I'm not sure whether to say if that is a good thing or bad thing but logically, if less is available and demand is strong, that would certainly help to lift and push up the price. But what if more and more bitcoin getting burned when one day it might reach a stage when low numbers in circulation will probably effect it's usefulness as a currency.
Fear not for we shall simply add more decimal places!

The OP should put "SPOILERS" in the title of this thread, or perhaps not give away the entire storyline.

This is the only mention Bitcoin gets: What are we using instead? A little bit of everything. Debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, Google Wallet, PayPal, Softcard, bitcoins, and now Apple Pay—we’ve never had more payment options.
The rest of the article is about Apple pay.

In particular, why does this forum allow people to edit posts from weeks ago without any kind of note? Even after it has been read and discussed many times.
If you mouse-over the post's timestamp, it will tell you the time and date of the last edit (if there was one). I'm also not sure why you find this so objectionable, but I suggest you get into the habit of quoting people in your posts.

Why did you edit your original (most eloquent) post "nah, fuck reddit", only to replace it with this one which lacks a certain je ne sais quoi?It was so well argued after all! (Sorry I have nothing original to add to the thread so am reduced to poking fun at newbies (again)).

Reading the above thread, I couldn't help feeling I'd somehow found my way to the David Icke forums. I especially liked this post: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=9450.msg122771#msg122771Comedy gold.... I'm sure this deletion was a mistake by a mod cleaning up 2014 posts in the same thread and shall soon be rectified. Let's wait and see.

Hi I have a small amount of Btc 0.015 ,I want to lend it to someone who need it with interest but as their are many scammer on bitcointalk I'm afraid .What to do?
Make sure to take collateral equalling at least the value of the loan and you should be safe. Use an escrow to hold the collateral or you'll end up being accused of scamming. Have a look in the lending section and get an idea of how things are done.

bitcointalk.org is a great place to earn bitcoins just for posting. You must however make sure your posts are on-topic and long enough to not be considered as spam. Sadly this practice does appear to degrade the quality of the forum overall with people posting boring gibberish, mainly in the off-topic sub-forum, just to complete their posting quota.

You can advertise your website in the appropriate forum section. There is no need to sign up for a new forum account, pretend you just "discovered" the website, and then share it here in Off Topic.
....but thanks for showing us your true character.

That's about $200, you should share your computer skills and someone might give you a job but it's still a lot of money. You're in england, I think UK has the unemployment benefits, you should apply for that.
Not only do they have unemployment benefits, they have disability benefits as well as benefits to pay the rent. The OP should sell his computer, but he won't because he's not in need at all.

If I remember correctly, it was McDonald’s who first created the system where a person was used for one very simple task, and they would repeat this all day. In this way, their staff became easily replaceable and can therefore be paid a pittance.
Said another way, McDonald's figured out how to create a very simple to learn and do job, and created tons of new jobs that people without skills were finally able to get. Is there any evidence to suggest these people were unemployable before McDonald's came up with this plan, like you seem to be suggesting, or that they'd be incapable of learning several roles within the "restaurant"? And what evidence is there that this work-plan created more jobs than would have been available with people doing various roles? Also is there something wrong with training people without skills and then giving them a decent wage? I'm sure most people could manage a few simple roles rather than just one (with a little more training, which has to be given in both scenarios anyway). So, same amount of training and the same number of jobs. Only difference is that in one scenario the staff are highly expendable.
