1101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fidel Castro Dies at 90. Today is the day Cuba is .. on: November 27, 2016, 05:52:31 PM
whatever people here are saying that doesn't change the fact that Castro is a hero and of course not all of people will agree cause this how politics work
he survived more than 600 killing attempts from the US and died at 90 , this is alone a great achievement  Smiley

A hero? I agree that with his death the cold war era is finally over. But what will Russia start up now that one of their allies have passed? Will they come to Trumps side now as an ally to fight ISIS?

Russia has been fighting the ISIS for the last two years. On the other hand, the Americans were indirectly helping the ISIS, by attacking the pro-government forces (the bombing of Deir Ezzor was the most brazen attempt by the US till now, to help the ISIS).
So you are saying that US is in league with ISIS in directly? That is a bold statement I would say if you are an American here having your leader in fact help the terrorists in doing what they do.
Didn't you hear the statement they put out saying that the Macy's day parade for Thanksgiving was the perfect place to impose their fear upon. Even if there are kids there:

1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2016, 05:47:52 PM
I do believe that this new president cause bitcoin to stall and even lose value because it was above what it is now by 5%. Could it be because this president brags about not having to pay taxes
So I do think that he is not good for the nature of bitcoin and what it could stand for. Because he is a ruthless business man after all and will try to impose a tax on it and have the IRS do to with the rest of the bitcoin users what they are doing with coinbase customers now.

Maybe Justin has some of Castro's influence in him.
Will wait and see cause the Prime minister's honeymoon is over in that country and tough times are coming for him and his decisions will be judged under the fine magnifying glass for weeks to come.

Canada drama is brewing..
Castanet - Kelowna News - Trudeau statement backlash

I seen that news earlier today and how our Prime Minister recently met with his son. (current leader)

I don't know i guess i sort of see the problem.
If the old guy was responsible for human rights violations then i guess our PM should have kept his mouth shut.

Our current PM said he was sad to hear the news etc.
Which caused people all over to get pissed off at him.
If your a Canadian then you should know that Pierre Trudeau was great friends with Castro and visited him frequently.

1106  Economy / Goods / Re: Marijuana and Crypto on: November 27, 2016, 06:50:30 AM
I remember there was a marijuana delivery business here and they were using drones to deliver the product. Not so trusting fellows but yea they are doing it.  Don't know what happen to them these days, if they are accepting struggling coins dedicated for dopes the industry could have been better.
It is getting legalized in most of the first world countries. And is even grown by the goverments to give as medical based medicine for chronic pain.
Even kids are taking it and it is prescribed by their doctor to use it because kids are depressed and they rather them use it then commit suicide at 11 years old.

1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: November 27, 2016, 04:55:07 AM
Why do you need to convince your father doing anything? Roll Eyes
He is old enough to make decisions for him self. And to know if it will be a good or bad one by now.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ice Hockey Bets on: November 27, 2016, 04:52:12 AM
Best of luck today on your bets. Montreal Canadians are playing some good hockey this year, but they are very unpredictable for me, especially when they lost 10 -0 lol. I hope you win this bet though. Carolina is a team that can be very annoying.
Not really. They have the best record in the league right now. So don't bet against them. But when they lose they lose big.
I don't think Carey Price was in net that night when they blown out. That is what I attributing that loss too. Cheesy
1110  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: November 27, 2016, 02:49:50 AM
Not possible unless you have skill set you can over as a service in exchange for bitcoin.
Or else you need to have the capital so you can get some bitcoin to start you off then you work on it from there.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 27, 2016, 02:47:52 AM
This will be interesting match Chelsea vs Tottenham
I prefer to bet over. I have my pick bet on over 2.5 goals in this match.
Very close with this one. Just need one side to score. They have 15 minutes and both teams are very talented.
One winning 6 matches in a row and the other not defeated yet in the season thus far.
We will have to wait and see how this one turns out but it is over on your pick. Wink
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: November 27, 2016, 02:46:20 AM
My friends doesn't care about bitcoins, they think its for people who doesn't have nothing smart to do. They ask me where is my money from it I say I keep everything in bitcoins, I don't wish to sell them! Their answer on that is that I dont have nothing and that I will not be able to cash them out.
I'm trying to explain them but I'm losing patience. They will see one day who was right and who was wrong.
They probably did not understand the importance of Bitcoin, and the problems that it can solve. But I believe that their vision will change in this regard, especially when Bitcoin reaches the mainstream media. You can anticipate this by giving better details about the changes that Bitcoin can bring in the world economy.
I have met many people like this. They are not giving bitcoin a chance because they have in their minds "They don't want to play around with their money!" mentality. And they obviously need to exchange their fiat currency in for the digital currency because they don't have a clue on how to obtain it any other way. Some of don't by doing services in exchange for our bitcoin while the general public does not know how they would be able to do this or do not have the asset on hand to do just this.
1113  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Best Hardware wallet ? on: November 27, 2016, 02:43:24 AM
This is what I meant.
If your wish is to store 10,000 bitcoins on a Ledger USB key, you can. But that's extremely risky.
If your budget is big enough, purchase few USB keys and divide all your coins upon those different keys.

If you mean that a Ledger USB is risky then what's the difference multiple Ledger USBs ?
It's not that you can store the same bitcoin on multiple Ledger USBs like a wallet.dat backup on regular USBs.
If the Ledger USB is lost then you can restore your bitcoins by buying another Ledger USB and write the 24 words seeds to restore the wallet.
You have somewhat of a point. But look at that one guy who was here earlier this year who buried his bitcoins that were on weather proof usb keys and is planning on digging them up in a decade or so to retrieve them. Now that is a brave thing to do relying on technology vs nature's wear like that.
1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India is Paying $900+ for Bitcoin Amid Cash Crisis on: November 27, 2016, 02:19:27 AM
That is an over inflated amount that these people are paying and no wonder some of them have resorted to buying them on the black market for cheaper rates. That is just insane! Isn't that more than what China is paying per coin?

I think using a linux box would be your best hardware wallet right now. Undecided
1116  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Starts to Slow Down on: November 26, 2016, 10:07:25 PM
Yup, I sent $50 (in BTC) to a currency exchange and receive a fee of $2(in BTC) that should be at 2 months ago only fee less than $1 (in BTC).
Value of bitcoin in terms of fiat doesn't matter on recommended fee to put your transaction in higher priority for getting confirmed within next block. It depends on transaction size which is based on number of inputs and number of outputs in your transaction. https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ this can give you better understanding regarding relation between fee and size of transaction and it will also help you to understand what is current recommended fee per byte of your transaction which keep changing.
That is a nice site to calculate the fees. I will use it next time I have to send so to know how much to apply to my transaction before sending it so it doesn't get delayed so much like last time.
Thanks.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: November 26, 2016, 09:53:54 PM
They think it is great and want to use more and more as soon as they get some,
so yeah it is quite a popular currency people around me want to use more than the local fiat currency.

Where do you live ? Is the peoples in your place there a stores or etc that accept bitcoin with the result that so many peoples around you more use and interest bitcoin rather than local fiat ?
Honestly, I have a little doubt about it. Because normal the most peoples keeping comfort and like to use a local fiat and put the other currency like bitcoin and second priority. Except you live in a big city that all of the aspect of life is modern.
In a big city so yes there are many stores that accept bitcoin for payments for services too.
Why is that so hard to believe if there is interest in using it for everyday things that we buy?
Local fiat is losing trust from the people here so they do not want to use it any more and turn to using a currency that they like and enjoy to use instead.

Best wallet I tried and I recommend is KeepKey, they have a minimal and robust design, compatible with many Softwares, work on all OS - best investment ever.

Never heard of it. Can you post a link to their site?
Closest thing I have found was something from Norton antivirus.

https://www.keepkey.com/
Alright. If you didn't mention about this I would of overseen it. I do hope it is cheaper than Trezor and as versatile as Ledger nano is. Now that would be an all-in-one solution for a hardware wallet.
