181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can use Bitcoin to pay for your hotel in Vegas on: August 11, 2014, 03:57:01 PM

I am waiting for when someone says in her area BTC has received for hospital or educational.

They already did: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cumbria-25824968

I thought there was one in the US too? I may be mistaken but I'll look for a link.

Lucy masturbated watermelon lasciviously, then fondled Catfish; verboten Abecedarian fellating the Lackawanna - siphoning Agamotto's occasional hookah, discounting it was exsiccated thru a maniac bedlamite on roughage, postevent kayaked equanimously Pithy River (woolgathering it is Laurentian's vestibule where the penny-farthings cycle), howlin' at Qo'noS' house, synchronously, quizzically tickling Gleb the infirm upon slipshodding ice cream that vanguards against cuddly-wuddly bunny-urchins.

Thanks, hilariousandco. It's nice to have a little sane backup now and again. I wish you could read my PM's.

Ha, I can imagine, though I do have a little bit of sympathy for some of them if they genuinely didn't know.

i get your point,stingleword !
But why they do not understand that simple point ??
i really don't understand them  Angry

50 post per month equal 2 post per day

That simple point is easy to understand !

if you do 50 posts at small time frame
( example : 50 post at 3 days mean 16 post per day )
That luckybit will disqualify you  Tongue

The information is clearly set out in the original post for anyone to read. I have no sympathy for anyone who can't be bothered to.

I'll be afk for 10 days this month so PM'd stingleword to let him know. He seems flexible when given the chance and had no problem with my break.

I find if you treat others with respect, they generally respond in kind. The opposite is also true...

187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS BITCOIN A CIA PROJECT? on: August 10, 2014, 06:46:16 AM
There was actually another news article posted about this recently...

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/bitcoin-suspected-nsa-cia-project-080715070.html#vcgTvqc

In there it states that Nakamoto translates to "Central Intelligence" in Japanese...

People are able to come up with conspiracies about anything...

This is the same badly written piece of junk discussed in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731321.0;all

The CIA Project, referred to as a group, is actually one man who likes to pretend he has followers. See the member count at the bottom of this page:

http://www.ciaproject.org/forum/

He has been busy with similar deceit on this forum lately under the username "adoni" and several others.

As for the "journalist" of the above article, I can't decide if he's really that bad at his job, or if he's been paid to spout this garbage. Whichever, he should be ashamed, and probably fired.

You don't have to pay much, but he could just sign up with a new proxy address each time. Whatever his game is it doesn't look like banning him is going to stop him anytime soon, but hopefully hell get bored eventually.

He'd have a hard time finding any proxies that aren't evil.

Yes maybe he will, but I think mods should ban and remove all his FUD threads each time. That should expedite the situation. From what I can tell most of his FUD threads are still there.

AFAIK, it's using specific IP addresses to prevent users. Blocking an IP range, especially in a residential sense, wouldn't be helpful imho, too much room for error, maybe blocking IP ranges of datacentres.

It doesn't block anything. It adds evil "points" to the IP and a smaller amount of evil "points" to every IP in the same range. The more evil your IP has when creating an account the more BTC you have to pay to sign up. Known proxies and Tor already have the max amount of evil too.

Not really. As I write this, I am on a free proxy - one of the thousands available for anyone.
Sometimes I switch IPs/countries between posts if the thread takes too long to load.
Spammers obviously have more practice at evading detection, so I have no doubt that Sol Adoni has a significantly larger pool of proxies to operate from.

It's only relevant when you create the account with the evil IP. I use a popular vpn but never have a problem posting.
189  Economy / Lending / Re: Raising a loan of 2 BTC on: August 10, 2014, 06:24:43 AM
I Need 10 USD skrill, i will give .03 BTC

You would do better to make a new thread with your offer.
190  Economy / Lending / Re: Raising a loan of 2 BTC on: August 09, 2014, 09:35:41 AM
I've confirmed that the OP does control the localbitcoin account stated above.
191  Economy / Lending / Re: Raising a loan of 2 BTC on: August 09, 2014, 09:13:13 AM
You can't have it both ways. Either your borrower has defaulted on the loan and you now own his coins, or he has more time in which case he still owns them.

You can't have his coins and get repaid.

Sorry but you sound very untrustworthy.

Well he has defaulted on the loan, the date has already passed.
I'm still giving him the offer to get back the coins by paying me back, and for being be this linent, this is the least I can get.

I fail to understand what part of that makes me sound not trustworthy :/

Then I guess we have differing opinions on what constitutes honourable business practices. Who knows though, you might find a lender who thinks like you.

Do you have a link to discussions of this loan?
192  Economy / Lending / Re: Raising a loan of 2 BTC on: August 09, 2014, 08:49:02 AM
yes that is correct, I am passing on his collateral, but well he left me with no chocie, technically this collateral is mine anway now, but I'm still extending his payment date.

First there was Satoshi accross the glistening lake.

Then in came Karpeles the trickster his stories were fake.

BitcoinExpress his hashing power was blessed.

Spoetnik the fool most definately a tool.

Theymos wrote soon after Sirus became a ghost.

But threw the mist came the one that was spoken of, threw whisperes accross all the lands. This one was not the hero that was deserved but the one that was needed. The CryptoKnight Cryptopaths stormed threw the glass and brought peace to the forums at last.

A bit contradictory, no? Or do you honestly believe you can bring peace by insulting other members?

@stingleword

Well we can truly see which campaign owners have low funds! The posts were completed with an acceptable quality. No other rules were stated.

Im supposed to want to enroll again?

No rules need be stated. The contract is with the original owner. No one owes you anything.

op can you show the main of this topic ?
i dont understand.

He created 2 topics with almost the same title, but one was a statement and the other a question. It was meant to show which type of title draws the most attention.

Lucy ate peanuts diligently, the lambent öyster; verboten pornstar fellating the Lackawanna - siphoning Agamotto's occasional hookah, discounting it was exsiccated thru a maniac bedlamite on roughage who rode up Pithy River (for it is Laurentian's vestibule where the penny-farthings cycle), howlin' at Qo'noS' moon, synchronously, quizzically agitating Gleb the Teletubbie upon the fire that vanguards against musket-bearing bunnywabbits.

It wasn't a good experiment, since someone, after reading the first thread, would be more likely to bypass the second.

You would have to be more inventive with your thread titles, though this of course could also affect the results.

p.s. your thread did get attention, just not the type you were looking for Cheesy
