481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Death Cross on Weekly for First Time in History on: December 28, 2022, 05:33:14 AM
Because of which almost all people were investing in Lula Coin,~
Haha, nice one "lula coin" 😆

And in this case Luna has done the most damage
It was double damage for btc: "luna from one side and spx(america) from the other side", although when ftx collapsed, american markets were holding well, otherwise btc would've stopped at 10-12k

Without getting into technical analysis, I have been following the Bitcoin price for a few years now,
Fundamentals are very good pumpamentals. 😁
482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how to create Bitcoin Rpc Username and Rpc Password on: December 28, 2022, 04:59:28 AM
Is everything ok?
Its enough for doing rpc calls within your localhost. Additionally, for getting query from external ip you can use "0.0.0.0" in rpcallowip field. Dont use any other ip as everything else maybe insecure.

The other thing is do I have to run bitcoind from the command line.
Yes, bitcoind daemon is controlled through commandline.
483  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I am a bit confused about this... on: December 27, 2022, 07:44:56 AM
Isn't paying to bech32 addresses slightly cheaper than paying to legacy addresses?
Yes, just wanted to add its around ~16% cheaper fees for native segwit transactions. But only valid if transferring from native segwit to legacy/segwit, not from legacy to segwit as nc50lc already said.

484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day/Swing Trading - Trainer or Tutor or other suggesting on: December 27, 2022, 06:45:23 AM
the other thing i was thinking of is if there is a group that foucs maninly on making small trades or what ever amounts to just get practile experince, where its about gaining practicle experince
On youtube and telegram you'll get a bunch of ppl sharing their expiriences practically, but remember that the serious and big players dont chat often and are not interested in sharing practical knowledge everytime (since they are too busy with themselves all the time), and beware of some ppl asking money for giving knowledge, most turn out to be scammers.

my main issue was how to gain practical experince
There is a well-known saying: "Nature is the best teacher". Here, market will teach you itself. Trade with 1$-5$ and slowly you will know everything by yourself, and learn to observe carefully before taking any major actions, if you learn this skill you will be on top soon. Remember, "Observation makes you a master!"
485  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hey, Changpeng Zhao - you are an accomplice of FTX scam! on: December 27, 2022, 03:11:51 AM
That Binance account is not handled by CZ himself.
But he quoted the tweet made by binance about bitcointalk.
Although I doubt he'd ever come across this subforum, let alone create an account and post here since he's likely too busy with other tasks.
Duh, I dont think so, although I agree he doesnt make posts in the forum but for sure he has an account. This forum got satoshi's last traces and all the memories related to him. Cz must have come to read all the satoshi's post here atleast if not ours, lol.

Somebody post this to the Zhao's twitter
He doesnt care about you, sorry mate Sad and neither do anyone else.
Centralized exchanges need to be boycotted, as do their CEOs, who all negatively effect the industry for profit in my opinion.
This will kill all the volatility from the market if all the cex suddenly go off. BTC will be the new stablecoin 😁, no manipulations, nothing.
486  Other / Meta / Re: Avatar for another membership? on: December 27, 2022, 02:57:35 AM
Or just increase the price of the Copper membership to like, 50 bucks to include the avatar, rather than having two separate ones?
Then they'll request a hero member signature space feature for newbies for a cooper membership, promote a scam (which most newbies do), for a few bucks? I dont think its a great idea. There will be not much difference between a newbie and other high ranked members then. Let things be as they are now!
487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: December 25, 2022, 04:33:45 PM
There is no sign that the market will get better in the coming days.
There is a well-known saying "there were neither signs nor show, when the bull begun his run".
Just ask anyone in involved crypto or stocks right now, almost all of them are bearish and thinking of a recession. Ppl have sold everything and the volatility is at all time low already (comparing the last few years since 2018). Wont be surprised to see 30k soon in early 2023 😘

Sentiments change overnight in this space!
488  Economy / Reputation / Re: Please save me. I can't anymore. on: December 25, 2022, 03:14:59 PM
I am opening a new ID for you.
For whom? Lol.
I do the bounty and now if I beat Red Trust I can't participate in any bounty.
You do the bounty (manage) or participate in it ? Learn to write properly please.
Why are you taking away our happiness?  All previous IDs are beating Red trust. So I am opening the ID one by one.
So you agree that you are a cheater ? You dont deserve to stay happy with that attitude, sorry mate. Go get a real life job! And learn little bit of english first 😁
489  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hey, Changpeng Zhao - you are an accomplice of FTX scam! on: December 25, 2022, 01:03:53 PM
Just ~10 days ago they announced some BUSD trading par removals, so it wouldn't be out of ordinary to delist FTT/BUSD as well (which should have be done of course).
Oh, you're right, they did delist some coins. Not sure what are they upto.

Quote
Since Binance probably still has big portion of those 23 million FTT, no surprise that they kept it on their exchange, I didn't expect anything else from them.
Could be, they held luna as well hence its still trading as LUNC/BUSD.

Does CZ_binance has a bitcointalk account?
He probably has one. Assuming by his recent retweet about satoshi's activity on the forum, he is aware about bitcointalk.
490  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hey, Changpeng Zhao - you are an accomplice of FTX scam! on: December 25, 2022, 08:03:00 AM
How is this possible?

Scamish FTX has been closed. But token still alive

HOW?

This is cheating users. The token still exists while the exchange turned into scam.

CZ is violates the rules of exchanges trading. Scamish token of scamish exchange still not delisted. Token emission is impossible now due to FTX bankrupcy. That's why all the volumes are drawn
Binance usually doesnt delist tokens in BUSD pairs. Maybe they are trying the "decentralized free market  trading" propaganda here while delisting the coins/tokens in all other pairs. Even Luna and SRM didnt get delisted against BUSD. Btw, its all upto us, if you hate it dont use it, simple.

Oops, I see your scam BSV is not trading on binance anymore against any pair, cant get more upsetting lol.
491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I’m a Bitcoin OG and very confused how Defi works exactly? on: December 25, 2022, 06:13:01 AM
What is more secure in your opinion? A centralized CEX like Binance or the DEX Dydx platform? The platform at anytime can get hacked due to some exploit, chances are of Binance getting hacked very slim.
Essentially, binance is more user friendly for me, but if you got problems with giving out your kyc, you might have to use a dex (although dexes still collect your ip addresses). For normal users like me who are not so rich enough, we dont mind giving out a little privacy to the exchanges unless we are not doing something wrong. I guess you should be fine with binance (if you are like me xD). And anyway, I believe if binance goes bankrupt, btc's value will crash near 3k-1k and alts maybe go towards zero lol.

However, for long term holding, just buy from any exchange and withdraw immediately to your personal wallet where you hold the keys.
492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Death Cross on Weekly for First Time in History on: December 25, 2022, 03:15:27 AM
A death cross is usually a very bad sign, but it can occasionally be a false alarm.
Death cross many times marks the bottom for the prices, I've witnessed it quite a lot of times on 4h candles. This is weekly chart so cant say but yeah the bots will try to counter.

Also, we have a bullish divergence on weekly if you observe carefully, and it suggests a massive pump. Imo, divergences carry more importance (since they signal exhaustion) than ma crosses (a lagging indicator).
493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I’m a Bitcoin OG and very confused how Defi works exactly? on: December 24, 2022, 07:45:41 AM
However say I am using dydx to day trade their future derivatives and I have an active trade and there is some hack on dydx. Will my funds be at stake or not
In order to guarantee self custody of the funds, at any point in time, a user may opt to perform a forced request. Forced requests are initiated by a Layer 1 transaction, to avoid censorship. In case that the request is not served within a limited time frame, the user is able to freeze the StarkEx contract (and thus the exchange) and withdraw directly from the frozen contract. There are two forced actions: forcedWithdrawal and forcedTrade .
Reference: https://dydx.exchange/faq

However, I still recommend not using too much funds for trading on both cexes and dexes. We never know.
494  Other / Meta / Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023 to the forum on: December 24, 2022, 04:49:15 AM
Merry Christmas to All.
Merry Xmas!
Probably another roller coster ride for the whole cryptomarket and bitcointalk forum.
Indeed. Along with the stocks markets as well this time.
this isnt a permanent scenario
However, ppl involved in luna and ftx got permanent damage and Im sure some might have even committed suicide Sad
Just keep doing dca to your favorite potential alts.
I wouldnt recommend this strategy, dcaing doesnt help if you are buying since a whole year from the top, understand the conditions then bet a good chunk at a fair price then sell it all when it gets euphoric again.
And I'd just stay away from alts, focus only on BTC and trade it based on american sentiments. Thats how it is moved nowadays unfortunately Sad
495  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Anyone have wallet.dat of 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF (79,957 BTC)? on: December 24, 2022, 02:53:30 AM
The wallet.dat files of these bitcoin addresses are in high demand (even if they are a scam or virus, buyers on the darknet are willing to pay many bitcoins for the files and anyone who can find the link to the files)
Asking to get rekt? Are buyers on the darknet that dumb? Let me create one empty wallet.dat file amd send it to you 😁..

I hope, that you will send me at least one bitcoin as a fee for search Wink
Paste your btc address mate, if op pays you, I will send him hundreds of wallet.dat files for any addresses he wants 😂😉
496  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Anyone have wallet.dat of 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF (79,957 BTC)? on: December 23, 2022, 04:20:23 PM
Anyone have wallet.dat file of the bitcoin address 1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF with 79,957 bitcoins? Please send the link to buy the wallet.dat file.
Lol, why are you interested in buying the wallet.dat of someone else's wallet ? Why would they give it to you? And even if the file is hacked by someone, they would try to bruteforce and get those coins for themselves and not sell it to you for few bucks. Whats your incentive here? Instead, Im sure if someone provides you a wallet.dat file here, its going to be a new malware straight into your PC, be warned!
497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Privacy wallets on: December 23, 2022, 04:12:06 PM
Does this mean that you cannot check the balance of an address with Bitcoin Core
Someone has written a program in Python3 that allows you to search for any address on bitcoin core whether it belongs to your wallet or not. (I've not tested it personally so try on your own risk)

Here is the github link:

https://github.com/ORP967/Bitcoin_Core_RPC_par_address

Its a bit old but let me know if it still works.

Is there a topic with a detailed overview?
Sparrow wallet is amongst the top bitcoin wallets supporting taproot addresses.
I dont find an official ANN thread on it but dkbit himself opened an unofficial thread if you search for it.
Here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274675
498  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum desktop wallet question. on: December 23, 2022, 03:38:42 PM
Thank you everyone for the replies. I actively use a HWW. I was just wondering if electrum was a better idea than a mobile hot wallet (i.e greenwallet) for small amounts.
Both are the same. Actually, it depends on you, if you have an infected pc, electrum wont help you and vice versa, same for mobile wallet.
Remember, "The weakest link in any chain of security is not the security itself, but the person operating it".

Btw, Im using mobile hot wallet for years and I never had any problems, coz I know if I dont do anything wrong (clicking random links, downloading untrusted apps, etc), I wont face any brutal consequences.
499  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: December 23, 2022, 08:51:05 AM
Elon Musk did not tweeted that bitcoin will increase by the end of winter, the statement 'bitcoin will make it, but might be a long winter' means the bear market could be long.

You should not believe in people, I will advice you to believe in yourself if you can do appropriate reserach on bitcoin. People are expecting 2023 to be for bulls and bears as the price will increase and decrease, while 2024 for more significant bull period.

If I invest on bitcoin, it is not because Elon Musk say anything, it is because I did my own research and still believe that the 4 year cycle will still repeat itself ones more.
Correct, also people will soon understand that no elon controls the big picture, and btc is known to surprise everyone out of nowhere. Theres likely a possibility we can even go mega bull mode starting 2023 (given the massive bull div on weekly candles). However, just stay safu during periods of fomc meetings and cpi dates, otherwise it will always be smooth to trade. Elon's words mean nothing to me Smiley
