1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on sport = gambling? on: July 14, 2016, 06:35:55 AM
even if you are winning in your bets on sports it is still gambling because there is a risk involved and you will lose someday even if you have had a good winning streak with no loss.
that is how gambling works you take a risk with your money and then if you are lucky you win and if not you lose, and sports betting makes no difference.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling for Good, think for your loved ones on: July 14, 2016, 06:31:47 AM
Good story to share OP, I did suffered a lot in Gambling too, and I am still finding a way to quit...

Think for your family, your parents, your loved ones, your wife or kids < this always do when I lost, but won't be happened when you are gambling especially when you are winning.... Sad

you just have to limit yourself to do less and less gambling each day until you quit it for good. it means making smaller bets and having less amount of bankroll to work with then reducing the time you spend on gambling each day. if you quit suddenly you will come back again.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: July 14, 2016, 06:26:59 AM
Anybodt seen XEM fluctuated last 2 days ago? It is like it broke down to 1100 satoshi then came back to 1500. Profits came to those who patiently wait.

XEM has long history. So it has some loyal users. But it would be better if the coin can have some actual usage.

Yes that is true. But seen now it is getting a big support from many users. This altcoin have been introduced by a friend to me. He did manage to acquire some profit out of it. So I grabbed the chance and might get some also.
However, I don't make money in short time, I use to buy altcoins that has a potential future as I am not a trader so I prefer to wait for a long time to see the great effect of my altcoin investment, the price of waves now has been decreasing so it is good to buy.

interesting way, but i can't agree about the profitablity of this method of trading altcoins. because what i have seen so far in the altcoin market is that most of the altcoins don't really have a good future so they may not even be alive in a year or so. that is why i think it is not a good idea to hold them for a long time.
1484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the longest you have gone without checking the price of Bitcoin online? on: July 14, 2016, 06:22:15 AM
For me, it was about 3 months- I had too much work assignments plus kids were unwell.

Usually I check once every two days but the recent events (halving, Brexit etc) have increase the frequency of checking to at least once a day.

i also was super busy a while ago that i couldn't even open bitcointalk or even post but i kept checking bitcoin price even then.
i think the longest time i didn't check the price was a couple of days at most.
1485  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: July 14, 2016, 06:19:04 AM
so far i have only bought small amounts of bitcoin over a period of time, becaus i believe in bitcoin' future and i think it can be worth a lot more in a couple of years so by then i want to hold a decent amount of bitcoin so that i can spend it when it becomes global.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: July 12, 2016, 02:56:49 AM
it is not a sin in my opinion and it is not even a sin in my religion although that doesn't stop it from being legal according to the law. the government and the law seems to think differently about gambling than regular people do.
1487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Girls also gamble? on: July 12, 2016, 02:51:09 AM
i am sure that girls also play gambling games and i have seen them gamble too, that is why i am sure about it. but their numbers are far less than boys gambling and for every fifty boy there is one girl gambling.
1488  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2016, 02:48:48 AM
plans is to get rich through bitcoins is to buy atleast 100 bitcoins very soon because the price of bitcoins is little low and this is the right time to invest in bitcoins market.

So you are basically saying that you will spend $65,000 on buying 100 BTC? If that's really the case and you're not trolling, then you'll have yourself an amazing long term store of value and investment. Just don't invest your money in cloud mining or other shady services just because they advertise with high returns.

In our country, if you have that amount of money, you are already considered rich. So you do not have to do anything anymore because you are already rich with that amount of money. All you have to do is maintain that amount or grow it little by little each day and you are good.

may i ask where you live sir?
because i live in a third world country but even in here someone with $65000 (equivalant value in our currency) is not considered rich. you would only be a middle class or meduim rich.

1490  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: July 12, 2016, 02:40:26 AM
I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

my believe in bitcoin is still the same as before back when i started using bitcoin and it is only getting stronger every day that passes by. that is why i invest in bitcoin in the first place.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: July 09, 2016, 06:35:18 AM
i wish i was rich from gambling, although it is not because of lack of trying. i have been trying to make profit from gambling but i come to the conclusion that it is not actually possible to make consistant profit from gambling and it is not good for long term.
1492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Incoming third bubble..? on: July 09, 2016, 06:31:39 AM
there will surely be another bubble for bitcoin and this time it can even be so much bigger than anytime before it because this time the market is so much ready and there are a lot more investors and demand that will shoot the price to above $2000
1493  Other / Archival / Re: Where you get Bitcoin ? on: July 09, 2016, 06:28:23 AM
i used faucets for a while and gathered some small amounts of bitcoin which was really just dust in my wallet but now i am doing signature campaign which is also small payments but is bigger than faucet.

1494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Are Just Too Stupid to Use Bitcoin Right Now on: July 09, 2016, 06:22:43 AM
It's not that people are too stupid to use btc right now, I think most folks aren't really ready for the level of security required to be your own bank. People are kind of haphazard because of ach; if you can prove your money was taken fraudulently, usually you can get the transaction reversed. This makes people very cavalier about keeping a tight ship, once it's gone in Bitcoin, it's gone. I notice the people hemorrhage personal details on social media that can be used to socially engineer one's way into their accounts via customer service. No one believes in privacy anymore Sad

this is a main reason folks are not ready for btc.

most people i know have no clue about even he most basic computer security. and facebook... it is the best thing since sliced bread to them and their whole lives are on it. combine them and *poof* no more btc

you don't really need to know everything about security and bitcoin in order to use bitcoin, you can always use a web wallet if you are a newbie or don't want to learn about it. a service like coinbase is making things newbie frinedly enough.

1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: July 09, 2016, 05:47:03 AM
i think yes you can invest in betting casino but after halving. let the halving comes and then you have better opportunities to invest in casino but keep it in your mind that you should invest in a limit otherwise you will lose your own bitcoin.
We don't need the halving to invest in casino because we could still earn base on the amount we invested, we need to consider that casinos as profitable so we will surely make a consistent profit even without the halving.

bitcoin halving has nothing to do with investing it, especially investing bitcoin in casinos that are operating fully in bitcoin and does not change anything about them when the price changes.

this would have been true if the investment were in some business that is bount to fiat not bitcoin.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum ? on: July 09, 2016, 05:43:07 AM
ethereum is kind of a failed project and it has been a very bad investment (or good depending on which side you are on) for a very long time, it has a lot of coins as premine and it makes the price in control of the people holding those coins.
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone have plan to make income on bitcoins :) on: July 09, 2016, 05:40:11 AM

1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the most profitable gambling? on: July 09, 2016, 05:36:54 AM
Many gambling in this world. What is the most profitable gambling ?

if i had to choose among all these different gambling games i would choose betting on sports. because it is not completely based on luck instead you have to know the game and the teams and you can also use the tipsters to get some tips to help you predict the game and win in it.
1500  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: July 09, 2016, 05:31:54 AM
If you are afraid to lose your money, don't invest it in bitcoin.

If you cam afford to lose some of the money, or think it can increase even further, by all means invest a part of m your money in bitcoin.

I totally agree with you. It's voluntary and open to those who are willing to take a risk and earn. There's no reason why the author would not believe in bitcoins since it has been experienced and loved by many. But if he will not believe then its up to him. Even if he don't want to believe bitcoin will still continue to grow and more people will be using bitcoins everyday.

but if you are always afraid to lose your money then you can never get anywhere and you should never invest in anything not only bitcoin because any kind of investment comes with a different type of risk that you have to manage and accept it before going in.
