Hello all, just wanted to stop by and give some development updates... We are looking into the idea of modifying the future of the project in terms of when PoS kicks in and implementation of MasterNodes into POLY itself.
Given the release of POLYSHIELD public beta which is right around the corner, and offering MasterNode host/share and stakepool... We thought it might be nice that POLY itself be included in both aspects of that aside from being the 'main token' for the platform.
So, we would like to get the community's opinion on the following:
1. We are considering implementing MasterNodes into POLY sooner than block 800k. This could be much sooner, we were thinking within the next couple months.
2. We were also considering modifying the algo a bit , (this is not necessary, simply something that one of the devs on the team brought up) to further ensure the lack of ASIC ability (aside from our own ASIC devices which would only make sense as small home devices, but this is a long time in the future so we aren't worried about it right now.)
3. POLYSHIELD team is considering making its own POLY wallet, which would contain extra functionality built by and for the POLYSHIELD platform. It would contain all the function of the MasterNode host/share, stakepool, (poloniex lendbot potentially), and more built in a 'wrapper' that would essentially be a 'new wallet' for POLY. We wanted to get some opinions on this. The wallet would not be the 'official wallet' merely a '3rd party' wallet built by and for use of POLYSHIELD. It would also be able to implement other unique features. Potentially making use of the Discord POLY.bot for some cool unique features and functionality. We wanted to see the response of the community on this idea.
4. We are considering implementation of PoS into POLY sooner than block 800k as well, with also implementation of the MasterNodes into POLY itself. This would enable staking of the coins already mined, and allow POLY itself to be part of the stakepool being made by POLYSHIELD.
We are anxiously awaiting the replies of the community on these points, and any other opinions on POLY or anything POLY related, overall. Thank you!

We will be launching more services through PolyShield once this portion of existing MasterNode host/share service completed.
We are ever-present and ever-busy working on more services for POLY. The base code for the project hasn't needed much in the way of updates and has been very solid thanks to our great team. However, there will be updates to the code in the future (obviously.) This was to comment on the newbie who loves us so much he made a new account just to come in and say negative things he obviously knows nothing about.  Much thanks for your kind reply. I am now much more positive towards the project, and I see progress in decreasing concentration of capital (which can be easily spoofed though), however I am not a C++ developer which majority of people here aren't, and can only barely understand comments in the code. I think I will speak on behalf of the lay community with the following: 0) Show me where I can learn more about the things I don't know nothing about, duh! Your website has almost no useful information, which is a huge negative thing. 0.1) Who the hell are 25 guys controlling 50% of capital?? (Please label known pools/exchanges in explorer) 1) Show me the team! 2) Show me the idea (why the world needs your coin?). Whitepepper maybe?  3) Show me the plan for future development Right now it feels like it's just couple dudes just want to make a blockchain with not yet seen combo of six random hashing algos (and name it precious) without any idea why except put it on the exchanges and hope it will for some reason appreciate in value and make quick buck from selling it. Maybe you need help? I'd much rather say positive things, but can you defend your project against substantial negative things that I say? The best organic way to growth that you are looking for is to explain what your project is about, and how is it different, and what is its vision for the future. This will attract excited preachers. You have some very good questions there. Unfortunately, there is no answer and I guess there will not be. I asked similarly before what use case does POLY have (the idea). No answer either. Like you say, it looks like a combo of six random hashing algos with no other reason but to make yourself some quick bucks. The same goes for the PolyShield Masternode service (I asked about this before). They get people to donate their coins for masternodes, take the rewards for themselves and give out the useless POLY in return. This is what is seems like anyway, no reply as I asked before. The people running this are obviously smart, otherwise they would not be able to set all this up, and run the money machine successfully. So don't see any reason for lack of reasonable responses. And the plan seems to have been very successful. I am off to other things, seen too many things like this already in crypto, they never ended good. Too many flags. But thanks for all the efforts.. Why you assume no answer when you didn't actively seek one is beyond me. The use cases will be made known as they are made. We do not promise things because in this industry promises are lies, all coins with roadmaps are making lies that they have yet to be proven lies. There is no way you can promise things out months in the future, you can only promise what is already done. Therefore we do not announce things unless we're either in the process of building them or they are already built. This way we cannot ever lie to the community. If you have a problem with that, then this coin isn't for you. The sharing service is not anywhere near what you say... and poly is useless? Then don't be part of the coin. The sharing service not only allows people who cannot afford full MasterNodes themselves to get into them, it also allows working together with other coin projects and supporting them, with hopes they will support POLY as well... this has already worked out very well and we are in communication with a few teams for other projects coming up with potential collaborative ideas. Your pessimistic attitude is one that is greatly over-used in the crypto space, and frankly, we have no place for it. Your nonsense assumptions based on literally nothing, lack of actually attempting to SPEAK to the team via the multiple methods provided, and overall ridiculous attitude of preferring promises over real service development, then complaining about nothing when services are launched before promises... just is all a bunch of crap. Go find yourself a nice ICO scam and have fun. As far as the list of questions in the first post quoted... 1. We will NOT show you the team, and we have made this abundantly clear. Not all of the team would like their names known, and the whole idea is to foster development from the community. However, we HAVE, due to launching with these means... gathered support from the team of https://crowetic.com who has launched the pool we are using as our official recommended pool https://cryptopool.party, and their team has assisted quite a lot in the devleopment of the automation for PolyShield and coming up with new service ideas. So this should at least give you an idea of the methods and ways we're doing things actually working in attaining new people to help out, and getting something that won't fail if a single group happens to have an issue, which is the overall point of encouraging community focus. 2. The idea started as a fairly broad one... and has since turned into something with more of a focus. The focus now is on services that make use of the coin, which in our opinion is very important. To have a use case for the coin, is good. To have services that support the market, volume, and price, also good. PolyShield MasterNode service is not quite fully automated, but is getting very close, and it will bring thousands of dollars of automated money through the market. We think it is a great start. The team has also come up with a few new service ideas that will be implemented soon. PolyShield will be 'your shield to protect and grow your crypto investments.' We do not make promises, we make services. If this is a problem, then you're in the wrong community. The problem, in our opinion, in the current crypto space... is JUST THAT! Too many promises, not enough actual work being done... too much money grabbing, not enough actual development. Therefore, we are not going to make you a list of promises, we are going to make you services. We are going to launch them, then we're going to tell you about them when you can actually use them. As far as development on the wallet itself, we don't feel the need to add anything at this time, however, in the future that will definitely be something we will focus on. For now, the focus is on the main service provider of polytimos... PolyShield. The whitepaper is in progress.3. As far as a 'plan' for future development, as I mentioned above, and many times before... We do not have plans to make plans. We have plans to build services, and fun additions to the project. We started by building a custom Discord bot very soon after launch, then came right after that with a fully working shared MasterNode service. Now we are automating that service, building it into a website, and adding more services to it. We do not feel the need to make empty promises, this industry changes so fast that there is really no point in making promises as they will likely have changed by the time they were supposed to be implemented anyway. What we WILL do, is when the service is being built and we know that we're able to accomplish it, we will then tell people about it, and what the plans are with it. If that isn't enough, then I don't know what to tell you, because we refuse to make promises that could potentially not work out. That's that. |

It's a pity. I thought I'll become a billionaire with POLY...
Here too. I mined a lot of POLYTIMOS for the last few months. Now I will just keep them in my wallet and hopefully somebody will take over this project. I am sorry for my lack of posting here. We are by no means gone, or going anywhere. We are all very long term and focused long term. I recently had some issues with the computer that I use for my posts here, and had to fix that. However, I did my best to keep posting on the poly forums. I have a few exciting developments on PolyShield to talk about! -Announcement- PolyShield custom API for the MasterNode host/share program completeThe API is the first step in creating a full website platform for the MasterNode host/share service. What it allows now is for us to track the nodes, and the users of the service in our own database.
We also have an automated payout tool that does the payouts, pulls coins' prices, and does the calculations for the split payouts the users have set in their posts in the forums.
The next step is to create a new PolyShield website that will allow users to login, set their payout addresses, get into the new rounds of PolyShield MNs, and so forth. We will add further features as well.
We also are discussing a few new services for PolyShield, which I will announce shortly.
So for now, just know that we're hard at work. We don't like to over-promise, we like to over-deliver. Therefore we spend more time WORKING than we do TALKING about working. We figure being able to ANNOUNCE that a service is fully running, is much better than simply making promises. We hope you all agree.
Also, another thing that is being started now is the Polytimos Whitepaper. I will be doing the majority, then passing along to a technical writer / math guy to do the specifics on the tech details and the algo. We will have at least something done this week, and will make another announcement upon completion.
I may start putting together a few other ideas and sharing them with everyone as well.
Never believe we will disappear, because that will never happen. We will continue to provide new services, use cases, and more for polytimos. We are currently looking for users who would like to be paid in poly to help get the word out on the things we're doing. If you're interested contact Simon on polytimos forums. You're talking about cryptohub right? If so, then I agree. I've had no issues so far, but I still remain cautious. No, we are not talking about cryptohub.... we're talking about crypto-bridge.org.

They haven't been around long enough, no one from there ever talked with us, usually places that list without talking and no communication with the team are not to be trusted. However, if they would like to speak to us, I would happily put them on the website and the ANN. I simply don't know enough about them, and don't want people getting scammed based on something they saw on poly site or ANN. Just making sure things are legit before listing them if I haven't heard of them before. It is totally up to them to delist if they choose, but they can also talk to us and we can work something out. |

The BWK (Bulwark) MasterNode was launched today. During the issues with crypto-bridge I have been experiencing I was unable to get the other coins necessary to launch the other MasterNodes that I had initially planned for today. However, there will be multiple new MasterNodes launched by February 28th, 2018. You can still contribute your coins to the nodes and own parts of them up until the 28th, even if the node has been launched already. The polyshield website is in active development with an automatic payout tool in creation now. Meaning soon the MasterNode share service will be fully automated. We will be launching more services through PolyShield once this portion of existing MasterNode host/share service completed.

First, a reply to your comment here... we are listed on crypto-bridge... which cost us .5 BTC and is a Decentralized exchange. Saying we have 'no good exchange' is really ignorant. a DEX is MUCH better than any centralized exchange, there is no risk of a GOX situation. So maybe you just like to FUD? the crypto-bridge exchange GUI is not friendly  waiting for another new exchange , when will start the POS or Masternode plan lol  I love crypto-bridge UI, the problem there is no volume there. Seems the volume is much higher there than it was on coinsmarkets, at least for POLY. The price in 350-500 sat range right now, which I still think is very low. Especially considering the upcoming https://polyshield.online website, and more features and functionality there. The existing PolyShield host/share shared MasterNodes will have an announcement shortly regarding the first payout. There is a lot going on in the background for POLY, and with the listing on https://crypto-bridge.org the price is now moving to where it should be. Everything I can see is moving great to the right direction for the future that was initially thought of when POLY was launched. I have other ideas for the future as well, and more things that will be added to PolyShield in the way of new services, etc. For now, I agree that the net hash should maybe try to decentralize more. So anyone who has information for new pools, please post in the poly forums https://forum.polytimos.net, then once the pools are verified good and working I will add them to the ANN. Also, I guess the pools that are on the ANN now aren't working great, so we'll have to discuss this soon as well. To use Crypto-Bridge:
1. Register an account. It will generate you a password. Your account, unless you're going to get a 'premium' BTS address (Crypto-Bridge is run on top of the Bitshares blockchain, making it a decentralized exchange, so it is a little different than centralized exchanges.) will need to have a hyphen (-) or a number (0123456789) in the account name.
2. Create your account name with a hyphen or a number (or both)
3. You will get an auto-generated secure passphrase. Backup this passphrase in a passphrase manager (or encrypted text file saved in multiple locations.)
4. You can then log in with that account and password.
5. When you see the lock icon at the top, it means your account is saved in your browser, but you're not logged in to the point you can actually make transactions.
6. You need to unlock your account in order to do anything other than see your balances and make deposits. The system will automatically ask you to unlock your account whenever you are executing a transaction that requires unlocking your account. So it is pretty straight forward.
NOTE - you DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEIR CLIENT. YOU CAN ACCESS EVERYTHING VIA THE BROWSER WITHOUT THE CLIENT, JUST LIKE A NORMAL EXCHANGE.
Decentralized Exchanges are the FUTURE, so being listed here is better than ANY centralized exchange, in my opinion. We won't see the issues like what we've been seeing with coinsmarkets for the last freaking 2 weeks. There will NOT be downtime like this. With this DEX, all the team that runs it has to worry about is managing the individual wallet nodes for their 'gateway service'.
Another thing to notice, is that since this DEX is built on top of BTS, no matter what, you can ALWAYS trade to BTS and get your BTS out, since BTS is directly part of the chain, it requires no gateway service for deposits and withdrawals (in BTS), this means that your money is never 'stuck' in the exchange, even if the gateway service fails. (if there is support on the BTS pairing, that is. Which I am sure will happen in the future. BTC will usually be the main pairing, but BTS pair exists as well.)
I for one, am very excited to be one of the first wave of coins listed on this newer DEX. I think it will see BIG growth over the course of the year, and beyond. Hope you all enjoy as much as I do!

As the title above states! We have officially paid the listing fee for Crypto-Bridge DEX (https://crypto-bridge.org) and should be listed very soon, they said as soon as today! But I wouldn't guarantee anything sooner than 2-3 days to be safe.
But, we officially will have a new place to trade that won't go down, since it is hosted on a blockchain. Very nice if you ask me. Very smart.
