222  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why Isn't Bitmit more popular? on: March 27, 2013, 09:34:40 PM
I think there are def. quite a few things they could tweek and improve upon. As much as I hate to say it, small stuff that eBay has already figured out. It really is awesome though, and I think once they have an API to automate things they will have a lot more items listed. I know I will be listing more.
223  Economy / Goods / [WTS] ~11.5k Magic the Gathering Cards on: March 27, 2013, 09:31:27 PM
I have a bunch of MtG Cards and am looking to sell them. Before I post them on craigslist and stuff, I thought I would post them here.

There are ~11.5k cards, most are common / uncommon from Zendikar (2 boxes). There is 1/2 box of M10 and 1 row of Worldwake.
You can see a spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkfOxwGqr0pRdHdsOXprdmtCMjQ5OFVSQ1JlWTlRVkE&usp=sharing but it is not totally accurate. For one, WWK cards are not counted, and I already ran into an issue where I thought I had a card(s) because it was listed, but didnt actually have it. The exception is that the ones with numbers under the Kingdom column have been counted and verified. Even though Card Kingdom does not want most of my cards, I can still get ~$190 selling to them. If you are interested, please post or PM an offer.

226  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would a Bitcoin ATM be an ATM or a Vending Machine? on: March 25, 2013, 06:36:34 PM
I think it would be a vending machine.

Probably could be argued as that, but it would still be trading stored values and be subject to FinCEN regulation if that's what you're getting at.

Wasnt really trying to go anywhere. Just a random off topic question.

I think it would be a vending machine.

Makes sense, thank you.

So comparing these two pages:

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
Why is LTC rated in kHash/s and BTC in MHash/s? Is this because of difficulty?
232  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Amazon Gift Cards, iTunes, Microsoft Points, PSN Cards - other Game Cards on: March 22, 2013, 04:56:52 AM
Sorry, I rushed into doing this with PayPal a few years back. Went to $30k/mo in sales in less than 2 months, and ended up getting burned over 9.5k because of it. Now Im gun shy.
233  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Amazon Gift Cards, iTunes, Microsoft Points, PSN Cards - other Game Cards on: March 22, 2013, 04:29:32 AM
looking for around 225$ amazon, my usual trader has gone on hiatus.

Can I think about this? lol
I have no doubt I will get to this point someday (and probably not far from now), but I am still fairly new to selling with BTC and this seems like a quick jump.

For LTC gpu's are now usable. Cgminer and Reaper are capable of mining LTC on gpu's

Do they still use the CPU as well though? Basically what I am looking at is that I am going to need a CPU either way, so would it be worth it for me to get a little better of one that will help my hash rate?
239  Economy / Services / Re: openCart Expert Needed on: March 21, 2013, 04:08:53 PM
No, Im looking to tweek the openCart framework so that it will continue to do what my site already does when I switch to it. I already installed the Bitpay plugin.
I am a hobbyist PHP programmer, but it is hard for me to follow what is going on with the openCart code.
240  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: ELI5 - Budget Rig on: March 21, 2013, 05:28:55 AM
I am interested in building a budget rig, but am not at all sure where to start. I will probably just start with LTC since there is less competition there, but I still need to know the bascis and how to get the most hash for my buck. It is also important to know that I have to have a case, and I am worried about temps.

Anyways, I assume I will want to just install Ubuntu. So, what CPU should I go for? How much RAM should I have? Can I use different cards on the same system? Im doing research and looking things up as well, but thought I should at least start a topic and hopefully get some advice from those who have been there, and done that.

CPU - Any will do; they're useless for mining.
RAM - 1GB, otherwise it gets kinda slow managing the miner

You'll need to go big on the GPUs. ATI 5830s are preferred. They go around $100 a pop.

For LTC? I thought some of the other boards said you need CPU to mine better?
