So these are vanity addresses? what's so special about them? You can generate almost any address if you have enough computing bower...

lol "computing bower..."  nice sig count post.

Pattern: 1GetLost
Address: 1GeTLoSTmhPELeJftFk5zQLv7am9xKZ5Aq
Privkey: 5JJZ5kJHaBSzj4eKNXmzSUoWhb1quyT2aBwnom398VHNchyk9dZ

Vanity addresses are pretty cool Wink

Hey buddy, Why did you put the Private key here ??
You could have used this address for yourself !
1284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Pay per View Page on: March 11, 2016, 06:48:33 PM
Isn't paid to surf, the right term for this and there are already sites based on this concept which pay in Bitcoins. For ex. bitvisitor.com, visitbit.com

Or is your idea different then them?
I don't want to make a PTC (Paid to Click) Site !

Here is want i want:

The user goes to the site and PAYS to the BTC Address. After payment is complete he/she is redirected to another page which only premium users could view. It could be any html/php document .

Sounds interesting...what are the use cases for something like this?
I would be using this so that the user has to pay a small amount in btc to view the page. The page could have scripts like logo generator, etc which offer premium services.

I am still looking for the solution.
Please help.

They get special as the number of letters increases and so do the difficulty to generate them (and obviously the time ). Also it is better than a normal random number address !  Cheesy

As your current rank is just newbie so you can join other campaigns like twitter campaigns and facebook campaigns.
The only condition for these campaigns is that you need to have a number of friends, followers, etc.

You can check out the games and rounds section of this forum that has giveaways.
1291  Bitcoin / Project Development / Pay per View Page on: March 11, 2016, 02:55:03 PM
Currently I am developing a site in which the user pays a certain fixed amount of bitcoins to proceed to the next page.
The next page would run a script that would generate a unique url for the user which the user can use upto 10 times only.

Currently i have developed the unique url system but i am unable to integrate the payment system. Please help me.

There is no need to waste your money in buying this software.
Try HOLA extension for Chrome which does the same thing for free. Just google it !

How to claim.

Follow https://twitter.com/BitcoinV2

Re-Tweet the pin tweet.

Post here with your twitter handle & bitcoin address like this format with a random number.

Quote
Your Twitter Handle :

Bitcoin Address :

Choose a number from 1-1000

When I hit 5k Followers(Currently 4.3k) I will use random.org and choose a winning Number.

Regards
I have a query regarding this contest. You said that you would choose a random number. If this number didn't match the number chosen by the participants then where would the winning amount go ? Would anyone win in that case ?
1299  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 09, 2016, 06:51:06 PM
All the vanity addresses are like : 1NAMExxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is there a way that we can generate addresses which end in the desired way ?

For example : 1xxxxxxxxxxxxxNAME

If it is possible then whats the command line for windows?

-snip-

Code:
>vanitygen64.exe -r [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Pattern: [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Address: 19VJ8Pmd5MB4EFJ2ovYX8nurgWiDeAA11
Privkey: 5KWwwpWcKhKcJPgePWCzeM6XKr3cZsTDTuRXiPQCM9HR1b6AaY2

Pattern: [Aa]{2}1{2}$
Address: 1QAkUcikHoeAGgzeg21BMFx627mfntAa11
Privkey: 5KiP18jvZotGWnPWRwXda9TJgKyzhQi48evVv7wMgX4144rcnrq
I didn't understand the last one. Can you explain what do characters inside the brackets indicate ?
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What "facts" you heard about Bitcoin is not true? on: March 09, 2016, 06:47:03 PM
I thought bitcoin transactions are free...
but turn out they require a fee...

This is even shown in the video "What is Bitcoin v1" on youtube here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um63OQz3bjo

Pic here with subtitle :

Well, to be fair, there is no need for fees.

Fees are used to prioritize a transaction, and have no effect on whether you can send he transaction or not. It's just the norm because everyone tries to prioritize their transactions at once.
If users do not pay the fees then many a times the transaction could get stuck or the transaction would not get completed eve !
The miners usually take the fees to speed up the transaction.
