161  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: July 14, 2016, 06:54:42 AM
Bitcoin is important today so how more in the future. Price will just rise that is sure but of course there are lots price fluctuations that will happen and that is usual in the world of bitcoin. Rather for others to think much of that just enjoy and believe what bitcoin can bring good advantage if you use it.

The price of bitcoin will rise according to the usage. So if we promote it and get more people to use it, it is better.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred/Siacoin GPU Miner v5.1 (Windows/Linux) on: July 14, 2016, 06:40:44 AM
ANN.
I released dual miner for AMD three months ago, still noone created similar public miner for Nvidia (though may be there are private miners, I don't know). I did not expect it.
I have an agreement not to create Nvidia miners, but it is about to expire.
So you will see dual miner for Nvidia soon anyway.

Can't wait  Grin Grin

I have x4 GTX 1070s running stable at 31MHs each, and interested to see if there's any increase in performance running your miner on Linux vs the current miner I'm running on Ubuntu 14.04...

How much is your power consumption? If it is significantly better than the RX 480 in terms of hash/power, it is good.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $800 they said... on: July 13, 2016, 03:54:47 PM
A couple of weeks ago we almost reached $800 but just before we were going to hit it the price dropped again which was a real let down.
I was ready for the price to rise even higher on to the $1000 but it was not mend to be that way.

It was unfortunate that bitcoin didn't cross the price of $800 at halving, but I think we should be satisfied with current price as $660 is not too bad price to hold.

It is actually good for the bitcoin price not to cross $800. If so, that will be a mini bubble, not good enough.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Incoming third bubble..? on: July 13, 2016, 03:53:19 PM
many crazy thing will happen, together with run on banks in Italy, situation is very similar to 2008 crash,we will have even election in USA with Trump like a candidate,so until the end of year will be crazy time on btc

If there is a financial crisis, the bitcoin price will rise a lot, like it did in 2013.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: July 13, 2016, 03:49:47 PM
Everyone was expecting a very high price increase during the block halving period. But nothing happened, the price left hanging at the same price range. What happened, are you expectin that it will maybe rise soon?

You are wrong, the majority of people was expecting a decrease of the bitcoin value the same day of the blockw reward halving. Now I think we will stay in this range for a couple of weeks maybe months.
I did not see more than maybe 1 or 2 users thinking that the price will decrease. The majority of users thought it will rise in this period, and they were talking about an increase in almost every thread in this section. Maybe I am wrong, but I think that there were more optimistic people here than those who thought the price would decrease.
YEah right i am one of them that thinking and expecting for the price increase not for decrease we know it will decrease after the price hit 800 value or more..

I think the price will trade around $600 to $800 in the next 5 months. Then it will rise to $900 or higher.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 13, 2016, 03:48:26 PM
because we can use bitcoin as cash, and we can send our bitcoin very simple, and we can withdraw our bitcoin instanly...

Bitcoin as cash is the hard part. Still retail store have not accepted bitcoin as a means of paying up their items. But I would really love to see it in the future. Many have opened but not one in our side of the world.  Grin

I can only computer parts in an online store which accpets bitcoin. It would be better if Amazon accepts it.
167  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: July 13, 2016, 03:41:55 PM
I do spend my Bitcoin wisely. I'd use it to buy digital goods, load, gamecards and kept my remaining Bitcoin and spend it only in times of needs or an emergency. Cool
Same like you, i spend bitcoin only for internet purpose like spend it on game online, buying giftcard or selling my stuff online. Also i use it for paying my daily bills. its better than banks cause it only takes small fee

Never use it in daily life.
I just keep btc as an investment purpose. It's cool this way, it avoids me from spreading everything ^^

I would say that it is better if you are going to stop spending actively because the price is going to increase.
And that's what I'm hoping because it is going to happen just like what happened this past few months.

each people have diffirent needs, i think spend his bitcoin for daily cost, buying food, shoap etc. is normal, if he not have dollar he must spend his bitcoin (withdraw), we need buying something everyday.

As of now I am not spending my bitcoins actively. And I just stopped it for a while. Because I'm going to get ready for the price increase of bitcoin.
It is because I know that the price of bitcoin is going to be profitable at all.

If you do not have a lot of bitcoin, it is better to save it. If you have quite a lot of coin, it is better to spend some.
168  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: July 12, 2016, 09:05:31 AM
I spend bitcoin whenever I can or when I short of fiat or when the bitcoin price is very high, there is a bubble.
169  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is over $9,000,000,000 in market capitalization for the 1st time in months on: July 12, 2016, 09:02:13 AM
I'm an economically minded noob.  What does the market cap mean for me and the value of the bitcoin I hold personally?  How is it a good thing?  Will it increase adoption, value, distribution?  Can it answer some of the questions I outlined here in the following thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1489137.new#new
Im not like you in 100% cjmoles " economically minded noob " (but you made me laugh buddy Cheesy) but i
still dont know too what actually market cap means.
Anyone up to help me understand it?

bitcoins that exists * value of bitcoins

(value can be dollars or shekel or grandpa cookies, w/e)

How is the value calculated if each exchange has his own rate and sometimes there is a big gap between them? Usually Huobi is $20 ahead of btc-e

That could be volume weighted average. But you have to exclude lots of volumes in the Chinese exchanges.
170  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: July 12, 2016, 08:59:46 AM
I wish I could get my freelance money btc.

Everyone wants to pay with Paypal, its sucks so much.

I have been in since btc were  $3 and I am still expanding my btc holdings which are fairly substantial by now....
Don't believe any panic or fud, it's just leeches trying to separate you from your coins.... Wink

It is good that your were in bitcoin before 2012. Some of us are in the crypto currency when the Ethereum was $3.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Altcoin Mining on: July 12, 2016, 08:58:10 AM
I've heard people mentioning that Ethereum won't be profitable for much longer. If so, what would the next likely altcoin to mine be? Also, what would be the best rig for a beginner miner be, in regards to an asic vs gpu setup?

When I get my RX 480 I'm going to mine Ether and hold it, because I think it's quite possible that the price will be $30 by the end of this year.
Ether has a good potential and I don't care if it's the real one or just speculative.

If you mine, and your electricity price is very low. It is fine. It is like buying the Ethereum at $2 each.
172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a big business??? on: July 12, 2016, 08:56:37 AM
Can someone tell me why Warren Buffett consider it a bad investment?

He is an old style investor. He wants to invested in tested investments such as silver or company with good cash flow.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: July 09, 2016, 02:50:45 PM
Well IMO 800$ is very achievable it is just one pump away.   Grin I do hope that the pump we've all been waiting for will happen in weekends so that I can join the rally all day. Well wish the best, I do hope that what we all hope for will happen.

yeah, it is not hard for bitcoin to reach that much value, the value of bitcoin will start to increase after halving tomorrow and within a few hours it will reach to $800, for that yesterday I bout some bitcoins as i have believe on it.

In 2 or 3 weeks after the halving, if there is few coins to be dumped on the market, the price will be higher.

That is our hope. Fewer mined coins means fewer dumped coins. But if the price is higher, old coins will also be dumped.
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support ICOs? on: July 09, 2016, 02:49:20 PM
If the coin worth i to invest,I will jiont the ICO.

The problem is that most of the ICO coins out there are just scams. It is very difficult to find a good coin.
175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is a big business??? on: July 09, 2016, 02:47:50 PM
The bitcoin is just 7 years old, but it is already worth about 9 billion dollars. I think it will worth a lot more, so a big business.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: July 09, 2016, 02:45:48 PM
Well congrats for holding your bitcoin man.  Grin I do hope that the price will rise more so that we'll profit more. IMO it will still rise so wait for it and be happy when the rise happen.

I do not know if the price will rise next week or next months, but I am pretty sure the price will rise in years.
I just think it is a long time. I applaud what you're doing. not everyone can hold their bitcoin within a few months, even more years. may hold a little longer to make aware to sell bitcoin. maybe you should target the price at which you can sell bitcoin what you have. maybe $ 800 is a pretty good number for selling bitcoin, but it all depends on you

If you want to hold the bitcoin for years, $800 or below is a good price to buy. The price will rise in the future.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support ICOs? on: July 08, 2016, 05:11:20 PM
We have to pay the developers. So ICO can be a way to set up the project initially. It might support the devlopement from scratch.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Altcoin Mining on: July 08, 2016, 04:58:28 PM
Maybe Monero (XMR) can be the replacement of Ethereum. Almost the same structure of BTC. I have seen it rise from 1.47 $ a coin to 1.95$  as of today. You can try mining it right now with MinerGate Smiley

The development of the Monero is not active. It is a botnet coin, good for the computer hackers. So no good community.
179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to go to US$800+ on: July 08, 2016, 04:53:50 PM
Yes the bitcoin is going to the amount of 800 dollar without any doubts because of the fact it has a very good worth in my eyes.
Its of course how you are looking at it but I must say that it has a very nice worth right now.

Even though the bitcoin price is just $650 at the moment. That is just a correction after big rise recently.
