Actually you are still quite early.  You may be late to yesterday but your early to tomorrow.  This is not going away.  Consider this, when BTC are $1,000 you'll be able to say I was early.

I'm betting most of the users here will receive theirs before you get yours.  :-)
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many times have you used it? on: February 21, 2013, 10:38:00 PM
So if someone used SD that could be a high ratio.  You ought to factor in transaction size.

Months used * (Total coins sent + Total coins Received) / # Transactions

just a thought
7  Economy / Lending / Re: Best way to get a loan on BTCJam on: February 21, 2013, 10:35:01 PM
Thanks for the feedback.  I'm still not sure if I want to do this or not.  If I do I'll probably stick to funding an upgrade of two the four jalapeños I have on order now, since I can afford to pay that back with no problems if there are delays.  I do have two early Singles orders, I thought about waiting until I can start mining with them.  then I would likely be even further back on the list.

If they ever do anything in Austin or Dallas Texas I'll be there.
10  Economy / Lending / Best way to get a loan on BTCJam on: February 20, 2013, 04:34:37 PM
I've been toying with the idea of getting a loan to upgrade 1 or more of my jalapeños.  I have two Singles on order already.

What's a reasonable rate for a loan.

Let me guess lenders will say 50% and borrowers will say 2%.  Is there something realistic?
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50miner question: how to enable CPU mining on: February 20, 2013, 04:31:22 PM
Application software on Integrate Circuit.

There was CPU Mining which was replaced with GPU that 100x faster

Then there was FPGA mining that is more energy efficient than GPU.

Now ASIC which is about 50x faster than GPU and FPGA will render both a waste of energy.

My suggestion is that you read up on ASIC and not buy any GPU's.

Look at www.butterflylabs.com

If you haven't read that blog noted above, read it.  there are some other good posts on that site as well.

Out of curiosity what do you bring to the table?  Other wanting to build something like an ASIC?  Do you have a couple of million dollars to fund the venture?  Programmers and Electronic Engineers do not come cheap, nor do the facilities to produce such a device.  Just look at Butterfly labs, Avalon and bASIC.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Predicing btc to fiat stabilization ? on: February 13, 2013, 08:51:27 AM
If there a person could earn BTC only and buy everything with BTC, then it would be stable the other currencies would not be stable.

Consider

USD->CAD
USD->EUR

Or other currencies.

Are you building the next ASIC model?
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Please read... all miners! on: February 13, 2013, 08:16:06 AM
Isn't the fact that you are mining a kin to pooling your effort?  I'm just saying :-)

I kind of like the slogan: Power on the ASIC.

Damn it seems like its been forever.
16  Economy / Lending / Re: 35 BTC Loan Contract (ATC777 and BTCInvest) on: February 13, 2013, 08:07:57 AM
When the prices drops (if it does) then you'll be the one on top.
17  Economy / Lending / Re: BTCJam on: February 13, 2013, 08:02:34 AM
So I guess asking for suggestions of what to look for is out of the question?

19  Economy / Lending / BTCJam on: February 13, 2013, 07:55:58 AM
I joined BTCJam recently because I figured once my mining equipment came in I might do some lending as a way to earn a little extra.

What has been your experience with BTCJam both from a lending and borrowing side?
