241  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [BUYING] BITCOIN/USDT CRYPTO FOR INR PAYMENTS on: February 12, 2023, 06:44:04 AM
In Kucoin You can Contact me @Mahadev I am a P2P Merchant in Kucoin also.
You should also specify the minimum and maximum amounts you are dealing with in the OP, to be more clear.
Also, I'd say you should also be a merchant on bybit and binance, since there are more traders in these exchanges.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 12, 2023, 03:20:44 AM
What would you consider congested? I'm guessing if its purging transactions >300mb - its congested. Is that a good indicator?
Check mempool.space, it is purging transactions <1.78 sat/vB currently. So atleast pay a fee above the given rate. Also, checkout the total no. of unconfirmed tx chart in the mempool here: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/charts/mempool-count
This gives you an idea on how much pending transactions are on the line and how fast they are increasing. They have been increasing since 9th feb quite rapidly, suggesting a network congestion.

Which wallet would you suggest?
Bluewallet, mycelium, electrum all are good. Bluewallet (mobile wallet) always gives me the best rates as per my expirience. But a hardware wallet is also good, just check the mempool before you make a transfer and you should be fine.
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 12, 2023, 02:40:23 AM
I have a feeling 1sat /vb might be a thing of the past. Correct me if Im wrong.
Its not true. This is one of the segwit transactions[1] made by me just a few days ago and I paid 1.02 sat/vB as miner fee. It got confirmed the same day I sent it (infact within few hrs). It just depends on how congested the mempool is.

I just don't want to have the transaction somehow disappear or be in limbo indefinitely
Use a good self-custodial wallet to make future transactions which gives you a calculated fee by itself and you can choose the lowest one if your tx is not of high priority and you dont want it to get dropped from mempool as well.
244  Economy / Gambling / Re: Line error? Stake.com Sportsbook on: February 11, 2023, 11:42:43 AM
I have never faced any such issue with stake.com. However, the response you received from the support team is not good; at least they must look into the matter more thoroughly. Therefore, I suggest you contact the support team again and communicate more precisely. I hope they will provide you with a better solution.

OP is a scammer. Look at his trust feedback score. He took a loan from me in the name of getting bonus from stake (after wagering), but never paid back.
I hope he looses it all and the support blocks his account because you know "karma never leaves anyone". Don't try to help a scammer please!
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 11, 2023, 04:40:31 AM
Bitcoin Core's default is 14days (336hours), but not all nodes enforce the same settings so it may stay longer than that.
Its a long time ago, but I had such issue with my mycelium wallet and the transaction got returned a lot earlier.

In a nutshell is Child pays for parent basically resending that unconfirmed transaction to myself again with higher fees?
Yes, you will basically use the same output of the unconfirmed tx and send it to your own another address which you control.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 11, 2023, 04:09:01 AM
I set it to 1sat    Tongue
I tried viabtc accelerator earlier but it said my fee was too low.
Ah, I see.

I dont think I can go the RBF route because I'm the receiver.
Who is the sender here who set such low fee ?

I'm using a ledger wallet so I think there's a way to cpfp through electrum.
I dont totally understand cpfp but im reading a lot.
Its not that difficult. To create a CPFP transaction right click on the unconfirmed transaction on the history tab and choose “Child pays for parent”. Set an appropriate fee and click on “OK”. A window will popup with the unsigned transaction. Click on “Sign” and then “Broadcast”.
More here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-do-a-manual-child-pays-for-parent-transaction/

Thanks! How bad of an idea is it to wait a week or two while I slowly learn cpfp?
I think the transaction will be forgotten and returned back to the sender within 4-5 days if nothing is done Smiley
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 11, 2023, 02:57:27 AM
How much fee (in sat/vB) did you give for the transaction ?
You can paste the transaction id here so someone can help you accelerate it, or you can accelerate it yourself for free through viabtc accelerator[1]. But you have to be fast since it gives you a chance to accelerate only once in an hour(UTC time) imo. Only 100 free transactions are accelerated by them in one hour. But if you are successfull in submitting, your tx will get confirmed by viabtc 100%.

248  Economy / Reputation / Re: [FUN][In Merit] Post Count Down To Your Next Rank Here. on: February 10, 2023, 03:39:58 PM
I support the additional proposed rules. otherwise, this thread can become a place to beg for Merit.
This is and will always remain a merit begging thread even after the proposed plans are put into account. It doesnt matter whether you ask for 1 merit or 25 or it comes from a newbie or a legendary, begging is begging Smiley .But it should help reduce some spam anyway.

BTW, has anyone contacted the OP yet?
I just sent him a DM regarding the proposal. Maybe he will reply when he comes back online.
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin go back to 19000 on: February 10, 2023, 01:33:44 PM
{snip}
as soon bitcoins will touch 21k usd, people will buy more and more and hence the price will push up again.
Do you have any valid reasons to prove your point? Why is 21k a support according to you? Because on my chart, I dont see anything right there. Since it pumped from 17k to 24k in a straight line, it has the ability to dump back in a straight line as well, as we dont have much accumulated traded volume and haults in between (in the daily candles). Wouldnt be surprised to see 17k again. Although between 19.8k-20k will be a pyscological level to buy.
P.S.: Also, on Feb 14th is our next CPI data release, lets see the outcome!
250  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Citybuildtrade.com Review Scam Or Legit on: February 10, 2023, 07:32:37 AM
One may work on a Ponzi scheme or promote one or more Ponzi but later the person can be realized that the person should not do that and changed his/her mind about the Ponzi scheme.
They promote ponzi scheme in the first place for the sake of their own greed. But later when they know they cannot earn anymore, they try to act as if they are very innocent.

I have seen several forum members who were promoted Ponzi but later become reputed for detecting scam.
I dont know of such ppl, especially who promoted a ponzi when they were a newbie and gained back reputation later while growing up their account!

, op may try to do the same and if really that can then that will not be bad.
I dont think he is going to change based on his behaviour. Looks like he will just build another account and try with some other scam. He got nothing to loose, unfortunately Sad
251  Economy / Reputation / Re: Isn't that cheating? on: February 10, 2023, 03:26:35 AM
But what blows my mind is that these tokens have any value at all on exchanges. I haven't checked the trading volume though.

Just checked out the token on poocoin (got this from their own telegram group), price is around 2.5$ per token and buying with 10,000 usdt (just entered the amount for checking purpose) gives a ~5% price impact on the token. So, I guess the liquidity is not that bad enough for such a coin. You can check yourself on pancakeswap as well. Buying and selling amount by traders is also ok mostly above 1000$.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will lead the world currency market?? on: February 09, 2023, 04:14:04 PM
Do you think bitcoin will be the leader of the world’s currency market like US dollar in the future?Huh
Although I think BTC is primed to beat gold in the near future and become one of the top accepted digital currency globally, but it still cant replace the USD to lead the world markets.
Actually, the us dollar moves the entire markets such as gold, btc, stocks, etc. and governments wont let anything replace that. Market pumps and recession everything happens based on the USD.
253  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins closing down on: February 09, 2023, 02:40:18 PM
Something new will replace it but it is a loss to the btc community localbitcoins has been the website everyone uses for p2p trades because of its simple process.
Binance has already replaced everything, from p2p to margin trading to spot trading alts/btc/usdt.
Also, I dont think many ppl were using localbitcoins recently, I heard they got high exchange rates and not very suitable and user friendly for recent users. Hence, they got forgotton because they couldnt catch up with the ppl's changing habits/behaviour. They should have built a better app like binance/bybit to catch more attention of newer generation, but they just got stuck with the old boring theme.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extremely Holding on: February 09, 2023, 07:43:27 AM
For how long? It's hard to say. I think until $100K or so. I'll 5x my current investing, and that could be a good time to withdraw. When it drops below I'll buy it again.
It doesnt matter for bitcoin to just 5x "your" portfolio then drop again. If it goes to 100k, it'll probably go to 500k too (to beat the old gold). I would suggest instead of having such mindset, just have a fundamental knowledge of the upcoming events and go step by step. You can just trade it once in a month (when you are sure about an event's circumstances), increase your stack and buckle up again instead of waiting for 100k by doing nothing!
255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your head up. on: February 09, 2023, 06:09:11 AM
Basically, the ones that come out of crises best are the ones that stay strong at the lowest point.
Your statement reminds me of a quote by Robert Kiyosaki: "History reminds us that dictators and despots arise during times of sever economic crisis"

We all have seen the tough times and probably all of the posters who are active here are real survivors imo. Its just about time!
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 09, 2023, 03:52:11 AM
And currently investors are also investing heavily in Bitcoin.
This doesnt mean anything! Investors and institutions are also DCAing since the top from last year. Many got liquidated while most are holding on to their losses.

And experts are saying that the market could change a lot later this year and early 2024.
The fed is arrogant about bringing inflation down to 2%. So until then we could see a choppy year ahead. But I do expect a rally afterwards, probably during mid 2024 to new ATHs. Although the FED is slowing down, remember that its still in the tightening phase and not much new money is being printed.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 09, 2023, 03:34:03 AM
Sometimes you just need to let the youth enjoy their childhood, then educate them when they're ready.
You're right here. Alternatively, we can keep educating them slowly as they grow up about how the blockchain works, such as use of miners, about block confirmations, fees used, etc. instead of putting the price and investment pressure in their heads. The more they learn it technically, the more advanced and skilled they become when they are ready. Also the mind is very sharp to catch things during childhood rather than in adulthood!
258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you could use only 1 Tool/Indicator for the rest of your life? which one? on: February 08, 2023, 03:53:53 PM
If it is for Bitcoin, the only one tool I would like to use for rest of my life is DCA Dollar Cost Averaging.
This strategy wont always work especially as bitcoin gets older and price action gets slower.

My best indicator (top tool) would be ichimoku with the following settings (which Im currently using as well):
Conversion line period: 20
Base line period: 60
Lagging span 2 periods: 120
Displacement: 30

Using the above settings since a few years already as a part of my trade entry/exit strategy. I have a hodl part aside too. Works well on all timeframes. You gotta google or search on youtube about how well ichimoku works with btc.
259  Economy / Reputation / Re: First Bitcoin earning (Signature) on: February 08, 2023, 01:55:31 PM
@Royse777 never complained about it 😏, but within myself, I know I need to work a little more on these.
From your recent post history (in local board), I came to know that you are from Nigeria. Its very interesting to have a well english spoken guy from a third world country. Keep it up brother and I think you are not bad considering your rank. You got enough knowledge already to help others in the forum. Just need a bit of activity in the technical boards Wink
260  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked & banned (Hacked?) on: February 08, 2023, 01:43:58 PM
It's combined with uppercase and special character but i suppose it's not long enough or my pc just get malware again
No random guy can just guess your password easily even if its not that strong. Its someone watching or spying on you. Just clean your PC and reset everything before making new accounts anywhere again.
I also suggest you to DM theymos amd Cyrus frequently to catch their attention for your case, so you can get back access to your account one day, hopefully faster. Good luck mate!
