it never shows a hashrate for me

i have 423 valid unpaid shares so i assume it's working  Huh

Hashrates are averaged over 25 minutes. So if you have no shares (or only a few) It will show 0 kb/s. If you see unpaid shares, that means your shares are being accepted by the server.

just joined and chucked my 750Khash LTC rig on to FTC - not showing a Khash in the options but showing accepted shares? is there a time delay before telling me how fast i'm mining?

See above. If it still shows 0, let me know.

left it running over night - generated a whole load of shares but no hashrate shown

Ok, time for a bit of showing off my rig:

5x Sapphire Radeon 7970
3750kHash/sec Litecoin
and blowing the heat right out of the window!

A thing of beauty!

I've seen a few pics today where it looks like there are fans blowing into the exhasts of the GPUs? OR are they pulling the hot air?

567  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Issues mining after driver update? on: May 20, 2013, 09:28:06 AM
well it was mining BTC fine before the update... now its mining LTC as it works but i did want to mine BTC as thats what it was mining Wink

whats the best way to reset the drivers and SDK? uninstall it and roll back to 13.1 i assume?
568  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Issues mining after driver update? on: May 17, 2013, 09:44:00 PM
bizarrely enough, using the same hardware for mining LTC is working fine with CGMINER...

i assume that there is something i need to fix?

if it makes any difference i am running Microsoft Security Essentials as my AV and i have UAC disabled.
569  Bitcoin / Mining support / Issues mining after driver update? on: May 17, 2013, 08:13:38 PM
Hi guys,

my mining PC is also my gaming rig, it started crashing when watching youtube videos and i noticed that the driver was old so i upgraded to the newest 13.4 but now my miner (50miner and CGminer) will not run.

PC:
Q6600, HD5870 and HD5850.

Any suggestions on what to do?

running Windows 7.

I've uninstalled the drivers and software, run driversweeper and manually installed the gfx drivers again...

I have been trying to find a way to buy LTC for £GBP and this seems near impossible to do on the current exchanges. Why is cryptocurrency so tough to trade when it comes to £GBP? People don't seem to have the same problem when using $USD.

how much are you willing to pay for LTC<>GBP?
571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Litecoin Pool - Seeking miners on: May 15, 2013, 04:06:48 PM
At the moment.. nothing. The pleasure of helping out the community Smiley and hopefully some of you will donate to the costs of the server, which is my only concern.

As long as there is a small percentage of people that donate and it covers the base costs of the server, then the fee will always stay at 0%.

sounds good Wink

it might be worth putting a 'donations vs running costs' comparison somewhere on the site Wink

They all look like rip-offs of other brand logos.

this

But if you have to select, then the first, starwars style looks best

i agree with you. star wars is best BUT when looking at a logo for a company it needs to be UNIQUE and eye catching - if its a blatent 'steal/copy' froma nother company - what impression does this give prospective clients/customers.

The KISS aproach works best, try just using GJP - or a unique icon - imagine an app on your PC/Phone - what would the logo be?

579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it worth installing a 6850 into my mining rig? on: May 13, 2013, 09:44:58 PM
Long term you'd be better with a 7950 if you have the cash to invest. It uses less power so cheaper electricity bills.

I wish i had a spare £250 available!

The whole reason i started mining was that i saw an opportunity to make some money - literally Wink
