@MrTeal,
I could have sworn I saw a post in this thread talking about pricing for batch 3 populated boards. Request an update on the latest of batch 3. I'm very proud of my 3 chilis so far even if one of my Twin Turbo fans is slightly unbalanced causing a rattle which drives me batty.
Request an update on batch 3 please. I'm interested in buying populated boards.

So the one on the left I don't really remember how I screwed it up... think I got nervous and lifted it thinking no bond had occurred and well, you see the results, the one on the right slid unevenly when heated. I was using 438C @ medium air flow. As for the Jally orders, my BTC were sent at 08:38am so it was still kinda early.

So I was successful in adding a single chip to each of my two Jally's by following the most excellent pioneer work found in this thread.
I did however manage to screw up two of my chips in the process. I have the reflow equipment to reball, but don't know what size solder balls to order or if there's a good pre-existing template for the 12x12 array on the chip. Any ideas? I'd like to try to get my two bum chips going.
Call me a sucker, but I ordered 4 more Jally's using BFL's Black Friday Sale... guess we'll see if they're really ready for immediate delivery (the price for 4 after shipping and discount was less than $900)

I'm interested. I have 2 perfectly working Gigabyte 7970 Ghz editions with all original packing material. They pull about 1.4Mh/s on scrypt. Would be willing to consider cash or bitcoin payment. What state are you in? I am in NE Florida/SE Georgia area.

Mr Teal,
Received the 3 chilis today. These are quite awesome little devices!!
I'm not having luck with the chiliflash utility. Is there a win specific driver to use to get the Bitforce device to show up as a numbered COM port? Chili flash only recognizes the port already installed in the computer (COM1) which yields no results. I tried loading WinUSB driver via Zadig, but still had no success.
Any ideas? Is there a version for Linux I can try?
Many thanks in advance for your assistance, dedication to this product and for your professional execution of the online auction. My only regret at the moment is not bidding on all 6.

definitely need to research the coolers now.... thinking i want to go PCI bracket and hide these inside some of my full tower cases... I already have enough bit-crunching monstrosities laying out in the open

Buying this stuff pre-built is much easier than trying to do it yourself..... I bought a few extra BFL chips off the Evil-Bay and while the auction was finishing, I managed to flash one of my Jalapenos to 1.2.9, add a chip and bring it's hash rate up to 11.06gh/s
screwed up the balls on two of the chips in the process, but at least now I know it's doable
Are the final results of the auction out?

Here's what I'm thinking.....
I'm thinking I might be able to fix one, two or all of the boards, my success rate to date has been 1 board saved out of 3 that were bricked.
Here's what I'm offering,
I'll offer up $10each for the boards for a total of $80. Payable in btc or whatever.
If I can't get any to work, I now own $80 worth of parts
If I can only get one to work, I keep it (and the others for parts)
If I get two or more working I get one and you get one, and I keep the rest for parts.
If I get three or more working, I keep one working board, send you the rest of the working boards, keep the dead ones for parts, and you refund my initial $80
That's about the most reasonable deal I can think of. If you look at my other posts, I think sidehack and I are the only people crazy enough to break into these guys, but we've both done so and proved that these boards are indeed overclockable.
If I get your boards working and you're interested in jumping up to 13gh/s per board, then maybe I can earn some honest business and get a name established for overclocking v2's.

Shares and hosted mining is lame. For me half the fun is having and playing with the hardware. Actually, pretty much all the fun is having and playing with the hardware - the reason I'm looking into getting one of these boxes is so I can tear it apart and make it work better than anyone expects.
But yeah for people whose primary interest is just buying in and making money, look at that guy's group buy.
I can see you just dying to throw a 16,384 Mhz crystal in one....
