921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is bountyhive honest ? hell NO on: May 17, 2018, 09:30:15 PM
So you think they're a scam because they didn't approve you of in any of their campaigns ? Well..that doesn't sound like a scam to me.But it would have been great if they could send a custom notification as in why you were rejected.

On the other side,I still think this could be their programming related bug if it's happening to a lot of people.Any official representatives of the service in the community ?
I don't see any bug-related problems and selection would always vary into their interest knowing that each program do have only corresponding number of applicants specially on translation. Each project will only have 1 on each language and hes not only the candidate to be chosen. This isn't really considered to be a scam but rather this is just a simple reaction for a person who cant accept that there are much better than him. 922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suspicious of the Crypto Market: Why must all the Coins go RED at the same time? on: May 14, 2018, 09:04:44 PM
If all the coins go RED, should you buy the coins that go green?
I dont know if this is a serious question or not but just to answer it up. Who would be the dump person would buy that coin in green when the market is on red tide? You are surely going into opposite way.

It is more or less the same with the stock market. Ever heard of the black friday. It is market psychology that a lot of people sell when they see red numbers, because they think they are going to loose a lot more if they hold. Long term hodlers should more or less just ignore the red numbers and stick to their long term goals.
Those are just beliefs or tradition on traders part and it is just applied into stock or forex market but crpytocurrency market is way too different where even a small fud will mainly give effect.
923  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Selling BTC vs Borrowing with BTC collateral in US on: May 14, 2018, 08:36:26 PM
Why are people always ready to find some ways in order to avoid paying these taxes? They are not so high so to take such risks.
You are right I think paying tax is a small amount of us and affordable to pay, why are trying to make underground by the government just to avoid paying taxes you nearly in risk when you do that you may put in jail once you are caught that not paying taxes.
It's a simple protocol that you obey the law given by the government, just like cheating when you are not paying your obligation to the country besides you are contributing a little amount into your economic state.
Personal matters or whatsoever on what would be the reason then its their own business where there really people who do mind up on evading or not paying tax which as being said it is not actually big as we know and we do still have the capability on paying it up without having any doubts or worry into yourself that you might get imprison because of such violation. For op, just do the method or way which you can able to secure yourself to be safe.Dont go in the wrong path  Cheesy

Quote
CAMPAIGN MANAGER - the one that you should always consider, because if the bounty manager is scammer then the bounties itself is a scam

This point would be valid in most of the cases but it must be emphasized that the other way around might not be always true.
Consider the case of trusted bounty managers, they look into the project but if the intentions of the ico's team is to scam everyone they would target the manager too and he might not able to differentiate it.

The best way is to DYOR (Do Your Own Research) whether it be investment of money or your precious time.
But it can't be right in always because when we see a recent scam bounty called bitbliss run by aTriz one of the most reputed manager of our forum, everyone has the price tag even the good managers can be bought by scammers. So do your own research is the best thing we can do before joining in bounties.
DYOR would always been suggested and dont easily fall out into the things where your eyes are seeing. Trust can be attained and sympathy would be get if a certain manager would have a good record but once a mistake had been done then trust would be gone in an instant where you would really hesitate into your next move if you would still follow or continue to engage with it.Not all reputable managers are prone or guaranteed that they wont scam. They might build reputation but in the end Project potential and legitimacy should be always checked.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about airdrop that required apps install? on: May 14, 2018, 07:37:42 PM
I found a project offering an airdrop but required participants to download and install their mobile app. The app is newly made with only few hundreds download and I don't think I'll ever use it.

Is it too risky?
I have experienced to encounter such thing into these kind of airdrops where you would really need to install an app.Either on pc or mobile installing into unstrusted sources into the internet will really have always that kind of risk or danger where you might able to get infected and stole of important informations store into your device.I have seen lots of scenarios based on my experience.Losing up money due to virus or malware is rampant. If you are careless enough then most likely you would really end up the same.
926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insurance or cryptocurrency investment? on: May 13, 2018, 07:52:19 PM
Why old topic being bumped yet is almost 8 months on where the last reply had been posted.?

Going back on topic, i dont know why pulling out insurance money just to put up on crypto investments, if you can embrace the risk in crypto then proceed but if not and you arent sure better stay those funds insurance.

Oh, Oh, are you serious?! You can't trade for the money you need. Everything could collapse at any moment. There may be objective reasons - such as a government ban. You can stay with nothing.
This indeed one of the reasons but this kind of thing on happening would really be on slim chances.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: A bloody day! Should I invest in virtual currency? on: May 13, 2018, 06:40:49 PM
Look at the market that I was so scared! Do not know where to start?

Even though the market is performing well, that is the best time where you can buy coins that have a future. You shouldn't buy coins whenever the coins are in green because you won't be able to buy more if that happens. Whenever the market goes red, buy more and hold and repeat the same process over and over again.
Buying on dips was never been a bad idea but the thing on here is that we should not really be careless on which coin we should buy.Lets say you do have the money to buy on but you careless select then it would still be useless. Bloody days is just a normal day on crypto and we know on how volatile it is. The fact here is that there are lots of people who do easily panic specially newbie investors or traders who just recently bought their coin and then the price goes down and do cut loss. Now we are preparing for a bull run once again and its really the best time to acummulate.
928  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to avoid bounty scams in bitcointalk on: May 13, 2018, 04:08:11 PM
In order to avoid bounty scams you need to consider 2 things:

1. CHECK THE PROJECT - you need to do research about the bounty, the project team, the whitepaper because some might just copy and paste it, the advisors, roadmap, bounty pool and ofcourse the founder you need to be a good observer, check their background because sometimes by just merely observing and reading you will know right away if the bounty is a scam.

2. CAMPAIGN MANAGER - the one that you should always consider, because if the bounty manager is scammer then the bounties itself is a scam, and it is really obvious if the bounty manager has a negative trust then surely he or she is scammer, one thing to consider also is the rank of the bounty manager the higher the rank the higher the legit factor, you can always do research here there are many list of legit and reliable bounty manager and the list of all bounty manager scammers.

thank you for your kindness!
hope it helps!
more power!

I do completely agree with 1st point of check the project .
but regarding campaign manager rank in forum , then want to tell you something that i saw many good projects use service of full member rank manager , even some do manage bounty themselves so they have only junior member rank account.

What I am trying to say is the higher the rank the greater the responsibility. Say for example the bounty manager is legendary he won't risk his account as a legendary knowing that the campaign is a scam and he himself is a scammer. So if the bounty is being managed by a legendary you can't argue that it is not legit.
I dont want to spoil your beliefs but not only having a legendary account into this forum would already signifies legitimacy of a certain project. How about putting up consideration on checking those accounts if being sold or not? There are already instances into this forum where there are legendary accounts do handle out bounties but in the end it turn out to be scam. Always have the awareness and be sensible anytime if you do see suspicious acts.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How should I split my $100k? on: May 13, 2018, 01:12:44 PM
Hello guys, If you put $100k to crypto, how would you split it ? Thank you
If that 100k is just having the sole purpose thru investment then better allocate 50% on traditional investments in physical world and other 50% would be on crypto. Dont go all in with crypto if you arent ready on the risk on losing out money. Diversify should always be the motto when it comes to investment so you can able to lessen the risk on getting wrecked. Dont fomo or all in one coin because recovery would really be hard.
Go for top 10 altcoins in the market.
930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the risk necessary to make a big profit? on: May 12, 2018, 10:02:27 PM
Well, some times the higher the risk the higher the profit, i will say the risk really worth it because at the end you gain hug profit from your investment.
But on the other side you will possible being wrecked up when the market price opposes on what you had predicted which it is just balance on where it might give you some big profits if price do head that way but if not then you should be prepared on the negative side. Sometimes experiencing this would really be hard to move on specially when the funds being used is on savings. Just only invest on the amount that you can afford to lose.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy low and sell high is very tough on: May 12, 2018, 09:05:28 PM
When you ask someone for advise they always say buy low and sell high but this is very tough.

What is your strategy for buying low and selling high?

Do you agree with buy low and sell high is very tough?
This is just really a basic thing but executing it would really be pain in the ass and you wont even know when you are already on the battlefield of trading. The thing on here is that you wont really easily recognize on which coin you would tend to buy.If you dont have sufficient knowledge on trading then this would really be hard even though the basic idea is too simple but you wont even make sure on how to move because you dont have any knowledge at all but its not really a thing that would block us up to enhance our skills. Just try and try until you would able to figure it out.
932  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [SOLVED][CRYPTOPIA] Pending Deposit 2 Weeks since I created the ticket on: May 12, 2018, 08:41:13 PM
Last Update :
My GBYTE balance is back, cheers,
Wish everyone who has the same issues, are all resolved.
Kindly check your cryptopia account guys
Since the issue between you and cryptopia and on most people on here which do have similar deposits had been resolved already then its much wiser to close up this topic. Thanks

Glad to see my Gbyte on my wallet already after almost a month OMG, I just missed a lot of trading opportunity that makes a good profit.
I guess they already fixed the wallet issue and have returned all the pending deposit.
Thats really a long wait which do really shows up on how poor is the technical support of the site.If they do mean up on having a maintenance then week time would really be sufficient.
Instead on minding for next deposits success better not to use their wallet on receiving those gbytes.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Do airdrops provide any real value to new Blockchain projects these days? on: May 12, 2018, 07:58:52 PM
I think there's at least 3-5% real value while others are scam one example is hydro it has a huge potential total supply is 11 billion and has a circulating supply of 2.63b i got 333 333 hydto just by joining airdrop, and has a real projects and got three partnership in one of the most largest firm in the planet. Hydro Co founder Mike will be one of the confirmed speaker of Blockchain economic forum In San Francisco this May!
Hydro developed hydro 2FA made in blockchain technology and  to be used by big fintech companies worldwide!

Hold your Hydro guys..Hydro could reach Jupiter this year!
I would rather giving on 1-2% for those coins that being airdropped to be successful. Its on very low chance thats why i considered them to be trash or garbage which i dont know why some people do keep on collecting those useless coins but still you can able to hit the chance on making some money but dont expect too much because they wont go to moon. Never. You might able to gain money but would only on small amounts.I dont see any value but this is just rather part of distribution.
934  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The pump and dump tactic on: May 12, 2018, 07:20:30 PM
As you know, one of the most popular kinds of manipulations on the cryptocurrency market. Big players on the cryptocurrency market are known as whales. They can manipulate the cryptocurrency price using the tactic “Pump and dump”. Whales buy a lot of cryptocurrency in several days causing price increases. This attracts new investors to the cryptocurrency because hamsters want to buy more cryptocurrency in hopes that the price will be raising and they will be able to sell assets for the higher price. But this isn’t happening, because whales, after gaining a specified mark, begin to dump coins. In such way, whales get a profit, and the price of the cryptocurrency falls. How do you think how not to become the prey of such kind of whales` manipulations?

Theres no way that you can avoid such thing because as an investor if you arent a whale then you are really prone to be caught into those situations like dumps in the market which causes for you to have negative floating which would possibly for you to cut loss or panic sell. They do have the capability since they do have the money to move market prices or do influence its movements and thats how it goes.As a small time trader or investor instead on minding how to avoid its much wiser for you to think on how you would gonna ride their movements.Very hard thing but once you will able to analyze then you would really be profitable for sure.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most alts are worth Zero on: May 11, 2018, 08:17:49 PM
I think your right. The most altcoins have absolutly no value. Theres no need for them. The only thing you can do with them is trading on exchange. Just a small amount of altcoins can be used to pay for stuff. So there are just pure speculation coins. ALso with the tokens on the ethereum blockchain. They are created without any projects behind. And the tokens who have a project behind, are not developed yet and will take a long time untill they will be and used in real case.
I have lost already my trust a long time ago with erc20 tokens which most of them do really flood the entire market which projects do keeps on launching and launching without any value or logical ideas or the main purpose why they were created for this is why most of those coins end up to be a shit coin or die/delisted on exchangers.Only those coins that do have their own chain will able to survive based on my own view.
936  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KUcoin forcing KYC for every users on: May 11, 2018, 07:13:10 PM
They haven't said any withdrawal limit for unverified members so we might still be able to withdraw without verification.

In verification field they are even asking for source of fund which is terrible for any crypto user.

I also have some fund there quite terrified with this decision, this is the reason why all this new exchanges that are popping up everyday are not good for serious trading. Binance is still number one....
Sooner or later most exchangerts would really be already into this path where they would impose KYC because they do really need to comply on what have been asked specially if government would really took involvement.Ive seen that situation and aware on what happened to bittrex after implementing kyc proceedings. It do took its rank which we can really presume that most members wont really always prefer to show up their identity.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥SMAS forum black list🔥🔥 on: May 11, 2018, 05:18:25 PM
This post has nothing to do in services discussion which i do believe this would really belong on Meta section.

Talking back towards the Topic, SMAS was created by Popular managers into this forum which do handle out signature campaigns ex. Lauda, yahoo, lutpin etc. which this list do compose of spammers in the campaign on where they do handle. If you are on Smas list then you are banned on joining into those campaigns handled by them which is unfortunate. You can removed yourself out but would really takes time depending if they would have the time to review your post quality once again.
938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Massive loss 40% underwater on: May 11, 2018, 04:42:38 PM
Got in at the height of Jan this year and all holdings lost more than half from the previous peak.

Very frustrated and was afraid that crypto will be zeroed out, so sold at massive loss more than 50%+ realized loss

After sold last week, all coins came back up 10-20%, even more frustrated, what to do?
That is why proper timing on when to sell and nuy is important. I assume you are newbie in trading specifically in crypto trading where in price movement is unpredictable and hlvery volatile. to be a good trader you need first to  experience failure as ehat happen to you as this be a good teacher not to commit same mistake again in the future. i suggest to buy only good quality coin such as btc, eth, ada xem neo and other high potential coin and don't concentrate in day trade goal set just for ling term first until you familiarized your coin price movement.
Those coins that you had mentioned is not only good for long term but you can also utilize to make money out of it on short term basis but though you would really need have the skills on doing trading.Mistakes are indeed the great teacher because these things will tell us on which thing should be avoided next.Even though we cant perfectly evade it but those things will be helpful all along and as you gain experience you find out these loss are just normal on doing this kind of investment.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Do you prefer utility tokens or dividend tokens on: May 10, 2018, 05:37:45 PM
I prefer utility tokens because I don't want any hassle or trouble down the road from governments and exchanges delisting my coins. I do have some dividend tokens right now but am looking to get rid of them for this exact reason.
Very well said which I do believe that wise investors would always target up utility tokens than on dividend ones.It might takes time for you to make money but you would really assure yourself that it can really go for long term. The problem commonly on dividend tokens which it can really be easily tangled up with problems.
940  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-10] BTC Wallet Electrum: ‘Bitcoin-stealing Malware’! on: May 10, 2018, 04:26:07 PM
Popular bitcoin wallet service Electrum has released evidence demonstrating that copycat client “Electrum Pro” is “bitcoin-stealing malware.”

First launched in 2011, Electrum has long been one of bitcoin’s most popular wallet clients, and many users trust the wallet for its proven security, ease-of-use, and its support for advanced features like multisig authentication and compatibility with hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.

Recently, a new wallet that goes by a similar name — Electrum Pro — popped up with the domain name, electrum.com, clearly attempting to divert users from the official website at electrum.org.

The team behind Electrum now claims Electrum Pro is a malware meant to steal bitcoins. To make things worse, Electrum Pro comes above the legitimate Electrum on Google search because of Google Ads, a fact that will clearly trip up many users.

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-stealing-malware-btc-wallet-electrum-exposes-malicious-copycat/
Ive seen this ads recently ago when I do tried out to download electrum wallet once again because I had my pc reformatted and my instincts tell me that this would really be just an another phishing or malware download attempts which I do only trust electrum.org among all links yet this is the legit ones and been commonly used. I didn't tried out to download or click the link yet I didn't even saw community feedback on this one and now it is really totally announce that this is an another malware attempt.
