121  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: VIRCUREX !!! IMPORTANT !!! on: January 15, 2013, 12:41:20 AM
Ltc withdrawels are 5 Ltc per withdrawel now, really? I have 10 Ltc on the site, and will have to pay 50% of it as a fee? You will lose a lot of business if this is for real.

Also, while you are at it, please take a look at other exchanges and improve your exchange. It's very confusing, you allow way too many scammy alt coins to be exchanged, which had premining going on like Solid Coin for example. Next, apart from the terrible page design, trading isn't convenient at all, I have to calculate and type dozens of digits whenever I want to change dvc or ixc to btc, then back to ltc. Why do I have to change for ltc, you might ask, other than the fact that I like ltc? Because the withdraw fee for Btc is at a ridiculous 0.1 btc per withdrawel. What a rip-off.

So, while I only use vicurex to profit from some merge mined fractions of coins (way too little volume for actual trading) some real competition for btc, nmc, ltc markets would be very muchly needed. It would be desirable if vircurex presented a a real alternative to btc-e. However, unfortunately you are lightyears away from it.

While I agree the 5 coin fee for LTC (and NMC) is ridiculous, the inclusion of many altcoins is what gives Vircurex its market niche.  So, please put the fee back to what it was, but leave the alt coins.  An easier way to spend "all funds" at once (on a buy) would be nice as well.

hmm looks like that address received a total of 1,017.56 BTC since 01-11-2013 - the same day that I was unable to withdraw my funds. I'm hoping for the best but it appears someone made off with all of the BTC

Can you confirm how much has been stolen Tolkas?

Most likely the owner of that address stole 1000+ coins, but not all from BTCjam.  They probably used the same security exploit to steal from a variety of sites.

Important announcement.

We have detected fraudulent transactions to address 1CP6dby8s3XNVFJPBQkXczDQFEqZ1jVnQS.

The website was taken offline for investigation.

Although some bitcoins were stolen from our "hot" wallet all deposits will be honored and the service will get back up as soon as we identify the problem.

Thanks for the update.  Hopefully you are able to solve the problem quickly.
125  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA]Bitfinex - Meta-Exchange with margin trading and remunerated deposits on: January 14, 2013, 02:15:51 AM
Myself, your replies don't actually make sense; or, at minimum, don't address what I actually was saying.  I suppose it is a language problem (you not knowing English very well).

unclescrooge, thanks for the explanation.  If/when you implement a way to route limit orders to MtGox, PM me if you can.  I likely won't be following this thread closely.

Thanks,
Thaddeus
126  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA]Bitfinex - Meta-Exchange with margin trading and remunerated deposits on: January 13, 2013, 04:53:54 AM
Question: why when I enter a limit order and rout it to MtGox does it not actually go into the MtGox order book?
Because posting and cancelling orders for mtgox are not instant, this type of orders are what internally I call them hard orders the discussion about them started on 12/11/2012 and yet we have to find a solution for this, this orders required features like; paying interest for taking credits no matter if you use the credit or not so if you decide to erect walls using credit you pay the interest, the only thing that give problems is execution time.

It might not be "instant" but it does post within 30 seconds at the most when I place at MtGox.  Even an hour later my order I placed with you wasn't on Mtgox, so basically you offer market orders only.  That makes your service useless to anyone looking to get a decent price instead of just taking what the market offers.  At the very least you should not deceptively allow limit orders that will never be posted.

Also, you don't post the order if I place it using the "exchange" account either.  In theory I am only trying to sell MY coin in that account, so your excuse about needing to charge interest even if the order is not executed is invalid.

I won't be using your service any further until you come up with a solution.  The .5-1% I lose from being forced to buy at market is significantly more than anything I might save in fees.

Question: why when I enter a limit order and rout it to MtGox does it not actually go into the MtGox order book?  It seems the only way a limit bid will be executed is if the ask drops to the bid price.  That defeats the whole point of a limit order.

My order (fedf5be5-9c55-49a9-bf92-19846dc53431) has not been processed in 2 hours+.  You debited my account successfully, but the order page says "Order execution failed!" on your end.  Can you please fix this (and also refund fees since you failed to process the order in the guaranteed time frame)?

Hey, we dont have BTCe at the moment, let me know I can refund you or you can wait a few hours

Thanks

If the transaction will be processed within 24 hours, I can wait.  You should either show your reserves somewhere or adjust your system to warn people about lack of reserves.  I know I'd appreciate it.

Nevermind, already processed. Yup, were working on that!

Got my funds, thanks.

I would take it to http://exchange.zapto.org and try to turn it into 2TRC through ingenious trading.

A nice feature to add would be that if you are short two mutually exclusive events (such as home team wins by 1-3 and home team wins by 4-6), you are only charged margin once.
