341  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: How to store my Bitcoin? on: April 15, 2015, 11:02:57 AM
Hello,

I invested in bitcoin and price came down (alot). so i want to store my bitcoin in safe place.

i didn't trust any exchange because they would gone by overnight.

I'm not going to watch Bitcoin industry / price for next 2-3 years. so i just wanted to store in safe place.

i don't want store in offline wallet because of virus & malware in my computers.

Anyone have best suggestion for me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi ramkumar

I will suggest you to use bitgo multi sig personal wallet. I have used it personally and have only positive things about it.
If you find it too difficult send me pm or email at mahin@zebpay.com and will be pleasure to help you with that.

In case you want to leave it very simple you can go with Armory paper wallet.

If you want to go with Hardware wallets, you can use Trezor, personally used it and its just awesome.

I guess, coinsecure has plans to sale trezors so pm Benson or contact coinsecure team if they are selling it or not.

It looks like user submitted content and not actual reporting.

Same as Zimbabway declaring BTC as official currency.

Relax Smiley

Amazon.com vouchers are USD vouchers, so available only to countries with USD currency like USA. Indian customers will not be able to see Amazon.com vouchers.

Dominos should be available by next week.

Hi sir,

When you going to add BMS and PAytm?

Hi,

BMS we are working on along with PVR and cleartrip. Paytm looks tough at this moment as they do not allow bulk discounts. We will try for them for sure after getting current one in pipeline released.

Thanks
Mahin

@mahin , you haven't sent me details for becoming a Verified Seller yet , i might just be doing Paytm Recharges at some discount , i wonder if paytm allows to make and give coupons instead of doing recharge . Undecided

Hi sky

Sent you a PM.

I have doubts that you will find anything there.

so finally you have iphone app. that was a surprise. where is the announcement? dont think i can buy anything there yet though. cant find any + on the app. interesting though. i was ignoring zebpay completely till now, as i do not use android. Will look into you guys as well now.

Actually we have few tech glitches with iOs version and we have not started advertising it now. Once we will have those resolved we will start a full fledged campaign for iOs launch ( expected by 21st April ). Buy is not available on iPhone natively, but you can use same process as you can perform all steps manually Smiley

You are welcome. Within a week I am going to write a review on each one of them. Since I have been using most for over 6 months now.

Try Zebpay, buy too Smiley

Disclaimer : It is quick buy for small amounts of bitcoins for users with a bit unusual process Smiley
1. Download Zebpay from Android play store, you will also get 100 bits free on download now.
2. Once you reach home screen, click on + button in the bottom and go to Buy
3 For first order of 500 INR or less you dont ned to verify your account, so you can simply go through order process.
4. For orders above 500 or second order you need to get verified. Just send copy of your PAN card to verify@zebpay.com or scan it with Scan your PAN card button. We will verify your account in less than 24 hours Smiley
5. Now you can get details of current seller and his bank account details on transfer details. Our current seller is buysellbitco.in ( India's first and most trusted bitcoin exchange ). In near future you will see few more sellers there competing with each other to sell you coins, stay tuned Smiley
6. Go ahead and send funds to that account as per AML rules.
7. On next processing cycle ( 12 PM and 5 PM are two processing cycles ), your order will get executed if we have confirmed your payment. So if your payment is received before 11 am you will get bitcoins in your Zebpay account at 12 Pm, if we received it between 11 am and 4 Pm, your order will get executed at 5 PM and if we receive it between 4 PM and next day 11 am again it will be processed next day 12 PM Smiley Rate will be applied of processing time.

This process is going to be automatic and instant in coming days.

A great succint presentation!

few notes :
1. At around 7 mins in, he says that because fiat isn't actually being transferred in case of electronic transactions, hence we need to trust a third party. This is absolutely correct but gives the impression that somehow btc is applicable only to fiatless third-party-based situations whereas you can implement bitcoin using any kind of computing network (even a bunch of scientific calc or even just pen and paper) and offers advantages, like the fiat that you are receiving might take 10 minutes to be secure, but it is the real world equivalent of you checking the note was not fake, then calling RBI to confirm that the number on the note is indeed in circulation and then somehow the police checks the notes in circulation in the entire world to confirm that there isn't even a fake note with a number on it! This happens everytime you wait 10 mins. Would you wait 10 mins for such kinda security? No? You are just selling veggies? No problem. Use litecoin. But remember, now you only gave the police 2 minutes to go around the world.

2. He goes on to say that we thus we can see that we need an anonymous currency. Let me tell you, bitcoin is not anonymous. No crypto is. And there is a mathematical reason for it. And no that reason is not clustering and IP forensics etc.

3. At 11 he says no third party, which is again true. But later on he should add that this third party in our case is the internet of miners.

4. At 12, you don't even need smartphones. You just need to know counting. Write any hexadecimal string 256 bit long. Congratulations, you have a bank account and this string is your password.

5. 16:00 Bitcoin ATMs, there are some in India as well Smiley Checkout localbitcoins. We have one in delhi!

6. In the end he should have concentrated on what zebpay is, which was rushed through and he came to the offers like flipkart etc ..

But I really LOVE bitcoins! Where are my 50 rs worth ? Wink

Thanks for feedback, we really appropriate it.

The idea with this presentation was to explain why Bitcoin. We initially started our presentations ( trust me we have given a lot of presentations ) where we covered Bitcoin's advantages its technical brilliance but no one was able to understand it ( Most of the time it was me who decided content). So after lot of discussions Sandeep decided he will do it in his own way and decided no mention of complex innovative Bitcoin concepts, just present them why Bitcoin and propose it as a better solution than existing system. IMHO it worked very well.

We never wanted to promote Zebpay in the video, it is conscious decision. We wanted to make sure people first understand Bitcoin and not Zebpay. I have been here from a long time and I learned that its Bitcoin that needs to be marketed first, we can market our products later and if we have good product in hand people will automatically love it.

I will ask Sandeep to answer, discuss few of the points you have raised.

purse.io - btc on Amazon, upto 25% off
zebpay - btc on flipkart, 10% off

Thanks for headsup Smiley

1. Amazon.in and flipkart is not available on Purse.io
2. Purse.io has very different business model then us. Here we directly sale you amazon.in, flipkart.com ( paytm, bms coming very soon ) and you dont need to wait for matching third party order.

I do not criticize purse here, they are great service but have different business model.

By the way now you can buy 1000 INR worth of vouchers from Amazon, 500 coming soon in stock today.
