481  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-07] Bitcoin plunges sharply and suddenly on: March 07, 2017, 05:33:53 PM
The PBOC will not stop, until Bitcoin has been sufficiently stalled in China. You will soon see a government coin or a Blockchain based technology

being issued by the Chinese government..... and they have to push down Bitcoin to pave the way for their own GovCoin. They are currently hiding

this reason behind supposed "customer protection" regulations.... but the true reasons are much more sinister.  Angry

Isn't that what all the talk surrounding BU coin is about?
This is certainly a confusing time to be in bitcoin for the next few days to come.
482  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] 1.5BTC for PayPal. Only extremely trusted members on: March 07, 2017, 03:00:56 AM

483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something Odd Is Happening at Bitcoin’s Largest Mining Pool Read more: http://w on: March 06, 2017, 10:25:13 PM
This is the reason for all the slow down lately?
It is causing unnessary delays in the blockchain from sending and just sending more business for already saturated websites like ViaBtc which I am assuming is the only of it's kind running to accommodate all those requests to speed up their sends.

Can do this if he accepts me into doing it. Grin

Starting to get into how the exchange biz works and into the swing of things with alt coin trading.
Just downloaded Exodus so concentrating on these coins the wallet can auto exchange with so can send them out right away from there. Wink

Was going to start looking at a job offering for a similar service that is just starting up but then saw your listing for 3 members. So hopefully I am one of them! Smiley
486  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex - Convert Bitcoin to cash and hold online? on: March 04, 2017, 07:40:28 PM
You can trade your BTC to USDT, and hold it, it's basically the same as trading to usd.
Yes that's right. USDT.
It is called Tether and you can do it this way in what you are asking if it is possible to do.
487  Economy / Services / Re: Chain of Points Signature Campaign on: March 04, 2017, 04:13:10 PM
Being pulled a week early. Sad As the opening statement says two weeks and it has been running for a week.
But okay if you say so.
Thanks for a week's work Yahoo and C.O.P's manager.
488  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-03] Single-Family Offices Are Diversifying Investments With Bitcoin on: March 03, 2017, 03:27:11 PM
If the etf does get approved then expect to see more of these type of companies sprouting up like wildfire.
It will give them more assurance in bitcoin and what can be done with it as with any other valuable asset.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Fees are SPIKING ! on: March 03, 2017, 02:57:33 PM
This is getting to be silly.
Sent 0.009btc just now and it took $0.34 in fees to send it. Usually pay half of this in transaction fees to send the same amount last week.
It cuts from the total amount you have in your wallet available to send. Simply prosperous! Angry

Just received a notice on bitify that their raising their rates to not have to lose out on paying these high fees in using their escrow service even. Lips sealed

 Changes to the Fee System
As many of you might be aware, the Bitcoin network has recently been struggling to keep up with the number of transactions being sent each day. This has resulted in some transactions taking considerably longer than usual to be confirmed by the network, as miners choose only to include transactions sent with the highest of fees. A few months ago, in an effort to ensure that your funds confirm as quickly as possible, Bitify made the decision to increase the fee we pay when sending your transactions. This cost was absorbed by us and had no effect on our users except for transactions confirming quicker. Unfortunately many other businesses followed suit, pushing fees even higher, to the point where some transactions are again taking many days to confirm when the network is under heavy load.

Over the last 3 months the amount paid in network fees by Bitify totals more than our previous 3 years combined, yet we find ourselves needing to increase the network fees again in order to compete with the current congestion on the network. To allow us continue to provide our customers with a great service and acceptable transaction confirmation times, we regret that Bitify can no longer continue to absorb the increasing network fees required by the Bitcoin network.

Bitcoin Fee Increase - Blockchain.info
Blockchain.info – Total Transaction Fees

As a result, going forward Bitify will deduct the network fee from all amounts sent to sellers/buyers. This network fee will be adjusted in line with the current Bitcoin network load, meaning that the fees you pay will reduce when the Bitcoin network is quiet, and increase when it is busy. At all times Bitify will pay the Bitcoin network the recommended fee in order to include your transaction within 5 blocks (50 minutes average).
Starting today:
– The final amount charged by Bitify will include a network fee, deducted from the amount sent.
– Sellers will be charged 2.5% or 0.001 (whichever is higher) + network fee.
– Buyers using Escrow will continue to be charged 1% or 0.001 (whichever is higher)
– Buyers requiring a refund will additionally be charged a network fee, deducted from the refund amount.
– The network fee will be calculated at the time the transaction is sent, and will be relative to the current network load.

The Bitcoin core client can only estimate the current fee required per KB of data in order to be included within our required time frame of 5 blocks. This is the rate at which we will apply fees when sending transactions. However we cannot calculate the exact fee required on a particular transaction before the transaction is sent. Therefore the network fee amount we will charge users will be calculated as the average charged to us by the network over the previous 25 transactions. This will mean that the actual fee paid by us to the Bitcoin network will vary slightly from the network fee we charge you, but since this can be higher or lower, on average this variance will be negligible.

For reference, the current average fee we are charged by the network is just 0.00015 (around $0.19 USD)

We regret that we have had to make this change, but unfortunately it is no longer sustainable for us to absorb the network costs whilst keeping our low fees. On the plus side! You will no longer have to wait more than 5 blocks for your transaction to confirm.

Happy Bitcoining,
Bitify Team

What is going on with these fees sky rocketing?

Defcon has trouble with basic reasoning; if he thinks he is right then he will keep shouting about it regardless of how  much proof against him is shown.
The best thing to do is ignore him, if you try to disprove him it just shows that you're just another alt account sucking up to Lutpin.
Got it! :Wink
Thought all that accusing of sucking up was gone along with lauda's staff rank.
Ah well. Roll Eyes

guys: dont you have better things to do in your own life ? better than playing those poor games ?
Says the one trying to get a witch hunt going on me. Don't you see the irony in your words? Trying to get people to look at my person, while insulting them in the same very post for doing so...

i would seriously like someone take an eye on this post .... i'm surprised this post was saw "muffled".. ( sorry for my bad english )   lol .    when you see how chronicsky  is  attacked for .... how to say ... nothing ?  ..
Because your post had nothing of substance. Your "proof" was neither conclusive, nor was it sufficient to count as indicators.
People don't follow a trail simply because you dislike two persons, deffy.

What you should have done was connect brituspol with mexxer-2.
Neither of those accounts are mine, feel free to link mexxer to as many alt accounts as you can find.
This one is none of them.
Wasn't it beaten as a dead horse mexxer-2 is not luptin? Undecided
A pm line is not conclusive evidence to convict him and showing him to be is becoming very tiresome. Sad
492  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Scam Investigator - He's a scammer! on: March 03, 2017, 01:53:21 PM
It does look like very sketchy behaviour, anyone dealing with Paypal trades like this should be avoided and it looks like they know how to play the system. I'm a little interested in which trusted member gave this person a negative rating and then removed it, a pay off maybe?
It does look a little sketchy. Undecided
Scam investigator had a negative put on and by which DT member was it? Cause I didn't see it show up as a -1 red if it was given. More or less they had some information that could of exposed them as this account is more than likely an alt cause he knows the system here all to well. Embarrassed
493  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTC buy&sell - best rates from HiRiBi.com on: March 03, 2017, 01:35:35 AM
Funds just received.

Proceed with caution as they are still in VERY early stages.
How long did it take and did they add a % to your requested amount as they said they would because of "the delay".

I would assume that you would be doing this for everyone who has to wait along time for their purchased amounts in using your service.
This should lessen these "delays" from occurring so frequently. Grin

Took over 24 hours to receive funds.

Nothing added - received the USD amount as confirmed at time of order.
I'll give them a shot then thanks. Wink
The info and that you confirmed you got your paypal from them all safe and sound after 24 hours. Smiley

495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying coins on: March 02, 2017, 07:42:09 PM
Just forget those sites and go to localbitcoins or even paxful.
You can try them both out to see if you like how they process you transactions.
Then you will need to put in your documents of identification if you want to up your buying limits.
496  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: SELL YOUR BTC WITH GUARANTEED BEST RATE AT THE MARKET on: March 02, 2017, 09:50:26 AM
Enough that I am ticked off but not enough to make me lose sleep  Grin
They had a thread in an ANN that I seen you responded to as well.
They have facebook and some other media sites that show customer reviews. So you are saying they are false?
Even a buy page on bitify which uses escrow. So you don't release the bitcoin until you get what you paid for in this case the paypal funds. But they can do a chargeback so yeah I know, very risky.
Why didn't you just use that way instead might I ask? Embarrassed
497  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: SELL YOUR BTC WITH GUARANTEED BEST RATE AT THE MARKET on: March 02, 2017, 12:17:39 AM
Finally tested them and 60 confirms and no PPUSD.

AVOID like the plague
How much did you test with?
Hope not too much because even 1mbtc is over a $1 and sites like this are not even worth a penny to throw away on. Lips sealed
498  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need 0.15 BTC for Paypal on: March 01, 2017, 10:12:03 PM
Would do a small amount with you if you like.

Pm me with your preferred rate cause it's small.
I will be sending first to make it fast.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Chain of Points - Transforming Loyalty Into Rewards - ICO LIVE!!! on: March 01, 2017, 10:04:56 PM
I just visited the home page for Chain of Points and noticed that we now have 13 participants for this ICO. I know that the crowdsale just started but it would be great if the team will provide more advertisement in the following days. Awareness for this project will increase because of other forms of advertisement and will attract more investors.
That is why there is this signature campaign to bring that awareness to the bitcoin community of their offering and hopefully some on those that visit the site will puchase some shares from the ICO during the crowdfunding.
Hope this all makes sense now.
500  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for broker or buyer for 50+ coins on: March 01, 2017, 08:15:47 PM
Not joking, not a drug dealer.  Just a BTC OG looking to diversify one's investments.  I will need a casier's check or bank transfer.  I will sell them on exchange if i must but im looking to not move the market down that much because I have much more than 50 I need to sell.  I heard kraken has a "dark market" where a seller can find one or two buyers to buy the entire chunk at an agreed price rather than sell into ever-decreasing asks which then may cause panic.
You do know that Kraken has a trading platform now don't you? Roll Eyes
It was just released recently (a few days ago) with the surge in the btc price.
Use that and stay out of the dark market with sellers and all that.

And if this puzzle goes like this: ETF Approval, Europe Crisis gets bigger... etc then maybe we need buy plots to the moon already...
You forgot to add March 15th to that list. This year will be fun times to watch..
Why?

Date that U.S. debt ceiling freezes in at $20T, U.S. govt runs out of budget money by mid-summer unless debt ceiling is raised or DRASTIC govt budget cuts happen (like hundreds of $B slashed).

Or a default (yeah right). Or a govt shutdown (yeah right).

Good luck with that one Trump-supporters! (We'll see if the Emperor truly has clothes or not)

I never visited USA up to now. But i am witness of this propaganda of the Hilary must be the winner etc that the media told all around the world not only in USA.
This situation that you describe is not made by Trump... We all see what the media did in the last months... why would they stop now??

And something new to who is interested, Kraken released new trading platform Smiley and it's faster indeed!!!  http://trade.kraken.com
Kraken bought cryptowatch and the founder joined the Kraken team. New chart! Grin
