1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im coutious about xrp warning on: June 20, 2023, 04:35:02 AM
Im caotious about xrp ,why ?
Becouse i make my financial decisions based what the big guys and whales do it.
What i see ? It doesnt apply for the benchmark legimate rules to be trusted enough.
I see xrp not favoured by them it's secret but If you can read the info and you know rules also of SEC then you get the idea.
Instead of XRP i'll choose XLM stellar.
To be honest i don't put any money on xrp it's one of the coins from what i stay out XRP does not seems to me legit project.
I just don't like to take unneccesary risks.

So no matter how much FOMO and hype xrp has...Im out of this project.
Try checking this thread mate  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5452575.0 as there are lots of comments about either Bitcoin or XRP to be invested and you will also find how bad some looks about xrp's future.
How sure are you that SEC won't come for XLM as well?

Here is another valid point , the SEC nowadays are acting accordingly against crypto and no matter how good the coin is , they will still look for something they can trigger its vanishing or their winning.
1122  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: BINANCE urged to be BANNED in the PHILIPPINES on: June 20, 2023, 03:35:29 AM

If the license is the issue here, sana noon pa sila nagingay with regards to this one, hopefully makipagcoordinate si Binance at sana wag nila tayo iwan because of this issue. With regards to local exchanges, dapat kase mag improve den sila sa tamang paraan.
lalo nat nasampolan na ang malalaking crypto mixing company so what more pa silang mga exchangers ?
1123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A hilarious video that shows so many persons ignorance about bitcoin on: June 20, 2023, 02:56:22 AM
I read somewhere in this forum, I can't particularly place the section but the person said, there's no one in this century who hasn't heard about Bitcoin and who doesn't know the future it holds for us and I was of the opinion that that can't be true.

Judging from my immediate family, I could tell my parents may know that there's something called Bitcoin and that's because myself and siblings hold random discussions about it.

Going through my Facebook account yesterday, I also discovered a very funny trending hilarious video that support my notion.

https://www.facebook.com/kobokocomedian/videos/1312697769656434/?app=fbl😂😂😂

Lol viral videos ? another personal purpose and to gain attention as they care
nothing about bitcoin but themselves .
you have been in this market for how many years yet you still buy those kind of tricks?  Grin
The host has no sense, he asking people from street to choose between half bitcoin and 2 million, obviously people going to take 2 million. If I don't google the exchange rate of Nigerian currency I would have 2 million instead of half bitcoin. OP not everyone here is from your country and it is really hard to get the context of your video. Don't be lame like the host of the video you shared.
another stupid videos that seeks attention and what is more stupid? is that OP shared it here when we care nothing about what they stand .

1125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How the casino takes money from you with a deposit bonus on: June 20, 2023, 01:22:57 AM
This only comes for those who are dedicated in gambling and not just for the bonuses and lets be truth mate as that is why being called "BONUS" ? because it is just a bonus meaning that is only given to those who are playing and not for someone that expect just to surely pocket money .

Gambling is a business mean what? people inside the team wanted to earn and not to give away money.

and simple solution ? don't play for bonuses instead play for what you believe the site that can give you more chances to win(depend on what you believe in)

I don't understand why you say first we need to wager 50x times the deposit "x25 (D+B) = x50" and then you say we need to wager 50x times the deposit+the bonus "(wager 200*50=10k)" You've made a mistake I think. If the customer deposits $100 he will need to wager 50 x 100 = 5000$ or  (100 + 100) x 25 = 200 x 25 = 5000$

You're probably right about this. The wager requirement is for the bonus, not the deposit.
Although the casino has it calculated, if you see it from the player's perspective, let's say he plays with a $1 wager, so $100 gives 100 dice rolls, or slot spins, or whatever he chooses to play, but $200 allows for 200. The player benefits from it, even though the math is not in his favor, because he could be at a win after 100 rolls, but he'll still have to make more, putting the won amount at stake. That's what the casino wants, so that he keeps playing even if he gets a win early in the game, so a bonus can be somewhat limiting if you get lucky fast.
the computation seems to be correct and OP overestimated the amount to be wagered .

So there is ongoing giveaway from Roobet on Twitter in which you have to guess the number to get prize of $50 and still nobody has guessed it so be fast as it's already 2 days so maybe any one of us get the exact number what Mr Roo might be thinking

Source: https://twitter.com/Roobet/status/1669468548337639426?t=PkuchQtdB0vtGsYZvwMVPw&s=19
Have not visited roobet twitter for months now , thank you for sharing this as I will now
be more active in joining their events in other platform aside from Bitcointalk.org events.

have you partaken mate? fail as well to guess?

short time remaining so all of those looking for give away from roobet better join this one.

THIS! I really hope that they do something that is similar in mindset, like a community participation thing and we can all enjoy it. I am not a designer or painter or anything like that so the ART competition concept is lovely to see and I love to check out the winners each time but I can't join it, so it would be lovely if we could have something that others could join as well.

that is the sad reality about the art contest , only few from the community can join because art is a skill and not everyone or many have this  Grin

1129  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stay Lowkey lang tayo on: June 17, 2023, 02:10:41 AM
Some are posting their winnings for the marketing purposes pero syempre baka talaga isipin ng iba na sobrang laki na talaga ng pera mo, this is why I’m also not posting anymore related to Bitcoin, yung kahit na gustong gusto ko pero di ko gagawin kase nga mataas ang expectation ng iba.

If you want to be more successful and safe, better to do this on your own and just focus on your goal.
<snip>

1130  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Presyo ng bitcoin umangat on: June 16, 2023, 03:00:48 AM
dahil napatunayan na natin after every bear the price will go Bull.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 16, 2023, 01:46:47 AM
   -   The number 2 is probably already included here most people get rich quickly by winning a large amount of jackpot. Many hope and participate that this is the answer to the difficulties they are facing.

Even though they know it's impossible to happen but they still do it because they hold on to luck or maybe they'll get lucky as if it's no different from betting on the lottery which with a small amount of capital will turn into millions.

Source : https://silentbet.com/reasons-why-people-gamble/
Leading to a big Jackpot win is something they want and hope that they can win but it's all difficult but impossible for many people to get it, and they still depend on luck to realize their wealth from the Jackpot.

Another reason is for the sake of fun and entertainment, which is what they have done a lot and I say they are very wise if they do gambling, for example, by thinking that the pleasure of playing at gambling can relieve their stress, although that does not rule out that every defeat there must be disappointment.

For me it depends on how we interpret it, I myself am more into fun not for the sake of realizing to get big wins.
win or fun? both can be presented in gambling .
I myself wanted to have fun but I also wanted to have winning in case there is a given luck in my side .
but suddenly there is a lot of losses but I tried to minimize my losing streak and standing the table once there is no luck coming soon.
means one thing I can control myself from losing and that is the attitude we must use when we are in gambling.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Direct Sending of Coins to another Coin Wallet. on: June 16, 2023, 12:28:59 AM
If you are wondering to send cross-chain transactions then it's not possible or it will not possible in the future. Somehow coin should convert either by you or automatically by an exchange.
actually I was wondering this and yes I know that it is impossible but still hoping that someday(at least in the near future that this will come  to reality)

Bumping the thread for more accurate and reliable answer as I believe many of us wanted this to less the hassle of trading.

and also Swapping nowadays has high fee (at least to those i have tried )

Just like the title says is it Possible to "Directly Sending of Coins to another Coin Wallet in the future"?

I mean not like now that from Exchange we need to convert first to what Coins we need to receive before sending to our wallet , but is there any chance in the future that there will be Platform or system that we will be letting to do such?

Example = i have Ethereum and i want to receive Ripple , in which i don't need to convert to Ripple first before sending in which i can directly sent the ethereum and i will receive ripple to my wallet?
Such kind of thing really need centralization and going to work like exchange with extra bit of fee for better convenience or literally there is no way to receive bitcoin when you send an altcoin because both are from completely different exchange and the valuation of 1 btc = 1 btc = ripple? Only exchange can decide that value.
Yeah I don't care if it is centralized or decentralized but at least if this is possible in some way in the future.
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to the market today? on: June 15, 2023, 09:40:13 AM
i was surprised to see the market today, everything fell in a short time, bitcoin fell around $1000 very fast and looking at coinmarketcap, all coins are red.  a few days ago bitcoin rose slowly, but today was very surprising. What happen today? Roll Eyes
If you are new to the crypto space, I'm not surprised. But just to tell you that what you have seen today is very common in the crypto space, that's how volatility looks like and we can't expect everything to go so well, a market crash is also possible. That is why it is called a risky investment and if you can't manage to handle this situation and are able to adopt it, surely it gives stress on you.
I encourage you to keep strong and calm, it dumps today but believe it will turn back high again.
One of the most basic lessons new traders must learn but refuse to do so is that volatility can work both ways, so sometimes it can favor us and it can allow us to make a lot of money in a relatively short amount of time, but sometimes it can work against us as well, right now the market is experimenting a negative trend but for those of us which has been around for a very long time what we are seeing is nothing new and we can easily deal with it.
learning both ways will bring them better result , because sometimes we are just looking for good result or bad result but we never pay attention to expect them both for the future .
if in case we did not understand? trading should be not just to earn but to learn how to keep holding, not because the value is dipping bad meaning we must gave up because sometimes sideways will come.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We the Bitcoin Enthusiasts, How can we Safequard our Holdings in Turbulent Times on: June 15, 2023, 07:03:16 AM
How might the closure of a prominent cryptocurrency exchange like Binance affect investors confidence in the broader crypto market, and what steps do you think enthusiasts can take to safeguard their investments in such situations? Please share tips.

I'm thinking about closing my key positions for the time being.
Am not sure what protection are you seeking  here? meaning you are storing your funds in exchanges ? then if you do so you must be weary about the same situation , try to put your funds outside exchange when you are not trading because with that you will be safer for time of closure .
but as exchanges are being shut down , that does not mean all exchange will have the same faith though this will damage the situation for a while but will be forgotten eventually .

really? PayMaya enabled crypto deposit ?
...
though yeah maybe Dogecoin is jus added recently . but thanks for this heads up mate because while Gcash even struggling in their security issues  now I may try using PayMaya as well for other options .

Yeah it was made available to me about two weeks ago. However unfortunately, Coins is still best for me to do cashout via remittance, even though they just doubled their fee after they started going through Dragonpay. What's weird is not all Coins accounts have to do this. I dunno if its just a requirement for me as a foreigner or whatever.
maybe yes because you are foreign user because doubled ? that is G D*mn high mate but like what you said , you seems to be less choice but to use their service , But have you considered using P2P of binance directly to Gcash account ?because the fee seems lower than using coins  for your part.

But anyway, I dropped everyone who had commented on the last couple pages of this thread some merits, I can't do it all the time but I did it as a late Independence Day present, hehe.
Thanks for this mate , its a pleasure having your generosity for Filipino users I really admire your treatment for us here again thank you  so much .you will always  have my respect  mate.

if the amount you are using is something that you don't badly need meaning excess money then why not? seek for jackpot for who may care? but if that money is for supposedly a food for the table or at least for medicine of other important thing?
then that is stupid to believe that you will win jackpot.

        -  actually all points are valid but i think there are so much for every gambler to understand either new or old one because we must learn that there is no complete winner in gambling but the site/casino owner .
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 15, 2023, 04:02:57 AM
Gambling places are not for steady income, if you want steady income with gambling, online or offline, you have to be a owner, build your own casino and watch yourself growing up into a filthy rich billionaire.
even if you are a gambling owner , still you will not gather steady income because in business there is no such thing but of course it can be profitable but at least if you established and gain popularity and support.
Quote
Online casinos are places where it's certain that you will lose your money, it's a place where you need to be mentality sane to at least have a good ride and experience as you progress, it's not always about making money with gambling, it's always about not ending up running insane because of gambling.
actually the short term is 'You must learn to control yourself' if you wanted to succeed in gambling.
Quote
To make this happen, you need to discipline yourself up, make sure you set some rules on how you will handle gambling every day and how much you are willing to risk on gambling every day or else you will end up in the gutter, with full regrets.

That's if you are not even addicted to gambling already, a addicted gambler always have one goal in mind, '( I have to make back all I have lost ), this is where the beginning of the end begins.
then before engaging in gambling , you must have attitude of better understanding and knowledge in gambling .

Every day its a new problem.

Then I noticed that PayMaya had enabled crypto deposits finally, including for Dogecoin, so that's nice. Meanwhile most of the market tanked overnight but whatever, at least there's PayMaya, better than nothing, lol.
really? PayMaya enabled crypto deposit ?  upon checking now indeed that it is operating since 2022

Quote

Aside from Bitcoin and Ethereum, other popular coins and tokens available for trading in the PayMaya app are Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK), Uniswap (UNI), Solana (SOL), Quant (QNT), Polkadot (DOT), Polygon (MATIC), and Tether (USDT), with more coming soon.

though yeah maybe Dogecoin is jus added recently . but thanks for this heads up mate because while Gcash even struggling in their security issues  now I may try using PayMaya as well for other options .
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Be Badly Hurt if Binance Goes Down? on: June 14, 2023, 04:05:12 AM
I really am no fan of Binance because I found their KYC annoying. What is not in doubt is that CZ is supposedly one of the most credible faces of crypto. How much harm do you think a Binance implosion would cause Bitcoin? Is the US a big threat to the coin market?

https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/a-former-sec-official-said-the-binance-ceo-and-others-may-face-criminal-charges-soon/
Hurt ? not only bitcoin but also those investors that expect profit in the next coming days but this is just temporary .

Yes Binance is one of the biggest exchange but we knew that exchange is a business and there is always competition , while binance is there surely there will be more exchange to grow upon the fall of binance .

Bitcoin leaves not only because binance is there and it is because we as bitcoin users support this.

we can still purchase and use bitcoin even without this exchange .
1140  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 14, 2023, 03:05:59 AM

actually that is also their mistake as being having a Name of TRUSTpilot  they should understand the obligation to hold their reputation , but the way they operate? surely they don't deserve to be a review site as they are not providing a legit review instead just a simple counting of those review votes.
Yes, review sites should have strict rules for users who give reviews, for example, complete KYC so that they are not abused by many users who are paid by 1xbit, I think 1xbit, besides holding a signature campaign, they pay people who give fake reviews also to get new users which the money can be stolen.
That is one thing on my mind that comes when reading cases like this that those are random account that shills for those scam casinos to looks legit but why not implement KYC to post their reviews so it will be certain if legit or dummy.
Quote
I think review sites must maintain their good name to be able to protect all their users who use review sites to play gambling, if many victims see fake reviews like this it is clear that the trustpilot review site will also be affected, namely not being trusted anymore by many of their users.
but the problem is Players or gamblers mostly plays in crypto casino because of their privacy meaning they wanted to hide their identity so why reveal themselves in review sites.
