21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: February 15, 2013, 03:43:03 PM
It's been over 24 hours now and your BTC-e reserves haven't budged a penny.  Their site has been up and running fine for awhile now, so obviously something is wrong on your end.

Please just go ahead and cancel/refund my order: c7bb663a-e7be-4e51-9340-36c490ed2e9b and I'll resumbit it if/when things are working.

Thansk,
Thaddeus

23  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: February 14, 2013, 09:42:06 PM

Loan policy update:

It's no longer possible to create anonymous listings. The borrower must have at least identity and address verified.

Interesting development...  I guess BTCJam now feels it is necessary to protect lenders from themselves.

Still, probably not a bad idea as it was becoming a real pain to scroll through page after page of "loan for rep" requests from 0/17 reputation people.  (Few got funded, so people weren't being scammed in large numbers - just inconvenienced.)
24  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fund your 5dimes.com acct (a leading casino/sportsbook/poker site) using bitcoin on: February 14, 2013, 09:36:48 PM
At current prices, it only takes 3.7 coins to fund $100 at 5dimes.
25  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook on: February 14, 2013, 09:25:33 PM
has anybody more than one account at anonibet?

i have  200 BTC winning limit , but sometimes i want to more

is it possible anonibet (will) close multiple accounts?   if you open more account it is only to evade the winning limit,
so i think if anonibet notice it, anonibet will do steps again this , or not?  what do you think?

another question ,  if i login in within another ip range , and send bitcoin from my wallet  (my client is: Qt, bitcoin version v0.7.0-beta)
what can anonibet see ?
can anonibet see that the money i sent is coming from the same wallet  that i used to send bitcoins to my another account too
so can anonibet discover that this 2 accounts are connected ( used by same person to evade the winning limit)

Can't speak for anonibet specifically, but sportsbooks have limits for a reason.  If you try to bypass them and anonibet finds out, don't expect positive results.

Can you fix or refund the following order: c7bb663a-e7be-4e51-9340-36c490ed2e9b

It looks like no BTC-e transactions are going through (reserves remain constant) at this time.

Is it possible to register on the bitfinex forum?  It doesn't seem to be because it demands a referral code. :/
if you are a BFX user you get the code so check your email

you got invited on

OK, so I found the code and registered, but I still can't post.  The registration said something about an activation email (which seems rather silly since you only let people register from bitfinex registered emails anyway), but I didn't get it.

...

In any case, bitfinex is still down for me.

Looks like the server reset fixed both issues - site is up and email was sent.

Damn my luck.  I correctly predicted the drop and was short.  I would have closed out in the low 22s (on the way down) most likely, but now it looks like I will have to close at a loss since BTC has fully recovered and the site is still down.

Hmmm, Is BitInstant staff on vacation?  Looks like there have been no replies here for a few days (highly unusual) and also no refilling of reserves (also highly unusual).
32  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook on: February 13, 2013, 03:22:19 AM
Not to crap on their thread, but we get a ton of people tired of anonibet delays. BTCSportsBet is the only BTC book that has been in business over 2 years with no issues. Financial backing is very important, and we have been reviewed by the Offshore Gaming Association and others.

It's almost amusing to see these shoestring sportsbooks pop up, unfortunately most will go away just as quickly. Be careful guys.

With all due respect, taking Pinnacle's lines and juicing them up is not running a sportsbook.  People may find the service useful, but to compare your operation to a real sportsbook is laughable.  Real books set their own lines.  Real books take parlays.  Real books offer more than major market main lines.

AnoniBet has some issues, but at least they have the guts to operate a real book.

Sweet. Dropped a rating point because paypal unfortunately still exists. Roll Eyes

No, the logic for social networks changed.

Now to earn points your account must be verified ,old or with a minimum number of connections (friends).

The paypal reward still 6 points.

(to refresh the status of your account just sign in with Facebook). eBay will be updated automatically soon.

This is definitely a positive change to prevent throw away accounts helping scammers...  I have recovered the two missing rating points now. Smiley
34  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: February 12, 2013, 06:49:14 PM
It looks like everyone who has PayPal dropped 2 points today.  Is it only worth 4 instead of 6 now?  (For the record, 4 is a much more reasonable than 6 given that nothing else is worth more than 2.)  Or is it coincidence and all these people lost 2 points from eBay/Facebook?  I lost 2 points and my eBay is 4 years old and Facebook 3 years old with 100+ friends, so I doubt it is the second option.

The Ponzi scam operators are not going to like having a limit on the number of active loans.

I see that the Ponzi scam scum have started voting for unlimited loans.

I guess this poll will show just how many scammers vote.

Simple solution: do not lend to people with multiple outstanding loans.  Why does the site need to impose a hard limit?  I personally do not lend to such borrowers, but voted for "unlimited".  I guess that makes me a scammer.  Roll Eyes

Tulkas,

I suggest you not give a reputation point for eBay unless the person actually has some feedback there.  Otherwise, it is just yet another automated process for scammers to easily game with 30 seconds of effort.

Also, I have been getting the "We're sorry, but something went wrong." all day when I click on the rate a user button.  Something is probably messed up on your end.

As a lender with only one feedback I can't leave feedback myself even though I've been rooked for BTC. That's wonderful.

The number of feedback you have received is irrelevant.  To leave feedback, you need a reputation score of 4 or more from verification section.

Irrelevant, I lend money, I don't borrow. Zero interest in giving more data to a "by the wayside" website to "lose".

You complained you couldn't give ratings, so I told you what you needed to do to give them...  It doesn't really matter though; no scamer is going to ask for another loan under the same ID after defaulting.  Instead, they will simply create a new one.

ThaddeusB requested $250 @ 10% interest per 30 days. Max runtime 60 days. Received the money already via MtGox USD code.

Confirmed.

Here we go again with the no grading for days... also, site is constantly overloaded (i.e timing out) these days.

Has anyone received a withdrawal from them in 2013 yet?

I requested a withdrawal in mid-January and received it in less than 48 hours.
