Hi Guys,

I hope all is well. I have been playing around with bitcoin for a few months now (in Bangalore). I have mainly been doing it offline with infonetenergy, benson, wilson, dashing riddler,  etc..

I am currently using a wallet called uno-wallet to hold the bulk of my coins.
I use Blockchain on my iPhone and coinbase on my iPhone for small amounts to transact with.

I purchase my bitcoins through cash with rupees in India and through Wells Fargo Bank in USD linked to my coinbase account. Cash is by far the fastest way to accumulate bitcoins and most fun.

OPINION: I don't know what it is about bitcoin that I like so much, because I see tons of flaws that scare the shit out of me. I guess the idea of walking around with a piece of paper worth a ton of money is exciting. Being able to pay a craftsman(villager) in India for his/her art through bitcoin on a global scale is pretty equalizing as well. No government controlling it is also HUGE for me. I don't believe the need for Financial Institutions will ever go away, we will just start dealing with more honest and transparent Institutions as the currency emerges from its birth pains.

Volatility, Security and Idiot Proofing the SEND, RECEIVE and STORAGE functions are important. Increasing Bitcoin Awareness interests me the most.

Thank you all for your contribution to this forum. Reading your posts has been extremely educating.

Amith

Welcome mate Smiley

i hope they get the story straight and show how the FBI framed him for those hits that never happened.

Hollywood isn't about getting the story right its about entertainment.

Sad, but true.

It'll be entertaining only if they come to BitcoinTalk for inspiration. Besides myself, Bruce, Matthew, Atlas, Dank, Finn, to name a few, come to mind. And that's before you hit any mining concerns.

Well you obviously forgot Astana and sakaru Cheesy

Cheers

707  Local / India / Re: Banks and cybercrime. on: October 16, 2013, 09:42:18 AM
Well, I will not go in much detail in cyber crime  Grin but I can give my 2 cents on bank charges for sure.

All I can say is they literally rob you and you even do not know.

I have bank account with almost all banks and almost all accounts are previlage, prefered, classic or whatever they say them. Still here and there I used to get various charges on my savings account for no reason.

HDFC bank is top on the list of bullshit. Branch manager in HDFC bank asked for favor and bagged me to give him a savings account. I said ok, I signed forms and all good. I deposited some money randomly, received payments etc in that account but never used that account much. After few months I checked that account and realized its getting AMB charges. I contacted them and they said your savings account has AMB requirement of 25k INR. Saving account an 25k INR, you morons Smiley So the news is that branch manager there to complete his targets got me 25k AMB savings account. Do you think bullshit is over ? Not yet Smiley I have visited 4 times branch and contacted at least 20 times as of now to get my account back to 5k INR AMB limit, still no luck and obviously still they are charging me for AMB violation Smiley

Do you receive International wire on HDFC ? Well, on 3 occasions they charged service tax, their fees and other charges on receiving wire after 5 months of transaction. Imagine you have issued few cheques and you are tight on your balance Smiley

SBI, they are the best bank if you do not need to visit branch. If you need to visit it by any chance well best of luck.

Axis, they have few of the best idiots hired who does not even know anything about the products and services. Before few months they charged me for withdrawing from Axis Bank ATM 20 INR per transaction and in total somewhere 140 INR. They accepted that its wrong charges and they will reverse it, but well till date no luck.

ICICI is best in terms of customer service as of now, but before 3 years I have had unauthorized transaction issue with them and the experience was painful.

Please do not ask me to write about Yes and IDBI  Grin

You want to know which bank is best in my experience as of now. HSBC. period.

@buysellbitcoin - What is the minimum bitcoin i can purchase through your site?
BTW you forgot to change your signature  Tongue

Signature changed now Smiley Thanks
Minimum you can buy is 5000 INR worth. You can always check transaction limits here :
https://buysellbitco.in/fees

Regards

So currently i can buy 0.63 minimum bitcoins  Grin
I will be getting verified shortly.

I have one more doubt.
When i click on book order & select the bank then i will be taken to a payment gateway?
Or i should be sending payment manually to your bank account? & if yes then where is your bank account details on site?
Also for manual payment i need to be adding you as a payee which takes time.
BTW i have SBI account Tongue

The bank you select in payment method is our bank where you will send us payment. When you choose payment method say Net Banking and bank "SBI Bank" it means that you will send payment to our SBI bank account using normal NEFT.
When you will click book order it will give you deposit instructions on screen and on your email. Deposit instructions contains bank account details of bank you have selected when you booked order.

Also when you will complete verification, you will receive confirmation email from us which has all the details of our AXIS, ICICI, SBI Bank accounts.

SBI Bank has 4 hour cooling period on NEFT payee edition. So basically you can add our bank details to your NEFT payee list when you get verification approved email. You can generate order after payee is active in your account.

Please feel free to get back to us in case you have any questions or concerns.

Actually i wanted to buy directly using payza   Undecided

I guess its better if i withdraw to bank & then buy from you Tongue

Anyways in you signature there is a 5% discount link. So i get 5% discount on bitcoins i buy or on the fees you charge?
Also how much time the whole process takes?

Always welcome Smiley

As far as discount signature concerns, it was old promotion. We have changed our fees structure now.
I will update my signature now.

Our services are for verified users only. We require copy of your PAN card for verification. Once your account is verified ( Normally takes less than an hour in day time ), you can place buy order. You can pay your order via NEFT, IMPS, RTGS, Cheque. We will send bitcoins to your account in normally less than 4 hours once funds hit our bank account.

Feel free to meet us on chat, call us, Open support ticket on helpdesk or simply email us on support@buysellbitco.in if you have any questions or concerns.

All you will do is, prove bitcoin can not be trusted.

Well while I do agree that SR was taking a good volume of BTC transaction, but I can not agree that it is backbone of BTC.
Bitcoin is much bigger than SR.
