101  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: January 18, 2013, 02:58:44 AM
You are right: I am "stupid" for expecting a site to deliver on what they say they will do.  I am also "stupid" for expecting them to answer PM/email questions about problems with my account.  And most of all I am "stupid" for posting my thoughts on a public forum where know-it-all clowns feel the need to insult everyone who dares to post a complaint.

And no, allowing users to contact other users does not create a legal liability.  As it stands now, BTCJam protects scammers.  Frankly, I don't think they care as long as they get their 1% cut.

The great thing about the internet is you don't like it, you can start your own Wink Maybe cause you hate so much they don't like you LOL cause they answer all my questions when I have ones.

Also they are giving you other users information which is a privacy thing and they can get sued if someone really wanted too. So you should totally read the laws just saying before making bold stupid statements.

Also they never promised anything, they were exploring it you idiot read the post.

Your just mad cause some scammer out smarted you and you thought you were going to get a payday like me Smiley It is ok dude, just take some butthurt lube and have fun with your remaining bitcoins LMAO

Also this "Know-it-all-clown" would post complaints right there with you, if there was actually things to complain about, but there isn't. Think it as this way, would you be complaining if you went to a job board and did a job and the dude stiffed you. You wouldn't blame the job board, it is the same situation.

Thanks for proving my point about you being a know-it-all clown....
-Allowing someone to email another user, whcih is the only thing I asked for, is not a violation of privacy under any US law.
-Under US law, sharing people's name/address/etc. is perfectly OK as well as long as the person agrees to it (when they sign up for example)
-BTCJam isn't even an American company, so our privacy laws don't apply anyway.
-I have emailed and PMed them 4 times regarding fixing my phone number and they never respond.  Numerous other comments have not been acknowledged.
-I haven't complained "so much" or at all before 2 days ago.
-My complaints have nothing to do with losing money, but rather the piss poor customer service BTCjam offers, and what appear to be outright lies.  It does not take 4+ months to figure out if you can make credit reports or not.  The "working on it" is a lie: they eitehr never tried or were rejected and don't want to admit it.

6 errors in one post, impressive, even for a clueless know-it-all.

BTC was trading at 14.60 at MtGox (and 14.20 at BTC-e) when I tried to transfer.  It is now 15.60/15.20.  That means I have to pay 6.8% more because I was stupid enough to believe a service called Bitinstant would you know be instant.  So I will "flip out" if I want to.  I didn't pay 1.5% for you to sit on my funds for 18 hours!

If you can't fill the order, don't take it without warning the user.  How freaking complicated can that possibly be?

$available = get_reserve ($to_exchange)
if ($available < $requested) {
   warn_low_reserve()
}

Its one thing to"take responsibility" and have a free-for-all.  Its another to claim the site is going to help punish stiffs when in fact it does nothing (and indeed protects them to some extent by not allowing sellers to contact them in any way).

Contact your lawyer, you do know that he can't just give out information like that especially if he is trying to be legit, so yea your stupid. He made one comment about they are working on it, they probably need to go thru so many hoops and legal things but your small brain can't think about all that.

Order ID 1ae74ebe-6630-41eb-b5a3-7a60be8c81b5 "execution failed!"  Please cancel and return funds to my MtGox acct since you failed to meet your promised time frame.

Thanks,
Thaddeus

Hello?  You answered one's complaints except mine.

Your so called technical support told me via email I have to wait 3 days for a refund.  Unreal.  Either process my order or refund my money.  I don't care which, but I am not waiting 3 days for anything.  A conventional bank will process my transaction in 48 hours or so and won't charge me 1.5-4% (like you do) for the service.  It is absolutely unacceptable that bitINSTANT needs 3 days to fix the order you accepted but could not fill.  DON'T TAKE ORDERS YOU CAN'T FILL and if you do screw up and take one for God's sake don't make teh customer wait 3 days for a refund.  Geez.

Found another bug - the site is not allowing me to leave feedback at present (the list of available users is blank).

Hi there,

Two people that I funded have defaulted and for a while now.

Do you know what will happen to them? Will the money be collected by other means now?

When the site launched, they promised to report defaults to credit agencies and/or provide collection services.  Requests for updates on that service have generally been ignored for at least a month now.  I think it is safe to assume BTCjam will not be doing anything to defaulters any time soon.

Thaddeus

We are working towards that goal, can you point the place where that promise was made?

Promise was probably the wrong choice of word; still you have to understand that as near as anyone can tell nothing is being done.  You've been saying you are "working on it" for months and until today weren't even saying that anymore.

In the mean time, can you at least email the defaulters periodically or something.  Its entirely possible that at least a few simply forgot about it.

Thaddeus

Again people can't take responsible, this is a P2P lending site, it is to match you, not be responsible for your stupid choices. I have done so many loans and Never had one defaulted. Also do you think that maybe they need to explore the laws that have yet to be written for bitcoins, remember bitcoin isn't currency it is a commodity different USA laws are applied to both. So I think people like this need to shut up and deal with there stupidity in other ways.

Its one thing to"take responsibility" and have a free-for-all.  Its another to claim the site is going to help punish stiffs when in fact it does nothing (and indeed protects them to some extent by not allowing sellers to contact them in any way).

the thing is it's stuck at 167,000 and its not a fairly new wallet, in fact its very old, like 3 years old, I'v started a re-scan of the blockchain but I was given a new address in the process, hopefully the coins will show up once it gets up to 200,000 or so, got my fingures crossed

You can have unlimited addresses, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Anonibet is the only "full service" bookie that I'm aware of (parlays, wide variety of sports, etc.) My experience has been good thus far.  http://www.anonibet.com/index.aspx
115  Economy / Service Discussion / Dwolla customer service is A++ on: January 16, 2013, 06:42:46 PM
Twice I've needed to email Dwolla customer service.  Both time they not only replied, but also resolved my problem within 2 hours.  Very impressive, IMO.

The payments calendar is not updating - I've had two investments go active in the last 48 hours and neither has any future payments showing up.

Glad to see the service is back up...  Can you please answer the PM I sent you last week when you get a chance?
