321  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Make Money Domains For Sale on: April 04, 2018, 01:59:10 PM
I think the title is not misleading but i could have added domains names in title also.
you probably should do that, and i forgot to mention that you are the wrong section, you need to move the topic to Digital goods board.
you may have more luck selling them there.

ATTENTION !!!!
Do not Click on this Link !

322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: April 04, 2018, 10:46:16 AM
Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is risinqsun from bitcointalk.org and today is 2018.04.04
or as some of you might write it 04/04/18 pi day 2018
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----

IDBf8Qf3Zd+sbfPsMXCg623KYwUmDQMgMAKwFTLTDCptCnlje2mEDZDwSh1Sf5xkZpikEK//wwDgzKRehroVV3w=
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

is it correct ? please sir give me news

Signature successfully verified using https://tools.bitcoin.com/verify-message/
btw, pi day is celebrated on March 14 (3/14)  Cheesy

I cant verify my address because I don't hold my private keys, I used coins.ph as an address that's why I cant provide a signature as well as signing a message, I do stake my BTC address at tomacage post.
I don't know if it's a general observation or just my ignorance, I can't sign a message from a wallet app from Android playstore. Does it mean it is not possible with an app except we go through the web page?
I suggest both of you making new bitcoin address.
Use the best wallet as well, the recommended wallet you can see at miss Lauda thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0

I also suggest that you check the OP for all the wallets that do and do not support signing a message.
323  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: April 04, 2018, 09:46:39 AM
sorry guys i have problem understanding this system,

how is merit and smerit interlinked i have 22 merit how much merit will i be able to give to someone else for his account with those? 22?

For every Merit point someone sends you, you receive 0.5 sMerit( spendable merit) which is used to reward other users.
The 22 merit that you are talking about is actually sMerit this means that you can send 22 merit to other peoples posts. In total you have 251 Merit .
Whenever you require to see your merit status go here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit

are my merits beeing refreshed regularily?

The merit counts gets refreshed as soon as someone sends you some merits. It is to be noted that if you receive, say 1 merit, then you would get 0.5 sMerit but it would not be displayed until you get another to make it an integer.

More information about this system is stated here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0

325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Definitive List of Celebs [et al.] Embracing Bitcoin/Crypto w/Links (proof) on: April 03, 2018, 07:38:17 PM
I would like to point out a sad truth about most of the Bollywood celebrities that are promoting crypto.
All of them are sharing links to Amit Bharadwaj's Ebook about Crypto which is a known scammer and probably he used the scammed money to pay these actors to promote his ebook.
I liked your idea of this list and its good to see celebs spread their word about crypto.
326  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos @admin Why there is no enough action against merit system abusers??? on: April 03, 2018, 07:31:54 PM
I am also eager to see what actions are taken against such users in the future.

I would like to point out that few of the accounts that you had listed have already reported on the "Suspected users that are abusing merit 3.0" thread here :

** I do not have a sure guide **

USER PROFILE : Chachacoin17, chickenado, thend1949, marcuslong
MERIT SUMMARY : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1002351
PROOF:
Well  I agree on that bit I think we really count a year or maybe a decade before it will going to happen because crypto is not as just popular as fiat.  It's already there before bitcoin exist and we all know that many more people using fiat than bitcoin. So then even if the bitcoin is getting more popular i believe that fiat is really the most common in terms of usage .
Well i think if we are following bitcoin for a long time maybe we  really didnt think that this is the panic time because we all known from the start that bitcoin is unstable and it os really almost changing price every single our of the day and if bitcoin pricw fall maybe we dont have to panic on it because  i believe that falling of price is a big opportunity to gain huge  amount through buy and selling process.
Well, I wil choose both, to invest and to save. I will take risk to invest some of my money and I will save some of it. I will invest my money right now too because of its price going down because I know someday I will receive profit for holding my bitcoins. I will save it too for my future.
Well, it may depend on how every individual think about future but those things you've mentioned is with regards to gadgets. But the main idea here is all about the perceptions about how a person view bitcoin as their future, particularly the investors who remained brave on their stand against bitcoin. For now it seems that more people holds and trust bitcoin and I think those bigger whales stayed calm rather than those new investors. They maintained that progressive visions even though more people panicked of the latest dips of bitcoin.
MISCELLANEOUS:probability alt accounts

You may post about "jerry29@" and "Naitik" in the main thread to see whether an action is taken or not.

I guess the only way this is going to stop is when these people run out of their sMerit then only they would suffer because only honest users would be left to give out merits for quality posts only.
327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to sign a message?! on: April 03, 2018, 06:57:48 PM
i my full member account hacked.i locked up it and i want to unlock it. i have a posted btc address. its bittrex address. can i make a signature from that bittrex address?

Sorry to say, but NO, you can't use Bittrex address to sign a message because you don't have access to the private key of addresses belonging to exchanges.
You should have already stacked your address here : Stake your Bitcoin address here because if you did so earlier, you would have realised this and used some other address.
Without proof forum administrators won't be able to help you.

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties in Facebook and Twitter in danger? on: April 03, 2018, 09:04:48 AM
With recent ban from Twitter and Facebook... Soon they will not start chasing bounty hunters?
I don't see it as a danger to social media bounty campaigns instead it is actually beneficial for the bounty hunters. Here's why :
As twitter is discontinuing ads for ICO's and crypto so the only way left to promote their projects on the social media would be through tweets and retweets as they are not banned banned. The budget allocated to advertising would go towards social media bounties thereby increasing more bounty hunters to join.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Moderating Bounty Posts on: April 03, 2018, 08:36:53 AM
I am thinking of the Bounty Section to be fully moderate to the extent that scam ICO will not be posted there. As we all know that there are many many many scam ICOs nowadays. Bounty hunters are stressing out on how to choose those legit ICOs. I know bounty hunters will agree am I right? Is this even possible?
There are 100s of new ICO's coming up every other day and how are the moderators supposed to know that whether each one of the ICO is legit or not ?
It is the responsibility of the invester or bounty hunters to evaluate each project before investing their time/money into it.
Most ICOs run the bounty campaigns successfully but later tun out to be scam only in their last phase as their tokens become worthless. There is no way that the managers could foretell this.

I would like to suggest an addition to this legendary list :

333  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Moderators on: April 03, 2018, 06:47:31 AM
Merit system was implemented so as to improve the quality of forum without involvement of moderators.
If you find a person abusing the system then you may report them here.

But theymos has clearly stated that :
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

We as a community must tackle with this.
334  Economy / Services / Re: [To hire] Community Manager on: April 02, 2018, 08:50:17 PM
As you are offering your services as a community manager, the correct post title must be changed form [To hire] to [For Hire].

Good Luck with your service  Wink
335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which light wallet for bitcoin is recommended ? on: April 02, 2018, 08:30:39 PM
In my opinion Electrum is the best light wallet for PC. It is the most user friendly and you can add password to encrypt your wallet too.
I had tried few others too but Electrum is the best amongst them.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin ? on: April 02, 2018, 07:04:02 PM
Some of the bitcoin's disadvantages are: being vulnerable to hackers, the high transaction fees and the fact that some governments are banning it
I would like to point out that Bitcoin is NOT vulnerable to hackers, it is the exchanges or other third party services that are at risk of getting hacked.

-> Bitcoin's problem include its volatility as compared to other fiat currencies, this is the reason Steam dropped Bitcoin as one of their payment methods.
-> Recently Bitcoin is getting media attention but still a very few percentage of population is actually involved in it.
-> Bitcoin is now getting used more as an asset than a currency due to the profits that people make in buying and selling it.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: give your best advice on: April 02, 2018, 06:58:10 PM
Choose the ICO very wisely and after a lot of research because a lot of current ICO's become scam after taking away user's money.
You may get some portion of Bitcoin because currently it is at lower price and who knows the price may skyrocket again !
