@rizzlarolla:

Quote
This is a serious issue. (i suspect stock photos are being added to many accounts?)

Not sure .....

Ok Timelord2067 i understand now, thanks. The photo's were always a side issue though.
The real serious issue is that so many old accounts appear to have been compromised.

I agree with rizzarolla in this case. These recent revelations by Timelord are huge, and potentially show just how deep this corruption/organized activities go. You should start a separate thread in this section for it/them as I'm afraid they may get buried in this one.

Indeed. However it is just another shed load of work, probably ignored by admin. I am hesitant to take this on.
I would like to explain the situation here, before possibly making a new thread to find if i am missing an obvious flaw/reason why this is happening?
(clear to me, either another part of admins scam scheme or just pure negligence on their part. Hal's account being "reactivated" bought no response on this issue from mods or admin)

I have further searched this problem, and it is now quite apparent to me that an organised entity has access to thousand of old accounts.
I have now found hundreds of accounts, "reactivated" after years of dormancy.
Admin need to start collecting snapshots of activity (of all users) if they ever want to be able to tackle this "hacker" in the future.
(i asked for similar in my search for mass farmed accounts, and was denied, so...)

It seems that although these accounts are compromised, their passwords are not (generally) changed.
Maybe the "hacker" does not feel the need, as most are abandoned by the real owners for good. Changing passwords en-masse would draw attention.

The oldest accounts seem to have been targeted. (for fairly obvious reasons)
(edit - maybe slightly wrong there, because i think miningdude and johnybigs may be part of this "reactivation". both around u=110000)
My research is showing me that around 40% of all account are affected. No way can i list all these!
(my research has only looked at accounts u=1 -> u=120000)

I'm not sure how to lay out this info in a new thread. An example of what i am seeing below,

(notice the 24 nov first on list)
That is 11 "reactivated" out of 21 accounts in this random sample.
This is one of the easiest lists to understand, all (bar one) being "reactivated" Feb 19.
All Feb 19 accounts (shown here) "reactivated" within 25 minutes.
(there is a shed load of other feb 19 "reactivations" elsewhere, look at u=2000 - 2020 @11.00am, or u=3000 onward @11.30am, or u=4000 onward @11.45am, or u=7000 onward @ 12.00pm, or u=8000 onward @1.15pm for example, a clear timeline pattern) - edited for more clarity.

Any thoughts? Anyone else want to start that thread?
(added - l'm thinking Meta may be more suitable for this topic?)

I'm happy to wait until users such as Lauda rizzlarolla Avirunes actmyname Gunthar etc come on and have a chance to review the information, hopefully they can expand on it.

Thanks

@chronicsky: he uses a different way to look at alts, which i support indeed and helped in the past to spot many alts and (not always) many scammers. Just coming here and saying "No that's not my alt" isnt very helpful mate. Especially because he already shown you enough connections with Muhammed Zakir which is the long chain of his investigations that leads to QS and TC. I still didnt finish to review QS and TC connections so i'm not confirming/denying that here, but you cant deny the connection with Muhammed Zakir as exposed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1702409.msg17825633#msg17825633
From there follow the chain...you both using same addy mate, stop using insults and use your brain like TimeLord does. I would expect something more intelligent from you rather than attempting to bribe Theymos.
~Gun

in that case you need to go through the thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1702409.msg17897854#msg17897854

i have proven here that i am no alt of MZ.

how else am i supposed to use my brain? I'm not as free as TL seems to be and it took me so much time togo through old messages and find all this shit for nothing!
I gave all the proofs nd proved everything that should remove the doubt of alts from me and still he carries on with his thing. what else am i supposed to say here?
Am not bribing theymos , just asking for his help as i don't see a way here, i gave all proofs but you guys are still siding with him. WHY???

Well, all you did was provide screen shots with red lines through portions of the images (which makes them doctored screen shots)

Perhaps while you're offering up "proof" (in the form of doctored screen shots) perhaps you'd like to respond to this gem that your drinking buddy / business partner quickseller offered up:

chronicsky and Stevenirving are/were almost certainly the same person.

chronicsky held a raffle with a payment address of 16afQqjnsDsWtXDkt5KeQPhHrqz6PthYvA here (archive). This address belongs to btc-e

The address that signed this transaction is 12gKp5T2haNx5C95pxrGH4Cdht3QgAa8Qx which was posted here by Stevenirving. 12gKp5T2haNx5C95pxrGH4Cdht3QgAa8Qx signed at least 42 transactions to the above btc-e deposit address

Except that it's not like burning the witch in the least; it is exactly exposing the fraudsters, scammers and sock-puppeteers of the board which is very noble and good.  I for one applaud the effort as it serves to improve the quality and utility of this forum.

I have red lined them to avoid releasing the identity of people who bought from me. I haven't hidden anything as thats clearly visible.
I know you wouldn't be satisfied if i gave you non red liners either so its no use talking to you!

About what QS has tried to attach to me.
I thought logicc of TL was fucked up!
You connect me to a account just because i have tx with the address he posts.
I didn't even had an idea who the guy is until recently when i looked at it and confirmed a guy whom i could think can only be after going through the post history of his.
He's a person i know on skype who i have dealt with many times.
Ffs go to his last posts history and see everything, no way it sums up to be my alt. the guy is in bitcoin like mad and since long
it clearly even shows he's based in USA unlike me.

I think chronicsky has provided a good evidence to clear his name from radar of being linked with MZ . However, Timelord's has revealed chronicsky dealing in mass account buying/selling activities in past. So far it is what I can make it up till now.

Accounts Connected:

Professor James Moriarty, BlackTradeCapital, BlacksmithCorporation, Nomisma, NumismaCorporation, Aleator,

Proof:

In this here thread: BTCTalk account + twitter handle with 100+ followers and the domain. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1043221.0;all Archive which was started by the OP     BlacksmithCorporation u=482396 http://archive.is/d3yHc

chronicsky posts the following:

I bid 0.01 btc given you provide me a signed message from this address 1MFGVCbDAe7RAJygYt4qCGp6v5KZpq2Ta2
What site is the domain on ? I hope it's on Godaddy .

quickseller alt ACCTVendor posts, then...

Then Ron quoted it:

I bid 0.01 btc given you provide me a signed message from this address 1MFGVCbDAe7RAJygYt4qCGp6v5KZpq2Ta2
What site is the domain on ? I hope it's on Godaddy .

I bid 0.011
And can we put a pause on the auction as seller is a newbie and he might not come back.
We can put an hold on the auction unless the OP comes back and replies.
This would help preventing spams.

~Rony

Chronologically, it's not the first time wallet address 1MFGVCbDAe7RAJygYt4qCGp6v5KZpq2Ta2 is used.

BitcoinAddicts and chronicsky chat with each other in this thread selling UIDs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1043221.0;all Archive and it wouldn't surprise me if one (or more) of the above are the names that chronicsky has crossed out in their post from a couple of days ago: https://i.imgur.com/a5iPJCG.jpg

which would fit in with NumismaCorporation u=492355 being last active less than four days prior to the date in the screen grab, ie, the other corporation BlacksmithCorporation was the one doing the negotiations...

Same with BlackTradeCapital was created a week prior to these crossed out screen grabs: http://imgur.com/a/TEMo9

BlackTradeCapital and NumismaCorporation are both claiming from the 777 signature campaign, so they all get Red Paint TM

Miscellaneous II:

No release address/txid was ever posted, however it was posted here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1429440.msg14627473#msg14627473) (http://archive.is/h1o7F#selection-44867.0-44876.1) that funds will be released shortly, and a transaction releasing BTC from the escrow address was released within 60 minutes of that post.

The change address from the above escrow release transaction was 1FuT7yYxg3cbtf79qVvNNn1A83cx5dXgLH which is part of [17a6c0fbac] (https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/17a6c0fbacb01575). This wallet sent 0.098 BTC to Lutpin’s deposit address, and the change to 1CXWqwer84YYjVtdfXtVXgh8J6vZryG9WC which is part of [456db1765b] (https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/456db1765bd99249)

The wallet that sent 4 transactions to [17a6c0fbac] was [0fe6ed7d35] (https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0fe6ed7d353f5c46) and an examination of the transactions between these wallets, makes me believe that for each of these transactions, the change address was part of [17a6c0fbac]. [0fe6ed7d35] sent two transactions (1ee3a1b1619bb94a004c66e4c427e5b762d64b24d4e1b7ead858bb533a96b9fc and 5d264b2a639157acfc6de4ece221d1016b4fb4a79ebca2d2e18f52cf0211dc10 0.13 and 0.12 to Lutpin’s deposit address, 123erv..Hzwn)
accounts connected : Lutpin and mexxer-2   ( yeah ... quite funny ... but true !  )
Going back to [456db1765b]. This wallet send 0.005 BTC to crypto-games.net via ee719cffc2a50d0a0c2d72d4bf03fbdb5d78856a97b7c8cfc64a3eda737cbf55 the deposit address was 1PGVfoUCUPxPisBPTJXoEhhK2eZJNAqrX9 and according to this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950982.msg17136867#msg17136867) (archive - http://archive.is/1tScD#selection-7805.9-7805.43) the deposit address belongs to mexxer-2. This wallet also received what is clearly change from [8ac29a8752] which contains 1HYjrm8uaR4Kdon2oSiwJUnBj6tLyXUpTc which belongs to mexxer-2 according to this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.msg13904924#msg13904924) (archive - http://archive.is/CfZca#selection-4829.93-4829.127)

To summarize, addresses closely connected to mexxer-2 sent three transactions to Lutpin’s deposit address, all in different amounts (0.098, 0.13, and 0.12), Different dates (19 July 2016, 25 April 2016, and 11 May 2016), and different days of the week (Tuesday, Monday, and Wednesday). These were made to an address that Lutpin keeps generally private as the only place it has been posted on the forum is here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1545527.msg15535220#msg15535220) (archive- http://archive.is/Blsrf#selection-6025.3-6025.37), which was posted by him and then deleted - Lutpin has sent many transactions to that deposit address from addresses that are closely associated with him.

You've proved that [139954a360] is a part of [17a6c0fbac], which is part of [0fe6ed7d35]. Thus, what you have done is tried to connect the accounts of Lutpin and mexxer-2 solely with mexxer-2's transactions to Lutpin. What you've done can't really be considered a link. If I have sent bitcoins to satoshi multiple times over a year, does that mean that I am satoshi as well? Roll Eyes

You spent a lot of time figuring out change wallets, but it didn't connect Lutpin and mexxer-2's wallets together - apart from transactions (that could have been anything at all)

What you should have done was connect brituspol with mexxer-2.

Says the one trying to get a witch hunt going on me. Don't you see the irony in your words? Trying to get people to look at my person, while insulting them in the same very post for doing so...

Because your post had nothing of substance. Your "proof" was neither conclusive, nor was it sufficient to count as indicators.
People don't follow a trail simply because you dislike two persons, deffy.

What you should have done was connect brituspol with mexxer-2.
Neither of those accounts are mine, feel free to link mexxer to as many alt accounts as you can find.
This one is none of them.

Wasn't it beaten as a dead horse mexxer-2 is not luptin? Undecided
A pm line is not conclusive evidence to convict him and showing him to be is becoming very tiresome. Sad

Defcon has trouble with basic reasoning; if he thinks he is right then he will keep shouting about it regardless of how  much proof against him is shown.
The best thing to do is ignore him, if you try to disprove him it just shows that you're just another alt account sucking up to Lutpin.
