261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Korea Gov. will ban all kinds of ICO on: October 10, 2017, 01:39:23 PM
It's north Korea or south Korea? If it's north, then nothing matter.
funny if you are serious about it mate, n. korea doesn't allowed anything inside their jurisdiction so its south who's implementing this things mate
as they seen that china's moves to help their people not being scam so they need to stop or make some rules regarding to ico projects. maybe we
will see more countries to do the same.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 by 2018 is looking now like a possibility on: October 09, 2017, 01:09:01 PM
It seems to me that people have turned bitcoin in God and now pray to him in the hope that it will enrich all. Can't all be rich. It is beyond the power even of God. Why do you believe in such optimistic forecasts? The growth of bitcoin 10 times in one year is unlikely. It seems to me that if the price held at about $ 5,000 is already a very good result.
well if we are really aiming why not aim high as we are seeing how the coin is really climbing better to stay close and look at is really making great moves,
bitcoin can possibly reach that amount we don't know yet when will be the time for that to hit the target but maybe a year or two and we will all enjoy.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: October 09, 2017, 12:07:53 PM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.

I just heard bitcoin this early 2016 and i regret bigtime for not believing on it. I'm supposed to be earning money by now. How i wish i can turn back time.
that's a big mistake for us mate I was able to collect inside faucets back then where btc are just for free just by doing some claimed, I was just playing
around and use those money that I earned to play gambling every time I got some good numbers of claims now I'm starting all over again to collect
as much that I can to save for my future goal.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS MINING-RX470-4G on: October 09, 2017, 11:51:45 AM
so i should not fall for the whole dual bearing and nice words?
also i was told although they are said to be dust resistent, the mining cards come with a shorter warranty....

so is this also extra reason to say , rather buy powercolor 470 rather than a Asus Mining card ?
I got some Powercolor 570 and I'm only getting 23 Mh/s I'm not sure if this can bring something when eth went high but right now I'm just taking this
so I can hold some eth after this year, I was aiming for Asus before but after reading here I got the idea to keep my gpu and add some more when
I got some extra cash.

266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Confused about upcoming Bitcoin fork on: October 09, 2017, 05:58:51 AM
To get free Bitcoin "gold", one just need to keep Bitcoins in exchange? Like for exemple did Kraken.com last time give Bitcoin Cash to all those who had Bitcoins?

ONLY IF the exchange you are keeping your coins in promises to support the fork and also promises to credit your new coins to you after the fork if you keep coins there. not all exchanges do this so make sure you check it out.
for example i remember asking c-cex about BCH and they said they will not support it so i made a withdrawal.

Quote
Relatively new in this world so don't know what happened in last fork. Or one need to keep them in particular bitcoin wallet to get free gold?

nothing special really. BCH forked from bitcoin and created an altcoin. some people got their BCH tokens out and enjoyed the free money, some others are still holding it because they have hope and some never bothered to claim it.

the "particular wallet" you need to keep your coins to get any futuristic fork new coins will ALWAYS be a wallet that you are the only one who has access to the private keys.
its needed to make sure that the exchange will support the chain, bch before was been supported by most big exchange so everyone that hold btc from
the exchange enjoy the free money, I'm still reading things about this new coins and waiting for exchange to make their stand making sure that if free
btc gold will be distributed I can have mine.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO at $40 within 8th October ███ FEW HOURS LEFT ███ on: October 09, 2017, 05:42:46 AM
I bought 50 NEOs yesterday, now -16% Huh WTF is happening  Undecided?
just hold mate the ico of rpx was done maybe that's the reason those who over buy neo are now dumping the coin to make sure that they hold btc before the
fork happen as we knew that btc gold can be received as a reward when you have btc inside your wallet, but as I read another coin project will use neo platform
aside from rpx.
268  Economy / Services / Re: ⚡⚡⚡ PrivCoin Signature & Avatar Campaign ⚡ ⚡⚡ on: October 09, 2017, 05:02:39 AM
Hi there i just want to know if i'm accepted in your signature campaign . i applied yesterday and still waiting for approvement from the manager

I didn't accept you since this round is going to end today and no way you can make 30 posts in a day.

Any possibilities to check and count posts manually ? I have made 39 posts since I worn privcoin signatures (from 29th Sept to today) but bot shows only 27 posts as mods did thrash few topics. Any consideration will be greatly helpful. Thank you.

I'll see what I can do.

Hey, i am also facing same problem just now i checked my post count and it is showing that i made only 24 post but if you check my posting history then you will find that after my application i have made 32 post and in the Enrolled users in my name post count is 1108 but in overview it is showing starting post count is 1110, but both are wrong if you check my posting history you will know it till now i have made 32 post. 269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stolen ETH from myetherwallet.com on: October 06, 2017, 04:56:43 PM
very alarming better to make sure to double check the website hackers are just around the corner waiting to attack in any chance that they've got, better to
make sure everything are correct before hitting the send option, I will wait for any updates regarding to this matter as I have some token from my wallet
inside MEW.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY OWNER IS HIDING on: October 06, 2017, 04:44:33 PM
Actually, I've been thinking about this for a long time now. Facts have it that Bitcoin was created by own Satoshi Nakamoto or so and since he did that he has gone underground and has been hidden. Now I'm wondering, I made an invention that is now worth so much money in the world and am still hiding, what could have been the reasons for his action??

Satoshi nakamoto is only the one who invent of bitcoin and there are group that really owned it.In my own opinion satoshi is hiding because he wants a simple life and avoid threat with his life and his family because people think he is so rich because of the bitcoin. Who will wants a miserable life? no one right?
or maybe satoshi nakamoto itself are groups of people whos hiding from the concept of btc, possible that they just wanted to live a normal life and enjoy
all the luxuries that bitcoin development brings them, its been so many years and someone tried to claimed being satoshi nakamoto but its not been
proven yet.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a beginner, I want to start trading. What should i do? on: October 06, 2017, 04:39:51 PM
I don't recommend newbies to jump into trading immediately. True there is money in cryptocurrency but you can lose it all in an instant. If you have the patience, invest in only BTC and watch your investment grow. Trading immediately will be risking it all.
exactly, there's no assurance inside trading so better to do our home work before jumping in, trading have its own pro and cons so better to learned it first
before you proceed, many newcomers are been eaten alive and loses a lots of money because they thinks that trading can make them rich and didn't bothered to look for possible risk and study it.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: October 06, 2017, 04:00:11 PM
Nothing will happen to banks even if Bitcoin becomes more dominant in the future because to tell you the truth transactions fees are only the secondary income of Banks, what their main income comes from interest being paid by people who are borrowing money from them and these involves people and large corporations. Aside from that they are the ones who also handle the IPOs of several companies who wants to enter the stock market. As you can see banks will still have a good future. Banks can quickly adapt to any threats that they detect.
Right. Banks cannot be affected a lot because of bitcoin and they will become adaptable on the changes that going to happen because of the exixt of crytocurrency that is use for fast, more convenient and less transaction fees. Many people will still choose banks to save their money because it is safe even less profit to get not like bitcoin that can be double the profit in investment.
most people still haven't got a chance learning how crypto currency works so that's the reason they will still use banks fro saving their money but who knows maybe after several years this concept will be gather enough attentions and people will start thinking to take advantage of this investment so instead of just saving money inside your bank better to try saving it with bitcoin.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a rig, best GPU today? on: October 06, 2017, 03:43:56 PM
it's better to wait now i read that the new 1070 ti is going to be released soon, should be like a 1080 but cheaper perhaps, consumption look the same on paper but for mining maybe it's different
that's great if we will see 1070 ti which is much cheaper I think I will go for that instead of 1080 ti which is almost 1k$ from where I live, I got some rx 570 and I can say that its quite good but profitability wise it will take some time before I can reach my roi so I will wait instead for that new NVidia thanks mate for sharing that info.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates Praised the Bitcoins on: October 06, 2017, 03:37:45 PM
I know that this video is already circulating maybe a year ago but due to what is happening right now with a lots of negative things which pull the value down recently we might be needed some good and reliable source to gather new investors attentions we are talking about bill gates and the name itself can bring more followers and new investors the next thing would be felt by us whos using and investing waiting to see more progress and more adoptions.
275  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: October 06, 2017, 03:32:39 PM
I'm using our local exchange wallet called Coins.ph, though it only accepts Bitcoin but can you use it to pay bills, cash in/out, buy load, convert, and check Bitcoin Prices.
that's an extra services coming out from our local wallet, I also have electrum so just in case that I got some gambling activity I will send it first to electrum
before sending it to coins.ph because of some rules that they implemented I think having also a hard wallet might self securing our investment.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: October 05, 2017, 05:32:15 PM
Of course this is a risk whether you sell or not, but in the end some currencies will be described as garbage and they will lose value, I hope you will not choose one of them
another thing to consider before start mining alts better to understand the road map and the significance of certain project whether if there's a real
uses along the way, holding those that have a great future and adn a good back up dev will assure us to gain much bigger profits while holding our rewards
but the risk still there that we select project that will turned into scam and haven't got any value at the end.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think China has halted the pace of bitcoin reaching new high?? on: October 05, 2017, 05:29:21 PM
Back then it would halt the pace but not anymore has China does not have that much influence has it did, there is just so much uncertainty there and its probably flagged unfavourable but with countries such as Japan giving cryptocurrencies support I guess we have a new ambassador to push the price to new heights.
after what they did and see how they got some influence for a short time, i guess we or many crypto believers already made a wiser decision not
being trapped with such movement, china brings some downfall but looking now i can say that there's big players behind who will not allow the
value to fall deeply and begin to show that target will be achieved it will just taking some time because of this china issue.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on: October 05, 2017, 05:10:06 PM
I don't have any hopes for this fork. This is just another marketing happening, I'm more likely to invest in altcoins that will have been dumped for this before they go back up.

That's the reason why this may not even get to the value of bitcoin cash IMHO. They are not going to spread/distribute the coins for free and that may prove to be a reason for the lack of support because I haven't seen/heard of any exchanges/wallets to have said anything about supporting/listing bitcoin gold. Just another way to make money by those who were not satisfied with BCH and are interested to board the train this way. They are hyping it hard just to get the attention of the market to spike it up once listed.
is there any significance that this fork will help btc original to gain more value? i really wanted to know since i was mistakenly understand how bcc works and i'm now confuse why another btc will live as btc-gold, market and newbies will really confuse about this and for sure it will be hang along road same thing with bch.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcons are just empty numbers on the internet without any value or legal power on: October 05, 2017, 04:59:09 PM
I think it's the same with cash, if no one wants to use it then the money is the same as paper can be worthless. different again with gold because gold is no price is not the same as cash. while the price of money in clay from his nominal writing.
In fact it is depending on the interest of the people. some time when we take interest in some thing its value start  increasing, but when we ignore it then it also lose it value, and i think we have very good examples from our daily life. For example if we study Doge it was in its peak position when people were taking interest in it, but later one due to lack of the interest of the people Doge price start decreasing and now it is about to die.
the first thing that you said i agree with that, its how the people accept it, whose speculations that OP raises are already been ask before hand, we are now in the stage where peoples interest are already been gathered the value of this great investment  already been supported by silent businesses and yet a lots of establishment are also setting their business integrating with btc.
280  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: October 05, 2017, 04:21:03 PM
We need both crypto currencies as well as regular currency to co exist at the same time because there are a lot  of transactions that take place through regular currency compared to crypto currencies. Also Many places crypto currencies are not accepted so it becomes mandatory to use regular money. So we cannot total say crypto currency is better than regular money as both type of currencies have their own advantages and disadvantages.
if crypto will be accepted in the most useful system i'm sure it will be lesser expense for the government since they don't need to recreate fiat
money instead of digital currency but due to the fact that government will be hard to convince that crypto can act the same rule as fiat and
the decentralization would be the hard topic how government can control the digital money.
