It looks that way because it's empowering people and trend is looking like more and more people are taking hold of this power and not letting it go easily. The thing is Bitcoin is a realistically new concept for the mainstream folks so it's no where near where it could end up being.

Tell that to the millions of users utilizing the network now, and thousands maybe hundreds of thousands of people who already are grateful for the money they've made and saved because the important of Bitcoin's store of value.

It's true if a person dies with Bitcion and they're the only person that knows the private key, essentially that Bitcoin died with them.
