1. I just want to know if they are already getting reward in the form of bitcoin they why there is additional fee we have to pay for every transaction? More transactions => larger data size => more workload. Imo, when the network is congested and over-loaded, miners have to work extra hard to include each of those transactions in the block and for that we need to pay more fees to help them cover the cost. Fees are not necessary for the processing of the transaction on Bloakchcain Do you know that after bitcoin reaches 21million circulating supply, miners can only earn from the transaction fees we pay to them? Fees gives a good incentive for them to work for us and keep the network stable.

Now this is supposed to impact bitcoin in a positive way. I never saw inflation affecting bitcoin in a positive way since 2022. I think believing on btc as a hedge against inflation is only good in theory but practically it wont happen. We only started rising from this year because the fed slowly got their interest rates downwards. If they again start more stronger tightening, do you really think btc will go against spx?

What's wrong with UK justice system? Not to blame just the UK, but the whole world's governments find it hard to understand about bitcoin and its tech (except a few ones). That is why you see those really weird laws with crypto in most of the countries. All they need is a crypto education which isn't taught in their normal 7-8 hr school times lol.

I am assuming that the receiving address does not belong to you, so this is not an option unless you can convince the receiving party to do so. You're right, the receiving address doesn't belong to me and the receiving party is not a person but an exchange. So, I guess CPFP isnt possible here. Why did you not opt in to RBF? I performed the transaction using mycelium mobile wallet which unfortunately doesn't support RBF.
Meanwhile, the tx is still unconfirmed after 3days, I think theres no way around now.

So this event a few hours from now I think 4 hours from now it is possible that Bitcoin's value will pump 35k$ or more and suddenly dump up to 25k$ if its minor lower high is not broken. That was just too much volatility you were expecting for.
Today's unemployment data and nonfarm payrolls followed by CPI and PPI data in the upcoming days will decided the next fate of Powell and the FED. And seeing the banks taking another dump in the last few days, I think the data will be good for bitcoin overall. More Greener days, hopefully

Update: Just in, The FED increases interest rates again by 25bps for this month. Powell's speech: Neutral. You can't trust anymore of this man's words anyways. From 75bps to 50 to 25. Atleast we are slowing down with time.
Market reaction: Sideways till now.

Got it, so its all about ordinals making this happen. Although, I do like the lightening network, but I think not many services support it yet? I have one of my tx stuck from a few days. I paid 5.98sat/vB in fee thinking the fee rate would come down soon, my bad. Tx: https://mempool.space/tx/428784a3370461b0504a2cae425c297cd5194fcf96501f2375b1b1cd9d810334 So most likely I will have to wait 14days for this to get dropped and get back to my wallet.
Will this ordinals thing have any impact on Bitcoin's price as well? Thoughts?

Think tomorrow the Fed will signal they will stop raising interest rates after this meeting With just a few hours remaining for the FED to announce its next interest rate decision, its gonna be very interesting to watch the whole market react. However, I do think they will raise rates by 25bps today; should be already priced in by the market. So, a dump followed by a larger pump?

Since the past few days (probably a week), Im observing that the bitcoin transaction fee (for a tx to get confirmed and included in the next block) has increased to an unreasonable level and is not ready to come down. My tx used to get confirmed at 1sat/vB in the past months. I was just curious to know as to what has caused this sudden congestion in the mempool? I cant find a reason.

This morning I received a significant amount of BTC. How much was it ? I am using Electrum as a wallet and have used it for over a year without issues. Electrum still doesn't have any issue and is perfectly fine. 7 minutes later, all my funds have been transferred to another address that I do not recognize.
Really ? I think this one is a special case. You got 7minutes to transfer those "insignificant" amount of received btc to your own another safer wallet. I think you should have set up some notification for incoming tx. Any technical glitch or my money is really gone forever? Just insert your BTC address in any online explorer and if you dont see any balance there it means your funds are really gone and you got hacked, unfortunately

1 slot is still open
It's hard to tell by eyeballing the spreadsheet, the open slot is for which rank exactly? "legendary" maybe.. Its written in the spreadsheet: "any rank", which means any rank starting from full member to legendary.

because the graph shows nothing big interesting . The catch is to get in before the graph gets interesting. We're only ~2.5x away from a new ATH "Sell in May and go away", did you hear about it? I maybe wrong, but I don't believe this will be the case this time. It could be like "Come in may and blow away"
I guess the price could somewhat close between 38k-40k (a 10k$ pump from here in 30days is pretty sensible I hope).

~snip~ you cannot download Bitcoin-core in UK, You can download bitcoin core even in the UK, but just not from bitcoin.org . You got other sources like the github and bitcoincore.org. And btw, if you got a VPN access, you can bypass the restriction and download it directly through bitcoin.org Track developers of open source code or block access to it. Governments can block centralized exchanges or sites to prevent users from visiting it, but AFAIK they can't block the blockchain or the open-source code in any way. Everyone has access to it.

Ok, so I didn't know deleting posts lowers the activity. I dislike my merit/activity ratio, should I delete posts or is it something that is frowned upon?
Just to add here for you, Deleting a few posts wouldn't lower your activity points. Activity points are earned in every two weeks period ( i.e. every 14 days, starting from Tuesday). You'll have to delete your entire posting history in two weeks period to loose just 14 activity points. If you made 100 posts in 2weeks, deleting them all will not loose you 100 activity points but only 14.
