181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about coronacoin COVID? on: May 24, 2020, 05:16:20 PM
There is a bounty campaign promoting COVIR.io, at first look it looks good, but even they are legit and are not scam at all, the problem is if the token has an use case, I canīt imagine for what this token could be used.

Quote
CVR tokens represents the license rights attached to Octopus Robots Biosafety
solution against COVID-19, that will generate incomes over license sales and
royalties.

The above is what I get from the covir technical document, the cvr tokes as you can see will repsent the license rights of investors that is attached to octopus robots which is a partner of covir.io to generate incomes, we can't deny the fact there are many covid-19 related projects in the market but a thorough look at convir and there octopus robots partnership will tell l you they look very different, this is not an endorsement of this project, but just telling my observation.

I like your observation! The main problem here is that we don't know much about pharmaceutical companies, all we know that there is a lot of money in that, but nobody knows any names, we don't know who is trusted and who is not. We can research and find out more, but I don't think I will do that! I don't care about them because I don't have a nice opinion about them! I will not get into any covid related crypto project.
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which technology worked in crypto? on: May 23, 2020, 06:34:27 PM
Even though their idea is great but the question is, will their project able to survive in the long run?. I have seen some project that are successful in short term and failed in long term.

There are more important questions, maybe the one is the team capable to realize ideas they have. Sometimes the team depends on money, they need equipment and if they don't have money to buy one they re forced to leave the project! I think the long term depends on many factors, and if the team is not capable to deal with all factors they can't hope for better, together with all people who follow and actively participate in promotion or development of the project!
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC bottom is yet to come??? on: May 22, 2020, 08:32:25 AM
Bottom has been reached at $ 8900, and now the price of Bitcoin has risen to $ 9200, Ti
it looks like Bitcoin can hold at the level of $ 9,000 again, hopefully $ 10,000 can be reached in the near future
It seems wrong. The correct bottom price for bitcoin has already passed a few months ago and it should be around 4k. The current rate can be considered as a new floor that the bottom is not yet determined.
There was no reason to call that 9k or less as the bottom floor for bitcoin.

Every period has bottom and top. The period can be day, week, month, or year, or any other like 10, 100, or more days. I think we hold a nice position after halving and from this point, the price can dip, but most likely we are going over 10k. There will be a lot of volatility, but once we break 10k resistance maybe we will never see the price under 10k again.
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee Introduce a new privacy coin on: May 22, 2020, 06:05:41 AM
~
McAfee will airdrop a new privacy coin called Ghost to holders of ESH.

Well. now McAfee is getting in trouble with his Ghost since he got caught plagiarising the white paper of PIVX.  ( https://www.newsbtc.com/2020/05/18/crypto-privacy-project-mcafee/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=crypto-privacy-project-mcafee )That  case is  picking up traction because this bloke is  not denying it. That quack has the audacity to to stand up over PIVX team and threaten them with the suit.  ( https://cointelegraph.com/news/john-mcafee-admits-ghost-copy-pasted-from-pivx-threatens-lawsuits) AFAIK,  bitcointalk declares  any manifestation of plagiarism to be a scamming offense.

I read article about this, he is in trouble! And all his talk is going down the hill, McAfee and his ideas, did anyone expect something else from him! I doubt, he is doing all kinds of shady things in crypto for years, his predictions are disasters, he advertised scam projects for money, and now this? It's time to put McAfee
behind and to not listen to him anymore!
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about investing in Eos on: May 21, 2020, 09:55:36 AM
EOS is not the coin for me. It was interesting at first when it was literally raising a ton of money using the ICO but then it ran into some governance problems and that the project members were favoring some nodes etc. I stopped looking after that.

They really raised a lot of money with their ICO, but we didn't see EOS doing a lot, weak marketing, not so many interested people in EOS like in some other platforms. There are people who like EOS, but I don't see them around so much is what I want to say. EOS community doesn't seem so active, or I am just not involved enough with their platform. The general impression there are better coins than EOS.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: AIR DROPS ! wasting time or not? on: May 21, 2020, 07:05:08 AM

well this is what makes airdrops have very long results, but not all airdrops end up like that because I see that some airdrops can be distributed in a very short time, so I think airdrops can be done when it's not too busy meaning it works when it's at time wants to rest so it won't waste time.
but it seems quite rare there is an airdrop like that. however, I reduced my activity to get airdrops and tried other things. however, if the airdrop is really promising, and doesn't require excessive tasks like verification of KYC and others, I might follow it. waste of time or not, I guess it depends on how you consider it.

Airdrops are just a way for the project to draw some attention. To give people some insight into the project, wallet, transaction, if it's listed people can try to trade it. But many airdrops are just scams, they take your info and give you worthless tokens for that. For me airdrops are ok if the project is ok, I do a quick research before I join.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The list of bounty projects that end in a scam on: May 20, 2020, 05:35:56 PM
Blinked token, VTOS social network token, and couple others I can't remember, but for these two for sure, I lost time participating in their bounties and they just disappeared before the end of ICO. This list of bounty scams will be very long list if we list all scam bounties. In case we add scam airdrops we will need pages and pages to list all of them, it will be hard work for nothing, pages of shame to remind us about our mistakes.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: May 20, 2020, 04:36:12 AM
In my opinion, projects based on the covid pandemic to attract interest are quite repugnant, their goals are almost not good and newbies shouldn't invest in them. The top coin is always a great choice for everyone, newbies can be assured of it.

If it's good for old and experienced members it's good for newbies too. It's not possible to be good just for newbies, as they start from the beginning with already established coins and learning about them they have more chances to learn about what happened before, how to avoid traps, how to check some project. The best thing in crypto is probably the one where each of us is free to decide in which project to support, with time or money, or with both if you really believe in.
189  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin exceed 20k this year like in 2017? on: May 19, 2020, 11:42:14 AM
I can't say it is a full form.
It didn't even go back there.
Unlike the 12k-13k mark it lasted for months before it goes back down.
20k lasted for what? Days?

I won't expect too much right now if I were you. You can see in this forum, the situation.
There are more expectations for atcoins rather than bitcoin even if it just went after a halving.
hoping too much can also frustrate us. however, I think if there is a price increase for bitcoin, then it might be bigger than last year's highest price increase. but, I'm still quite doubtful that the price of bitcoin can reach $ 20k. indirectly, the price of bitcoin can reach a new ATH if it reaches this price this year. but honestly, it's very difficult.

It's difficult, but we expect that to happen! This or next year, nobody knows when we will see the bull run. It's what we waiting for, and we try to accumulate more before it starts because when it starts most of the good coins will cost more! For us it's a profit, depending on how many coins we managed to accumulate. There's no single person on this forum who doesn't believe that bull run is coming.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta is dead, long live the ForkDelta on: May 19, 2020, 07:02:58 AM
Volume was my biggest issue with those sites when I used to use them but that has changed. There are too many exchanges that have come out since the inception of said exchanges, and that resulted in them losing business to competitors.

Volume and the prices on ether and fork delta are low, and because of that many don't go there. I sold some tokens there, and that wasn't a good move. I thought I will not be able to sell them and I did that there for some very low price after that token got listed on another exchange at a higher price.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this what's preventing wide-spread adoption? on: May 18, 2020, 09:24:49 AM
There could be multiple reasons for blockchain is not hitting yet main stream adoption levels but one prime reason must be lack of awareness. Most business are awaiting for "reviews" from others before adopting blockchain technology even they are well aware of it. So, other than lack of awareness, fear factor to adopt new technology is playing a major preventing role here. It will take more time as we cannot expect technological revolutions to happen in lightning speed.

In my opinion, nothing is preventing wide-spread adoption of blockchain technology. Yes, I do see it is slowly getting spread everywhere. We must take time to evaluate blockchain technology to fix all its pitfalls because directly implementing it into high level/sensitive business might end up in disasters. So, slow and steady will win here as well.

I believe in multiple reasons too, but probably the main reason is that majority of people don't know about cryptocurrencies, and many more do not use any cryptocurrency! I think that small business should start this practice and people needs to follow, if that happens with many people government regulations can't hold long! Power is in the people, not in few people, when we unite and overcome our differences we will have a mass
adoption.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will You Start Buying Again on: May 17, 2020, 05:26:11 PM
Same as every here said, I'm only back in the game when the hype from halving is over. At least for a few weeks to stabilize the market but I'm also open in case there is some clear signal of the uptrend.

This little rise is nothing, in the next years, we can expect to see a bull run, that will be as the one in 2017. Until that time we need to accumulate more and more, will you wait for another dip, or you will buy now and in dip again depends on your financial situation, but what is important to have some bags for next bull run! Will it be a bag with top coins or some new coins, it's up to you to choose the best you know, or you can follow others!
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheating or Not? on: May 17, 2020, 11:52:32 AM
if cheating seems like it might not be if KYC is for the good of a project to avoid people or people who usually take advantage negatively or fraudulently, it can be very helpful for other participants who are genuine or not cheating

I agree this is not cheating. A team can decide to add new rules if they think that with new rules they can have a better project and more devoured followers and users. It's on them to add new regulations if they think it's good for the project, it's on us to welcome new rules or to quit because we don't like them. But anyway if project is good it will continue to exist and it will attract people who can respect new rules that can contribute to success of the project.

195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: May 15, 2020, 11:30:27 AM
I don't know if ripple can reach that high, to say some fact ripple has a big problem with its max supply, honestly it's way too huge, burn feature is needy here, I did heard that ripple wants to implement smart contract too, that can boost price in future if there is enough interest

max supply is totally irrelevant...you could say that BTC has supply of 2100000000000000 satoshis and it cant go up, because omg, look at that number
Of course, max price IS dependable on supply, but in XRP case, its also dependable on use case, and based on adoption, it can go anywhere from 0 to more than $500

With most coins who use coin burn tactic, its just a way to lure naive people, kind of clever ponzi with built in honeypot

Fun fact, XRP has built in coin burn, its just not fast enough for people who want to use "find ponzi, invest, get out on time" type of investors

Max supply is relevant, the same as it's relevant who holds the biggest bag! Max price always depends on uses cases, adoption, and we can say for every coin that it can go from 0 to $10k (the price of Bitcoin) in the right circumstances!
Ripple is struggling to hold this position, talking about $5 or $500 dollars is impossible without achieving half a dollar! And looks like ripple is far from that.
196  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 15, 2020, 07:25:03 AM
Of course, we all need to wait for the pandemic to end. This virus has affected the economies of all countries, as the virus has had the greatest impact on the export of goods. Now countries need time to rebuild their economies. I do not advise you to sell all your assets, the market situation should recover soon.

And when will it end? I read about the second wave, more new cases appear! Doctors are blaming people, they say we got too relaxed and hurried to the streets and bars. What countries need to do is to let us live and work, to cut taxes, so people can be motivated to spend money. When people start spending money on buying unnecessary things we can see the economy rising again. Add to that traveling, they need to allow air companies to work, so people can travel and spend money on that too. There's no economy if people don't spend money!
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is the best to earn more? airdrop or bounty? on: May 14, 2020, 08:13:51 AM
I'm very familiar with both airdrops and bounties but do not be misleaded, you can earn from both sides, sometimes airdrops pays more than bounties, Bmy.guide bounty pays me 10$ for 4weeks bounty campaign and origin protocol pays me over 100$ reward, better to engage in both

Earning depends on bounty itself, and your rankings on sites! Higher ranked members always earn more, and people with social network profiles with 10k followers!
I agree with you, it's good to engage in both. When I participate in bounty I usually participate in all their airdrops, it's not hard to do that, and that always adds a nice amount of tokens to my wallet! In the meantime everyone should work on boosting their accounts, in that way you can make more money from bounties.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: May 14, 2020, 05:45:53 AM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?
I also think like you because that's the general reality. I have done a lot of projects before, and the worst project will pay me tokens and still sell them at a low price. And now there are so many scam projects and they don't even pay tokens and close the telegram channel. The reason is that the recession and investment volume at ICO or IEO have also decreased significantly, so there are very few good projects now. We have to get used to this or have to look for a new job.

It's why we need to be careful in which bounty we are joining. Now when we know how scam bounties operate, we can use that knowledge and try to do good research before we join! Scam bounties will always be here, even with good research there's no guarantees, with the risk we are promoting some projects and we hope for the best, but the risk is always there, be aware of that and try to not get disappointed if you make a mistake, learn from mistakes and try next time with better preparation.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Deal with worst Market on: May 13, 2020, 09:40:52 AM
I would personally just keep on buying, look at people who bought at 20k, if they bought at 3k last time we were there, they would have been in profit by now if they invested enough there. That is just what I would do tho, I don't know what you would think smarter.
Anyone who invested in bitcoin when the price was around $20 k just rushed in to make a quick profit after hearing the market buzzing high and all the economic channels were showcasing the biggest rally in a market in a very long time and it was not surprising the swamp of investor to purchase when the price was at an all time high and if someone had a bad experience it is highly unlikely they will stay for a long period and then have the confidence to invest in it again.
The smart way is always entering when the market goes down, but there is no magical time.

Many people rush to buy when the price already topped! It's a mistake many people make, they believe it will continue to rise and they will make incredible profit! But who have experience with how markets do knows that every rise has a top and after that price will have a correction! It happens in every market, in crypto market that happens a lot more than on other markets! One of the reasons why traders love it, excitement is always there.
200  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10k$ Bitcoin is Very much possible for now! on: May 13, 2020, 08:21:38 AM
Although it is very difficult to say. Anything can happen with Bitcoin. From my own thoughts Bitcoin can hit 10K very quickly. This is just my opinion.A few days ago Bitcoin reached 9.5K+ hope this happens very soon bitcoin price is going to good position.

A bigger picture would be the price of Bitcoin in moment of halving! Bitcoin entered in new 4 years period with a 6.25 BTC reward for every block with a higher price than every halving before. Now we can wait for halving to do its thing and in time lower supply will have effects on the price. The majority here knew that we can't expect some miracles right after halving, but in the long term, we are waiting for Bitcoin to make new ATH.
