Another 1/2 trillion difficulty projection via the genesis block calculator?  Yawn...  Sure.   Whatever.  I especially like the ones with difficulty projected to exceed 200 trillion.  Never going to happen.

Even 1/2 trillion difficulty is wrong - people will just continue paying $2k electric bills to mine coins worth $124, right ??   Not likely, Nem...

Unfortunately TGB doesn't provide the ability to do anything except constant growth rate and we have been at a monthly hash rate increase of 80% for the last 6 months.

Don't get me wrong, I also agree that the hash rate increase will taper, but I don't think projecting 80% is ludicrous.

HashFast - I'm trying to participate in this sale, but BitStamp will take 2-5 days to accept US deposits. Is there a way to provide intention to you guys and get the sale price?

Read the terms of service.  You can pay later, IIRC it was up to 14 days later, but it may have been moved to 30 days within the date of invoice.

Okay, but when I "checkout" it says i have to pay in an hour or my order is cancelled!

Hi,
I'm considering purchasing some shares in the GB - I see that the price is $69/share, but I have a few questions:

* the payment address is a BTC address. I'm trying to calculate out the total pricing, but it would help to know how many BTC you consider $69 to be? Or do you accept USD as a payment method?

* If HashFast is unable to deliver at all, does the 1.5% restocking fee for refunds apply?

* I see that there are 26 people involved in the management of this - is this a formal company with another purpose as well? This question is really more geared towards what is the exposure if a few people decide they want to retire from this - who's left?

* Can we visit the equipment if we're in the area?

* What happens if the machine is damaged and considered outside warranty?

* I see the projection is resale in 7 months. If BTC/USD exchange rates increase so that it is still profitable to hang onto the equipment, is the existing hosting arrangement prepared for a "long haul"?

* Will there be any written agreement documenting the co-op?

Thanks for answering my questions - just trying to accept any risk here! Sorry in advance if any are dumb questions.

Is there a way to see lifetime hashes or lifetime uptime? I'm trying to figure out the overall efficiency of my miners and it's difficult because stats are broken apart by coin.

That makes perfect sense. Thanks!

Ok, so I have more news on the 'ADDRESS' vs. 'ADDRESS_worker' issue.

It seems what happens is this:
a) If I funnel 4 blades through 1 stratum/getwork proxy server with 4 different user accounts *, I get the issue where they all stay at difficulty "1".
b) If I funnel 4 blades through 1 stratum/getwork proxy server with the same user account, they'll VARDIFF up to 16.
c) If I use 1 proxy server per blade under 1 user account, everything works fine, and they VARDIFF up to 4 or 8 within a few minutes.

* Actually, I've only tried different workers - don't know yet what will happen with multiple wallet addresses. I'll try that next.

So it seems like somehow the pool doesn't like multiple user accounts coming from a single (IP+Port) endpoint. Other pools also don't really work great with this, e.g. BTCGuild & Slush will ignore the individual user accounts, and just VARDIFF you on the overall endpoint. Eligius is unique though by not adjusting the VARDIFF at all in the single ENDPOINT-multiple users case.

I've worked around it for now, but I am running a free Stratum/Getwork cloud-based proxy currently for BTCGuild + Slush. I'd like to open it up to Eligius, but can't do that if there can't be multiple users per endpoint. Otherwise all my users will get a "1" difficulty.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly is wrong with option c? Is separate accounts per blade a requirement?
167  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: September 20, 2013, 01:37:30 AM
Eligius supports both getwork and stratum. Is it more efficient to set up a stratum proxy for the blade, or go direct to Eligius getwork?

WinTame2012,

On behalf of everyone else who is just checking for updates on Eligius and don't care about you trying to save face on your basic misunderstanding of how CPPSRB works, please just stop trolling here. This thread isn't about you.

Has anyone else had any trouble getting Armory to sign messages? I have it working in Armory and verifying the signature, but can't get My Eligius to accept it.

Did USD -> BTC - very easy, fast and went smoothly. Definitely on my go-to list.

I can log in and see my stats. I usually check periodically throughout the day and haven't had a problem all day, but I am just 1 data point.

It's working again Smiley

Can you mine with an ASIC on SHA256 and GPU on scrypt on the same machine? I tried this, but bfgminer didn't support it.
