ANNOUNCEMENT - https://crypto-bridge.org DEX listing fee paid!
As the title above states! We have officially paid the listing fee for Crypto-Bridge DEX (https://crypto-bridge.org) and should be listed very soon, they said as soon as today! But I wouldn't guarantee anything sooner than 2-3 days to be safe.
But, we officially will have a new place to trade that won't go down, since it is hosted on a blockchain. Very nice if you ask me. Very smart.
Here's to the future of Polytimos!
(I will show the txid for those that don't believe, but only after 2-3 days and if it isn't listed by then, but according to what they told me, they should have it listed very shortly. Keep an eye on their twitter page for updates on when the listing actually takes place! https://twitter.com/cryptobridge fairly sure they will announce there.)
Thank you! Nice ... and just to remind all when you are registering @CryptoBridge save that long pasword you are given cause after you are registered when you come to DEX you can see all your account stats, balances and deposit adressess but that doesnt mean you are logged in and doesnt mean you can make order/transaction unless padlock in upper right corner is unlocked, so... by clicking on padlock just try to login to check everything is OK before you deposit any funds to your account cause if you lost your DEX password noone can help you recover it. Is that just part of being decentralized? That literally no one can get you into your account? Anyone have like a very basic intro to how a decentralized exchange works?

There might be some helpful explanations and rationale at another DEX such as Bisq: https://bisq.network/https://bisq.network/faq/https://bisq.network/philosophy/ .

Is that just part of being decentralized? That literally no one can get you into your account? Anyone have like a very basic intro to how a decentralized exchange works? Yes, that's the point of decentralization, you and only you have access to your account with your password and if you don't treat your data right than noone can help recover it. IK it's kind of strange but that is how it is, once you get used to it it's the same as on any other exchange. Learning and getting used to DEX logic is quite easy and fast. CryptoBridge is in beta but it's fully functional, there is a lot of things that devs are working on and will be improved even more. Only thing what is kind of frustrating right now (at least for me) is that there is no enough nodes which are basicaly important for fast and responsive work of DEX, but that is also something that devs currently working on. Also for those that don't know CryptoBridge DEX is runing their profit share program where with buying $BCO and locking/staking them on certain period up to 1 year you are geting part of 50% of trading fees, ... something like Kucoin exchange with $KCS but better (bigger %) and payouts are twice per month. Anyway, sorry if I privatized thread a little but as decentralized exchanges gaining momentum I thought that it would be good to share my expirience on DEX where POLY soon will be listed.

To use Crypto-Bridge:
1. Register an account. It will generate you a password. Your account, unless you're going to get a 'premium' BTS address (Crypto-Bridge is run on top of the Bitshares blockchain, making it a decentralized exchange, so it is a little different than centralized exchanges.) will need to have a hyphen (-) or a number (0123456789) in the account name.
2. Create your account name with a hyphen or a number (or both)
3. You will get an auto-generated secure passphrase. Backup this passphrase in a passphrase manager (or encrypted text file saved in multiple locations.)
4. You can then log in with that account and password.
5. When you see the lock icon at the top, it means your account is saved in your browser, but you're not logged in to the point you can actually make transactions.
6. You need to unlock your account in order to do anything other than see your balances and make deposits. The system will automatically ask you to unlock your account whenever you are executing a transaction that requires unlocking your account. So it is pretty straight forward.
NOTE - you DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEIR CLIENT. YOU CAN ACCESS EVERYTHING VIA THE BROWSER WITHOUT THE CLIENT, JUST LIKE A NORMAL EXCHANGE.
Decentralized Exchanges are the FUTURE, so being listed here is better than ANY centralized exchange, in my opinion. We won't see the issues like what we've been seeing with coinsmarkets for the last freaking 2 weeks. There will NOT be downtime like this. With this DEX, all the team that runs it has to worry about is managing the individual wallet nodes for their 'gateway service'.
Another thing to notice, is that since this DEX is built on top of BTS, no matter what, you can ALWAYS trade to BTS and get your BTS out, since BTS is directly part of the chain, it requires no gateway service for deposits and withdrawals (in BTS), this means that your money is never 'stuck' in the exchange, even if the gateway service fails. (if there is support on the BTS pairing, that is. Which I am sure will happen in the future. BTC will usually be the main pairing, but BTS pair exists as well.)
I for one, am very excited to be one of the first wave of coins listed on this newer DEX. I think it will see BIG growth over the course of the year, and beyond. Hope you all enjoy as much as I do!

How could you support the dev team without premine and ICO. SIGT does that before with small success at the beginning, however, it's a scam project that everyone has already given up. No premine is not a good way to support dev team. righ now to be listed in mainstream exchanges are not so easy.

Ha, I remember back in the day everyone hated pre-mined coins, has this mentality changed? Calling a currency a scam with no pre-mine or ICO...

Meanwhile, I believe I made a "discovery". I tried ccminer on my 940mx laptop, to find that the gap between the 940mx and the 980gt is much bigger with poly. So basically either poly needs the bigger cards or, more likely, ccminer-poly needs more optimization. (and/or there is a clandestine fee in the binary for poly!)

Yes, a tough lesson learned from the coinsmarkets fiasco. Get your money in, trade, and get it out, ASAP.
