bump - still available
82  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 715 remaining on: June 27, 2013, 05:06:45 PM
avalon chips are out of order...so does the order still apply?

They have always been "out of stock". The 10 week lead time means they are being manufactured before Avalon ships them out. The order still applies

True, they have always been "out of stock" since there IS a lead time. However, as far as I can recall, there used to be a "Buy" button on that page that allowed you to "pre-order". chips. That isn't there any longer.

If you would travel 1 page back in this thread, you will find this...

Sooo I guess this means those of us in Batch 6 won't be getting them?

Found an explanation:

Avalon shop has some maintenance or so.

"We do however need to bring the site down within the next few hours to upgrade for trade-in orders. So if you are running into problems ordering chips and/or viewing orders please do not panic, we expect this update to finish by later tonight ( EST time. )"
83  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] PAJKA.BOND - 100% PPS 3Mhash mining bond - with free ASIC upgrade on: June 27, 2013, 02:37:57 PM
SOS, please leave the PAJKA topic. You have no more business here, you said it yourself.
Close the door on your way out.

I placed him on ignore.  This thread has been very pleasant ever since.
84  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 715 remaining on: June 27, 2013, 02:36:12 PM
Maybe I'm too far ahead, but does anybody know how to get these units working once we get them? I mean, I have CGminer running and all, but I don't really know how to apply BKKCoins firmware for the Klondike project to CGminer under Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS. Is there some how-to available somewhere?

Since steamboat has a "testing" option, i'm sure the information to get these products working will be readily available once the units start shipping.

My experience from buying other custom asic products leads me to believe this forum will always have all info readily available.
85  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 3,197 remaining on: June 24, 2013, 07:00:47 PM
I expect there will be a lot of people looking for 1.33 BTC loans in the loan section soon.

For US residents I recommend coinbase, you might just be able to verify your bank account and withdraw in 5 days.  I am not affiliated with them in any way (nor am I a US resident).

Coinebase will take 3 days to verify account and then another 6-7 days afterwards to show BTC in your account.

...We still expect the current back order backlog to be cleared by the middle of September or so...

The implication of this statement is that by "middle of September or so" a customer could order a device on BFL's site, and the product presumably could be in said customer's hands in a few days, depending on shipping method. That's what I am reading here, if in fact the "current back order backlog" is cleared by then. Is this what Josh is saying?

The way I read it, yes.
87  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Ann] US based Avalon ASIC chips and assembly: 3,333 remaining on: June 23, 2013, 03:40:30 PM

The deadline for Assembly confirmation and payment is June 30th, 2013. We apologize for the short notice. The timeline for this project is very tight, and parts must be ordered quickly to ensure delivery before the assembly date.

Is this deadline for all batchs, or just the first batch?
88  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Should you Cancel your Jalapeno Order? - This might help to decide on: June 21, 2013, 01:35:33 AM
A 5Gh/s will make about $1000 between today and the end of the year.

I would love to think this is true. :-D

Post pictures publicly.  Tell us details about the hardware.

You have given us absolutely no information about your product.

90  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] PAJKA.BOND - 100% PPS 3Mhash mining bond - with free ASIC upgrade on: June 21, 2013, 01:16:53 AM
That is a very low price, it will probably go up when it is more established.
No need to sell now though, as soon as the equipment comes the prices will be about the same and prices should rise together.

This is my thought as well.  But to be honest, you can never count on reasonable things to happen in the world of bitcoin.  If the right group of kids users finds this bond and sees the word ASIC in the description, they might bid it up to 3BTC for no apparent reason.  Also, on the flip side of that, if the right group of kids bond owners flips out over difficulty rise, they might sell off their holdings to bring the value down to 0.000001BTC.

I would not be surprised if I see both of these scenarios happen within a an hour from each other.

Disclaimer - I currently own PAJKA bonds.

Holy crap, I hope this mystery is solved.  To think someone specifically targeted the miner and broke into a home to steal it?  That's crazy.

I am also in the north DFW area, so I will keep an eye out.

96  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] 2 BFL Chip credits - 0.01 BTC on: June 19, 2013, 05:43:40 PM
Not sure how many of these are actually selling.  If they are selling, I have no idea what the actual price has been. I will start with a price of 0.05BTC each 0.01BTC for both.  Each credit is worth $25 off a BFL asic chip.  I feel 80% discount 0.01BTC for both is a fair price.  Sorry, but I only have 2 chip credits as I am a poor bitcoin miner that was only willing to risk $150.

All questions and offers must be received in this thread.  Please do not PM me any offers or questions.  I do not trust sellers that claim offers from PMs that wish to remain anonymous.  Let's be transparent here.

Escrow services are allowed in this transaction, buyer to pay any escrow fees.

EDIT-

Credit vouchers have been sold and transferred.
97  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling $250 Newegg Gift Card (15% DISCOUNT) on: June 19, 2013, 05:29:58 PM
I have never owned a Newegg gift card before.  Would I be correct to assume there is information on the card that would allow me to confirm the amount of money that is loaded on the card?

Edited to add more questions:

Does the gift card have an expiration date?

Will the physical card be mailed to the buyer?

I hope you don't get screwed out of that high auction price.  I lost faith in eBay instantly once I started looking for bitcoin related items there.

I understand this to be a positive change.  Though I lurk way more than I post, oh well.  Its not like i'm trying to make a bunch of money on here or anything.
