Last segwit activation increases the block size and increase the price of bitcoin to 4000 USD that is only time of segwit2x activation time but this time bitcoin gold spliting and next hard forking is expecting by this month. We have to ready to face the any situation and manage the bitcoin by holding without any transaction atleast for a week to manage this fork like last time. I think $10k is possible by end of next year but can't predict the exact date when it will touch that level. $5k+ seems possible by end of this year and $5000 might work as floor for 2018. I will say between September to October of 2018, price will be over $10k.  I am being over optimistic lol I guess it will take another 2 or 3 years before we can see Bitcoin at 10k USD. The adoption and market saturation is not mature enough to support such high price of bitcoin. Aside from that we should also consider the resistance and FUD of people who wanted to get Bitcoin at cheapest possible price. So with this I guess price will not double in just one year from this time to the end of next year. That is pretty far according to me bro. I see that bitcoin this year with the enormous growth so we don't need to wait till that much long. Even Japan and India adopted bitcoin as legal money. So we can expect bitcoin's value to be 10k next year also. It's nothing amazing bitcoin to expect that much early because adoption rate more every day. |

The only altcoin which is having a remote chance of surpassing the market cap of Bitcoin is Bitcoin Cash (BCH). I am quite skeptical about the other alts such as Ripple and Ethereum. I have to say that; Credit cards are more suitable for payment, because the time came with the 3D security system. Spending technology did not develop much because bitcoin was used for trade purposes only. I think this is the fault of the users like us.
I would also say Credit Card is still secure and easy to use compared to Bitcoin for older generations. But yes technical faults does happen in Credit Card systems, and till date I haven't seen any issues. Only issue with Bitcoin is its time, other than that I would say Bitcoin method will be better for newer generations and even older as well if they can use it. About the security system, both are getting enhanced, so for both the system security issue is going down if the owner is careful enough.
