1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: December 03, 2016, 03:30:58 AM
Pick 3 singles for today

Cleveland ML @ 1.75
Philadelphia ML @ 1.7
Atalanta ML @ 1.7

Bad day for you man, you might lose all your bets, currently you are 2/3 for loses. Just hope the cavaliers will come strong in the 4 quarter as it could be their 3rd losing streak if that happen. I guess it's another day for the underdogs today, can't really trust our instinct on betting on favorites.
It just seems that all the good teams from last season have lost there games just this week.
76's is the only one there I know of that was losing alot last week but it looks like they were starting to turn their luck around. But apparently not. Undecided
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: December 03, 2016, 02:25:10 AM
a person can become addicted to gambling in my opinion because he had experienced a victory quite a lot of gambling until he returned gamble tomorrow to make a profit as it does today
Well this is how one starts down the road into gambling and once they go down that path it is very difficult to come back from that if gone to far.
This is what I believe anyways. Undecided
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you watch a sports game that you bet? on: December 03, 2016, 02:23:51 AM
If I bet a small amount I watch because I do not try pulling out my hair while I am watching. So i enjoy the game as it is entertainment.
If I have a large wager on that game I don't watch because it will cause me a heart attack if my team loses so I prefer not to watch and go do something else to keep my mind off the game.
1004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 33000 unconfirmed transactions, OMG!, what happened?? on: December 02, 2016, 11:47:14 PM
It happened just last week too but I think it was half that amount.
33,000 is a huge number especially when one of them is yours.
Just like mine are. Angry
1005  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ice Hockey Bets on: December 02, 2016, 11:34:39 PM
Minnesota to score first sounds about right for them. But the Flames are red hot right now as the above poster has said it will hard for the Wild to pull out a win in this game.
Congrats on your last win yesterday it was a nice one! Wink
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: December 02, 2016, 11:13:35 PM
I had this dream once but it has since faded because of how fast it has risen.
I was dreaming of it when it was $290 per coin when I was getting some for side trading but now that it is near $500 more now that is not going to happen because I absolutely have none except maybe $20 worth in my wallet.
1007  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have $21 payza want 0.018 on: December 02, 2016, 11:11:27 PM
Do you still need this trade done PatriciaParakeet?
I haven't seen you respond to any of the response you have received in this thread in doing a successful trade yet.
If your account is verified then there should be no problem for a buyer to do this for you on the spot.
Let me know in a pm please if you want to do this please.
1008  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: December 02, 2016, 10:49:16 PM
The Expanse is a nice sci fi story exclusive to netflix. Kinda unknown. Worth the check

The Expanse is on SyFy...

what is SyFy?
It's a television station that shows sci-fi content only 24 hours a day.
It is a paid subscription tv channel.
1009  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 02, 2016, 09:17:25 PM
Don't think so. I think if we happen to hit the $800 price level that we have done an amazing job this year. I really can't see it settle or reach anywhere near the $900 levels (let alone reach $1000). Every time the price is going up in a decent manner people seem to have unrealistically high expectations. I prefer the price to go up slowly to $1000 where we reach it later in 2017 or maybe even 2018. This year comes way too soon.
I think your estimations are quite realistic and that is the way it should go if it is to keep any of it's growth in the last day. Steady and then wait.
1010  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is Solar mining really profitable? on: December 02, 2016, 09:14:13 PM
The initial cost and setup can be in the ten's of thousands so if you plan on mining just alt coins then it is not profitable. But if you are able to sell off the hashpower then you could possibly make your investment back but it will take a while to see any profit if any.
1011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2016, 08:14:23 PM
I don't think he will reveal himself. Different from many people here who think he will get arrested or pay a nice cut in taxes I think he will be persecuted and tortured to hack bitcoin or show flaws on it.

That's why I am sure 101% he will not reveal himself as revealing himself means destroying his own creation. I think Satoshi is much but much much smarter than that.
You think they would punish him if he did reveal himself?
Maybe he saw that coming and that's why he went into hiding in the first place.
He is a smart man and usually they have the right instincts and trust them.
Thus never revealing his true identity to be thrown in jail or worst in other countries.
1012  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 02, 2016, 07:35:47 PM
I'd be happy to be stable over $800 by Xmas.

A real gift would be to reach $930USD which would be a new CAD ATH.
I would really like it to be able to stay stable because everytime it has risen this fast in the past it comes down just as much as it rose to such levels.
So good luck to everybody that is predicting that this will be the new high for other currencies.
1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longest bitcoin transaction that you have waited? on: December 02, 2016, 07:09:14 PM
For me it was almost 2 days
This is the same as it took last week when the blockchain was saturated with transactions and the rest being unconfirmed just like it is becoming now.
1014  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can tell me what difference in using Paxful and Localbitcoin on: December 02, 2016, 06:53:09 PM
paxful honestly it is just new to me which is low repuation.. so in my own opinion it is good to choose local bitcoin since they are just the same like other said localbitcoin is old site which already have a good reputation here in our forum and other people and i think it is more people are using in local bitcoin  than paxful.
I would agree with you to do this instead of using a relatively new service for something so hard to trade with in the first place.
Being around for a longer time does show it's reliability in a service.
1015  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC at $1,000 by Christmas? on: December 02, 2016, 05:29:25 PM
It is certainly looking this way right now.
With the way bitcoin price is surging the way it has been doing for the last 12 hours.
1016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: December 02, 2016, 05:28:09 PM
I always thought we would be in a cashless society but didn't see anything like bitcoin in the future.
But now that it is here it does go hand in hand with what I thought it might be like.
1017  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can tell me what difference in using Paxful and Localbitcoin on: December 02, 2016, 05:11:33 PM
Localbitcoins is used by a lot of people and has good marwt grip over paxful . Personally I have never used paxful and have been using localbitcoins for years. Posting a trade in lbtc is bit more intricate.
So you are saying that one is influenced by the other?
Alot of people in LBC has a good market grip in paxful is what you are saying?
Clarify please since you are a lbc user with some experience in that environment.
1018  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Bitcoin price ever drop back down to $500? on: December 02, 2016, 04:33:26 PM
It is not looking that way right now as all signs show it going to the top. Grin
With the Christmas season within this month it is highly unlikely that the price will ever drop below this level that you are asking about. If not double it by then because it is just the beginning of the month of the highest selling season of the year and can only get higher then go lower.
1019  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I have made a Lightning FAQ – Feedback appreciated! on: December 02, 2016, 04:19:00 PM
Thanks. This is needed now more than ever with all the unconfirmed transactions.
I have a couple that have been stuck this way for the last 12 hours and would like this to be available as a choice now so to not have my bitcoins sitting in limbo like this.
1020  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: December 02, 2016, 04:09:26 PM
It is solely out of fear for themselves not buying when it was low.
Many are regretting not buying 24 hours ago when it was 10% less than it is now.
They could of turned a mighty profit if they bought $10k worth of bitcoin and grabbed atleast 15% with selling it now.
Not bad for 2 days of doing nothing really. Embarrassed
