? on: July 21, 2016, 10:53:50 AM
The bitcoin is worth around $10 billion at the moment. It is a very small business. But it is a growing business.
143  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: July 19, 2016, 08:26:42 AM
Ofcourse there is no reason to not to believe in bitcoin. It is also a kind of money so as we trust any other currency then we should also trust bitcoins...
Lol of course there is always a reason why people do not believe in a currency. moreover bitcoin has fluctuations that could make people panic. and it might make bitcoin die
An ordinary person with a little knowledge before adopting in bitcoins will make a panic whenever there is a big price fluctuation but for us who have been in the community for so long already understand the trend as it is normal. I am glad that there is this forum to let us understand any situation regarding the price of bitcoins.

I do not care about the short term price flucutation. I will just hold the bitcoin for the longer term in the future.
144  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: July 19, 2016, 08:25:25 AM
It would not even be necessary to affect the price through trading, you could make a change through social media or traditional media way easier. Imagine if everyone at a huge protest wore Bitcoin t-shirts. Or if someone took hostages waving a bitcoin flag. Or even if they bust some guy selling drugs on the dark web for bitcoin. Positive or negative, that news could easily affect the price, at least temporarily.

In short that what's called FUD. Actually, we have a section in this forum just for that purpose, it is in the Alt Section , no I'm just joking but you can see some example on that strike-through word. Aside from fudding, I can only see people with extreme amount of money who can manipulate bitcoin price by buying in bulk then dumping all it through. Law of demand and supply applies to this fact of pump and dump.
You will not be affected by FUD if you have a great amount of trust invested with bitcoins, FUD is just from people who likes you to dump and only those who have a weak hands will be affected.

That is true. When there is fud, it means the fuder want you to sell the coins so that they can buy more cheaper.

I spend some bitcoin to buy some graphics to mine the Ethereum. But I also bought some Ethereum directly.
146  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: July 19, 2016, 08:22:50 AM
if you have some patience, hold your bitcoin and make it double or triple it's value in less than a year, i already experienced that, when i started to have bitcoin it is just more than 200 dollars, in less than a year, it's already 600+ dollars. it is rising and no one can stop that.

I hold the bitcoin since the price of $50. I did not sell any. I just use that to buy some Etherem a few months ago.
147  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $800 they said... on: July 18, 2016, 03:01:19 PM
We will be going on that price soon.
Just wait for it. Bitcoin is now saving its strenght to go up till 1000$

That could be right. I think the bitcoin price is consolidating at the moment. After this period, the price will rise.
148  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: July 18, 2016, 03:00:23 PM
I spend some bitcoin to buy things on line. But there are not much I can buy by using the bitcoin at the moment.
149  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: July 18, 2016, 02:59:16 PM
The bitcoin is deflationary, it is not like the fiat, which will devalue year after year for the long term.
150  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halvening on: July 18, 2016, 02:58:06 PM
The halving will take its effect in the next few months or years. The price will rise due to the reduced supply.
The supply is not reduced. It increases toward 21 million with every block.

The daily supply of the new coins are reduced, or you can say the rate of the new bitcoin growth reduces.

I see that you have a full understanding, but "daily supply" is a poor term because the supply of bitcoins each day includes all bitcoins in existence, and not just the ones produced that day.

"Production" is a better term than "supply of the new coins" because it is more accurate and accepted, and it isn't as confusing.

That is right. When the bitcoin price rises, some holders will be attracted to sell their coins, that will increase the circulation.
151  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: July 18, 2016, 02:55:57 PM
There are many tolls and fuders in the forum. They might be employed by the bitcoin manipulators to  affect the price.
152  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: July 17, 2016, 09:25:32 AM
Bitcoin is the most undervalued asset/liability/however you want to call it, on the planet, so it's very difficult to spend your Bitcoins on meaningless stuff, for that, I use fiat. So I use bitcoin like gold, not like a currency.

It will change when the infrastructure is built for the bitcoin. More merchants will acccept bitcoin in the future.
Bitcoin will not succeed if it will not be recognize as currency first, to be name as currency that is the only way we can attract adopters to use bitcoins in online transaction to increase the circulation in the market that would eventually create demands.

Online transaction is quite good. I can buy some computer components with the bitcoin. It is quite easy.
153  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: July 17, 2016, 09:23:38 AM
I still hold my bitcoins from  $3 upwards....

If you bought $3,000 worth of bitcoin, you will be a dollar million in a few months. So it is good to hold.

As long as there is no big bug in the bitcoin technology or the developers develop it properly, the price will rise.
154  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halvening on: July 17, 2016, 09:22:22 AM
The halving will be profitable for us all and I think we can make a lot of money with just the halving right now.
Its very nice to have the halving near its gonna be very profitable.

The halving will take its effect in the next few months or years. The price will rise due to the reduced supply.

155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: July 17, 2016, 09:21:12 AM
Well IMO 800$ is very achievable it is just one pump away.   Grin I do hope that the pump we've all been waiting for will happen in weekends so that I can join the rally all day. Well wish the best, I do hope that what we all hope for will happen.

yeah, it is not hard for bitcoin to reach that much value, the value of bitcoin will start to increase after halving tomorrow and within a few hours it will reach to $800, for that yesterday I bout some bitcoins as i have believe on it.

In 2 or 3 weeks after the halving, if there is few coins to be dumped on the market, the price will be higher.

That is our hope. Fewer mined coins means fewer dumped coins. But if the price is higher, old coins will also be dumped.

It depends on the mass adoption of the bitcoin. If there is good usage of the bitcoin, the price will rise a lot.

The bitcoin prices rose a lot in the past few years, that is mainly due to the increasing usage of the bitcoin.

I am member now, could you update?
157  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we Manipulate Bitcoin price? on: July 14, 2016, 07:03:51 AM
yes , you can manipulate bitcoin price by dumping only if you have more than 10% of bitcoin , the recent manipulation of price by dump was because of Mike Hearn.

Who were behind the big rise in the May to June period? The bitcoin price rose more than 60% in a few weeks.

159  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 14, 2016, 07:00:39 AM
The bitcoin is a good investment. Its price rises in the long term. So it is better to hold it instead of cash.
160  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: July 14, 2016, 06:59:16 AM
when bitcoin price fail more than 5% i will buy it for selling in short time.
i think the bitcoin price is very hard to predict it

When bitcoin price fail more than 5% i will buy it. But I will not sell it when the price is high, I will just use it.
