1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You must do this if you want to QUIT or NOT on: July 15, 2023, 03:00:34 AM
Things we must do to stop gambling according to experts:
Quote
1. Recognize the problem
2. Remove the stigma
3. Confide in a love one
4. Seek professional health
5. Adjust as needed
Source: https://www.forbes.com/health/mind/how-to-stop-gambling-expert-advice/

Now, if you still want to gamble but you don't want to become addicted to it, one of the things you should do in my opinion is:

1. Only set aside an amount of money that you will use to gamble in a casino.
2. Don't think that you will gamble to make money, because if you do that, you will surely have a problem later.
3. Just spend a few hours staying in a casino to gamble so you can avoid what you don't realize is wasting time that you should be spending on important things instead of gambling.
but do you really wanted to quit gambling? or you just wanna control and have time to stand the table once you have lost enough capital?
this is the difference between addicted and normal gambler.
so never advise people to quit when they are just enjoying .
respect to their decision and let them qualify to what they wanna attain in this gambling.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 14, 2023, 06:16:26 AM
don't waste your time and money mate , you will only facing a possible scam or stupid advises  , better to do your homework instead because do not forget that your money is your sole responsibility and not theirs .
and prevent from joining people that will only have interest in taking your money and not to make you grow.
in this market there are so much like this and only few that will care for your funds.
1044  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot - Crash with the lowest house edge on: July 14, 2023, 04:11:06 AM
Oh wow so Moneypot is back! I used to pay there back in the day, welcome back. Lets see if this time goes any better, i hope it does. The site looks good, ill be sure to give it a try
^Yes this made me confused, I researched it in the forum which seems familiar with this name and you are right, they are here before and it was under the ownership of RHavar but he announced in this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1302623.0 that Moneypot.com was under new owners control in 2015. So my question is, is OP a new 3rd owner of this gambling casino?
But by the way, welcome back to the forum I think they are not new here, just follow the suggestion above for the marketing ads.

Hi DoublerHunter,

The domain moneypot.com has quite a rich history, but just to be clear I purchased this domain and have no affiliation with previous owners. To my knowledge there's been 5 owners (me included) and has been used for various things. I bought this domain because it was originally used as the very original "crash" game, and when it had invented crash it used a "dynamic house edge" which is something I am hoping to re-popularize.

Thank you everybody else for all the feedback!
Since you are the new owner then you have lot of things to prove here because you are now handling one of the oldest game domain in crypto gambling in which has a good reputation from there.

Welcome to the forum but the way you posted this thread , you seems to be not new in Bitcointalk so I think you already knew what to do and whom to follow from the advises above.

Looking high for your gambling activities and players .
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 14, 2023, 02:55:02 AM
Gambling is a game that has an addictive effect. Most people who have joined gambling sites will find it difficult to get out of the gambling circle. It doesn't matter how much you lose at gambling, as long as we still have money, we will continue to gamble
that is overstatement mate to claim that  many people who joined gambling find it difficult to get out because i can get out of gambling any time I wanted but why should I when i only enjoy playing for some times?
Quote
Can you share your first experience playing gambling? and who told you about gambling sites?
I was being lured by childhood friend inside our school premises , and yes we gamble a card gaming Lucky9 lol.

and about the experience? it was nice and exciting though i lost all my pocket money .

Quote
I myself know gambling sites from my own friends. I idly and try to deposit. Starting from playing with a little money, after a while I didn't know how much money I had spent playing gambling

then you are not a responsible person because you don't even know how much you are spending to gamble.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My story about bitcoin and my old friend. on: July 13, 2023, 03:57:47 AM
there are some of them at least 2 of my friends admit that they blame themselves from not believing in what I try to lure them back then , specially in 2016 when both of them are my officemates and tries to ask them to invest with me.
then 2017 comes and they regret the decision and then came 2021 when they still did not invested.
the lesson here is never regret things that you think will give you benefits specially when you have seen this happen first time and denied the second time.
1047  Local / Pilipinas / Re: SEC maghihigpit? anu ang magiging kapalaran ng crypto sa Pilipinas on: July 13, 2023, 03:28:55 AM
We are still a developing country kaya hanggat maaari, makapagcollect tayo ng tax and if marami na ang kumikita with crypto, I think mas magfofocus sila dito para maghabol for taxes.

1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: July 13, 2023, 02:59:02 AM
Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
If for me it will be addressed? of course I will not be only offended but also insulted because I know for myself that I am a disciplined and a fun looking gambler so calling me as an addict then you don't know what is the difference of the two.
and besides who are they to refer us such that?
what do they have in mind and life to address a person to be addicted when they are not contributing to my life?
but if this come from my Wife or at least my Parent and siblings? then I will ask them about how they think I am because sometimes we cannot find ourself to be addict but our love one can.
as gambling is tricky and indeed addicting.
Who won't get offended to be called as gambling addict? Not everyone want to hear that so I guess I will try to track back my activities if the claims of those people saying that is true. If I figure out that he is right on what he said to me well I might fix things up and correct all the wrong doings I do on my gambling activities, but if I know that I don't gamble that and occasionally I just participate because I'm bored well I might come to the person tell that to me and talk about things so that he also get a clarification on my activities done.

Yeah if you can re-assess yourself and if you really can tell or speak up with your gambling activities, it's better to confront the person who call you addicted, it's a way of clearing everything if you have that attitude or if you have that kind of personalities, no harm but more on clarification about that claim.

But if you don't have that kind of personalities, then let your action speak up with your activities, it's only noticeable if something already exceeds from the usual activities.

it is reasonable to confront those kind of people as they have no rights at all.

face their own life and family and care nothing about others.
1049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 13, 2023, 02:41:33 AM
It's a stereotypical way of seeing women that they are less educated and more inclined towards mysticism and stuff like that. For the last hundred years, or so, women are getting the same education as men in many countries and they are no different than men in those places, and there are more and more of such places in the world. I believe soon the question of differences between Women and Men in Gambling will be absolutely irrelevant.
In this era, almost all countries around the world have the same civilization regarding women and men, even for education a woman is not far behind from men.
But sometimes status and culture differentiate between women and men.
For gambling itself there is no difference between the two, so assuming that men are superior is also not the right thing because there are not a few women out there who have become quite reliable professional gamblers.
I don't know why there are still questions like this which in my opinion are actually not quite right because they can be the start of a debate.

Yeah, with the civilization around the world most of it already have an equal rights. Both women and men can do things accordingly, but I agree also with your statement about religions and the country origins it's also affects those gamblers, as from some conservative places they still practicing that women can't be seen in places like this or they still have that discrimination when women has been a spot in the casinos.
religious matter will not affect the gender issue because if the religion banned gambling it is both Men and women so maybe there are no truly difference in the data , but the origin matters and that is correct because in many countries and beliefs that there are things that only for men and they discourage if not prohibit women to act on that matter and yes gambling is one of those.
Nobody can impose gambling to anyone or generalise the stuff that gambling is specifically meant for female gender neither male gender, I will say that with my basic understanding in gambling everyone is authorised to participate in gambling both male gender and female gender,  why most of us think female hates gambling is because the numbers of male participating in gambling is higher than the female who is in gambling in open place, I have seen women who plays pool consistently than male, so women love gambling but the problem is that their husband's doesn't give them the privilege to partake in gambling always
yes there is mate , and that is some community or origin or at least policy , i have learn from the past there there are still civilization that never allow women to gamble but only women , but of course this is from isolated places only.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 13, 2023, 02:16:17 AM
This shows How powerful bitcoin users over the so called Normal Money and that is Fiat. while you have said that the main purpose of Satoshi creating Bitcoin is a Digital money to fight the government interfering in our daily money using yet the problem is each User or Holder of bitcoin has  power over the currency meaning we are free to do what we wanted not like in physical money that the law prevent us from keeping or hoarding fiat in our hands , in crypto we are the one who will decide what faith of holding .
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 12, 2023, 08:37:34 AM
People often learn from their mistakes, and when it comes to gambling, some may try to see if they can make money from it. However, it's important to note that gambling should not be relied upon as a consistent source of income. Relying solely on gambling for income would mean leaving a stable job for something uncertain.
It's great if people can learn from their mistakes because it can increase their maturity and give them the mindset that gambling is not a place to make money. When someone thinks of making gambling as a place to make money, they will not be able to get it because gambling is not such a place. It is better for them to stay focused on finding other jobs that can provide them with income rather than trying to gamble. They can learn from others and see how difficult it is for people to use gambling as a source of income. But after all, some gamblers can get it but even then, there are not as many people who suffer losses because of gambling.
partly wrong mate because there are some people that make gambling as a money making area and yes feeding their family from what they earn from gambling because I have a friend that is living in this life.
yes there are  ways for them or maybe there are people that has born with luck in their tail.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost bitcoins on: July 12, 2023, 07:53:32 AM
I read some old threads about lost Bitcoins ND this question has been on my mind ever since
If the lost Bitcoins were for instance recovered will the price of Bitcoin drop  because in theory it would affect the amount of Bitcoin in circulation which will lower it's price . I saw in those threads that lost Bitcoins are considered a donation to the Bitcoin network. so if my theory is correct then we should be happy those Bitcoins were lost.

The answers is given by Og , and yes if that bitcoin you are calling is being found then that is not a lost bitcoin instead it is recovered so why need to make this an issue.
and if what you are telling is right then let it be there as a contribution for the network?
but sorry to tell as it is not , instead it will be lost forever and no one will benefits from those lose bitcoins or even other coins.
I myself have lost bitcoins from my forgotten Phrases and yes I admit it to be there in the air forever.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 12, 2023, 07:24:28 AM
Who told you that you need to learn gambling? No one requires us to do so. No matter where you engage yourself with either investment or gambling industry, what you need to learn is to manage risk and loss potential. Gambling on the other hand is by initiative 'coz if you are into profit for sure there are many ways to choose from or options that you may try aside from it. Gambling is just an option and you may invest to projects or tokens in this industry. In fact many crypto users are even avoidant with gambling simply because there investment in this industry already imposes risk so what more of actually engaging to gambling activities.
though he already told us that he knew  something about gambling ,
maybe what he is more interested to know is why a person need to learn gambling in crypto
and that is a general question I guess.
but you are also correct that why would a person need to learn gambling when the truth behind this is never to be a good outcome , losses are everywhere .
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 12, 2023, 06:52:32 AM

Judging  from this poll's result, we had over 42 voters who voted for their respective  choices and based on the report, we had about 30 users out of the 42 voters who agreed that lack of money is the major reason why they're not hodling and this persons made up about 58.8 percent of the votes which gave a far gap to the second option of a fear of a later dip making upto 17.6 percent  of the votes with about 9 voters and  8 other users also voted for other options as the third option with procrastination as the last with about 4 votes.
Because that is the main reason mate , as even us holders are being hindered to add our investments because of lacking of money so that is surely the normal reason.
Quote
Despite not having a massive vote, but Judging  from.thr few who voted, it seems I also had so many people who also believe with me that money is the greatest reason why alot if persons  aren't investing  and there was a question  asked by a uers that how can we say money is the problem when we can eat and even up with daily needs and I was shocked  to see this because I'm  sure this persons don't know that there are people with alot of knowledge  about cryptocurrency but barely have the means to survive and I wouldn't advice anyone to starve just to own bitcoin and I believe  we need to stay health to invest.
mate we are talking about investment so why not money will be the reason?
as if we can able to add investing without money.
Quote
I hope we see the result for ourselves  and stop blaming people for participating in signature  campaigns  and not have any hodlings.
wait, why would people blame those who joined in signature campaign? is it something bad bringing to them?
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is dead, long live ... what? on: July 12, 2023, 05:30:20 AM
Bitcoin is dying, it is not surviving the NFT attack. The mempool is permanently clogged with ordnials, and the developers don't seem to have any resistance plans.
you have been online recently but where is that "Permanently Clogged Mempool"?   because upon checking these days it seems that there are already good flow?
Quote
Any other opinions, advantages, or disadvantages of these 3 currencies?

week later what is the movement of those coins and are you shilling about those mate?

there is no disadvantage but still bitcoin is not dying and never die before altcoins that you mentioned .
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: July 11, 2023, 08:18:04 AM
Back in the days when I start learning and dealing in crypto gambling ? I only uses Dogecoin because the timing when I bought Doge is best because of low transaction fee comparing to bitcoin as I started when there is Bull and the congestion is indeed happening .

But nowadays? I uses coin that available from my pocket , some are from other area where being paid to me or at least wins from investment so any coins will goes as long as it is given by my wifey lol.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 11, 2023, 07:59:55 AM
Can you explain me why i need to learned gambling?

Simply put, here only millions of money are managed by asset owners, so where i have no money. In fact, i have ideas about gambling, but I don't have the ability to spend money there.
maybe because for now you are not capable of spending any amount to gamble but things will change eventually when you managed to earn more than what you are gaining now, that means one thing that you are only waiting for right timing.

I have been gambling for years but I only spend what is allocated , with my wife handling our money ? she only let me spend small part of it and I am contented.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in Student Life on: July 11, 2023, 07:03:30 AM
It is always been a perfect choice to invest in bitcoin but always remember the pros and cons.
but in totality then the best approach is what you can afford to lose.
You are risking more than us usual investors who has not having banned from crypto using but you as you mentioned Banning bitcoin in your country and also being student that tries to put your hard earned money?
I salute you from doing such hope that you will make your family proud maybe not today but in the future.
and also please be careful because any time the government may take your precious coins.
and you may not recover it again.
1059  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: July 11, 2023, 06:49:03 AM
with a minimum withdrawal value of 50 usdt, I still have a long way to go to be lucky enough to withdraw, I would have to hit many multibet bets to reach 50 USDT and be able to withdraw, but as it was a bonus that the casino gave it to me, so I have nothing to complain about, if I manage to increase the amount I earned from the bonus to the point of reaching 50 USDT and then withdraw it then I will celebrate, because I see it as a challenge, but if I lose I won't be either sad because it was a bonus I won, it won't be a loss, anyway I hope I hit my bet
At least you didn't risk a money from your own pocket since the funds came from Duelbits. But is it given through email? If it is a bonus then I assume it has a wagering requirement too or similar? I once received a bonus from Duelbits too but didn't managed to be lucky so I deposited additional funds on my account to continue playing that particular game.

Anyway, don't pressure yourself to reach the withdrawal amount, just enjoy the game. I hope you'll get a positive result so you can share it to us here.
They send it through mails to some users or you can get it through other ways like Twitter promotions but they have attached wagering requirements with it and withdrawal limits also sometimes so you can't directly redeem them without even wagering on any game.
In which I believe a fair approach so abuser won't take advantage of the giveaways because for how many times that this become an issue and yes the site always suffer same as other potential winners .
and what he also says best way to deal , just enjoy the game and let luck tells him if he can reach the withdrawal requirements or not .
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My personal savings now I will invest in Bitcoin on: July 11, 2023, 02:09:42 AM
I would keep half between cash and the bank for emergencies, say $500 in cash at home, $500 in the bank and the other $800 in bitcoin, but keep in mind that it is very volatile and count on not using it for a long time. Over time, if you save more, you can buy more bitcoin little by little, following a strategy known as DCA.
While I am agreed about we must have cash and have bitcoin  but putting funds in bank for cryptonians like us is a big no no, the reason why we are in bitcoin investing is for not having a 3rd party interference so what about that banking ?
and also instead of telling to have some in banks? better to have it as cash than entrusting your money in bankers.
Quote
Always think before you invest to have 3 to 6 months of emergency expenses saved. Then you can invest. Otherwise you may be forced to unwind your investment (sell) if you need the money in the middle of a bear market at a loss.
even a whole year expenses that is the reason that people needs to have their money on hand always ready and only spare money will be for crypto investments.
