Can you show some proofs of refunds from BFL?
I am being skeptical on this one.

Well lots of people used this method and received their refund. There is a thread in Custom Hardware subforum in Mining section.

725  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cex.IO Scam[RESOLVED] on: September 29, 2013, 05:17:06 AM
The site has responded and everything has been worked out. I got the 1ghs. The said the problem was that on the withdrawal page it said commission was .001 when it was actually .01 so when I tried to withdraw there was a bit of a problem

Well in that case, if you are satisfied with resolution, you should change thread title to remove word scam, as it will hurt their SEO and brand.

ALWAYS ASK FOR ESCROW!!

Which one is a trusted escrow service.

You can use Benosn ( India subforum mod ), he has handled lot of escrow here. I can surely vouch for him.

You can also use DannyHamilton, Kluge, John K

727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Security Practices with Blockchain.info? on: September 28, 2013, 07:44:04 AM
I have recently made my first BTC deposit into my blockchain.info wallet. I have printed out a paper wallet. I have also had a backup created and I have downloaded the multi-bit desktop app to use the backup with if needed.

I created a 10 digit password and another longer digit double password for transfers. Double encrypted now.

From your experience, are my BTC still vunerable? If so, what steps should I use to secure further?

Thanks in advance.

Two factor authentication is must. If you do not have Google authenticator or YubiKey, at least enable email in two factor.

Do a forum search for them, its nothing but bad news.
I just lost half of the coins in my account for no reason just now, I had put a few coins in there to try them out awhile ago. I don't see any way to contact them about it either.

PM nilam doctor on the forums or send a request through buysellbitco.in.
Whatever problem may be technical. Should be sorted out quick.

Well, BuySellBitco.in is in no way affiliated with rbitco.in
But I have personally met Nilam Doctor and done business with him.
I am sure there must be a technical issue. Please PM Nilamdoc for the same.
I will also send him PM with link to this thread.

Mate the results look bad here:-

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/bdf7e75949

IS it or Am I missing something??

How does electricity costs so less for you.?
Free.?

YUP  Grin Grin

Well its kind of offtopic, but there is not Free electricity. May be you are not paying bill for it, but other users who actually pay bills are sharing it. Electricity companies add them as distribution loss to every bill generated and as per 2010 estimation they are around 20% ( theft and illegal taping ) in total 32%.

Cheers

LOL, not like That. My company is paying for electricity, I being Director of the same my company wont mind paying even 10k for electricity per month. And Illegal taping??? Does this still exist?? Not in urban regions, I guess!!!

Aah, illegal tapping Cheesy
Its happening everywhere in urban cities too. Almost all industrial development area in all cities do that.

Rural areas, well hell lot. In fact if you see carefully in total distribution loss of 32% around 20% is because of theft, meter modification, illegal tapping.

I was talking to a reporter from The New Yorker about the 41% of unbanked individuals in India. He was interested to speak to someone who is unbanked but using Bitcoin.

Any takers?

Well I know lot of people who are unbanked, but the second part is impossible at the moment. May be after 10/20/30 years I can see myself being one Cheesy

735  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Buy from Amazon , pay in btc - Shipped across India :) on: September 21, 2013, 04:11:31 AM
Well I have tried this once personally. Never received my iPhone ( spent 45 BTC at that time on it : Grin ) Seller sent it via USPS mail which is not traceable once it reaches customs in India.

No one from customs answered my questions. People said you have to visit Mumbai customs for the same, I never got time for the same. \

So at the moment I think one of customs officer is using that iPhone  Grin

738  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Suggestion for Mining BTC on: September 19, 2013, 01:55:11 PM
I think trading btc is better idea

Well mining is not dead yet and will never. The only thing changed is entry cost is much higher now.

This is not happening first time in mining. When mining economy changed from CPU -> GPU -> FPGA it was same environment. At that time we were talking about difficulty in thousands, now its millions. The thing is its game of % hash power you have. In  previous time you had few mega hundred mega hash in thousands denominated difficulty, now you have few hundred Giga hash in millions denominated difficulty. You still stand the same chance Smiley But as I have told you the entry barrier now is much tougher.
You must take mining very seriously and should be ready to invest heavily if you want to go ahead with it. You can not take mining as side income. Its full time job/business.

And Trading, its always good and you will always find market for that. It has its own advantages/disadvantages.

From kerala. I want to know if anyone has had success with mtgox withdrawals in India.

Welcome mate Smiley

Well it works but you need lot of patience. You must wait for at least 2 months as per our last experience.
Much better if you try btc-e or bitstamp.
And in any case, you can always sell it on buysellbitco.in Smiley
