Nah it's quite impossible thing to happen.With such big supply in short period of time its impossible to touch $5.Even I am doubting Will Ripple touch All time high ever again?

We've seen what XRP is capable of the last time, it almost hit $5 so 2 years from that time, there's a lot of improvement already so I would say XRP could rise up and make a new ATH, however, we can never tell when it's going to happen, holding the coin for now is the best strategy to do.

For this ripple need huge volume and ripple price if it $1 gain big holder will start to dump surely. the supply of this coin is 99,990,976,125  and most of the coin owner is a team member. So I have doubt it can reach $5 , You can do regular trade with this coin but for hold, I don't support this coin.

Why, because just 2-3 years ago Ripple reached a price of about $3.7, so I think that if there is a new strong market growth, as in 2017, perhaps XRP and can reach a price of $5, it is only a matter of time.

The only honour on ripple in this market is its position on the coinmarketcap and the size of its market. The CEO had faced more accusation on the sell off in the past few months and investors are very worried and losing confidence, the dumping had also continue due to this news. Some are moving to ethereum as alternative even with ethereum disappointing position in the bear market. These responses dont look favorable for coin price that contend with ethereum in the market for the second position for some weeks

Ripple (XRP) has immense potential due to its availability/utility, and "widespread" adoption.

It only went up in the first place due to the bull-run from BTC - almost all cryptocurrencies will follow.

Moreover, with the BTC halving event, inflation and fluctuations will be rarer moving forward.

The only way now for Ripple to increase (independently) is somehow for an sudden increase in capitalisation (people buying into XRP through exchanges from Fiat, BTC, ETH , ERC20 tokens) or, very unlikely, the burning of tokens in circulation.

For a project that is gunning for large scale adoption by the public, it is unlikely that that would happen.

You just have to project long and just keep your tokens safe.

Maybe one day, you would see the returns you are expecting.

If you had said ripple is a centralized coin and has more interest from federal banks which will drive its adoption to 5USD/coin, I would have taken you serious. You said otherwise but then, central banks and governments had rather develop their own cryptos than adopt someones private business on blockchain just like China is doing

Max supply is relevant, the same as it's relevant who holds the biggest bag! Max price always depends on uses cases, adoption, and we can say for every coin that it can go from 0 to $10k (the price of Bitcoin) in the right circumstances!
Ripple is struggling to hold this position, talking about $5 or $500 dollars is impossible without achieving half a dollar! And looks like ripple is far from that.
