first of all - ASICM is good choice. second - prices are going up and down... third - "few months" you say? in few months from 15 BTC worth of ASICM shares should be more than 27 BTC worth without any trading (or so) due to price increase in this time frame. are you sure having no losses instead of gain?! doing bookkeeping of your operations, right? you already SHOULD know that it's bad to invest more than... uh, i know you know that there are pretty simple and basic trading fundamentals and is good to read about i think... google maybe? btw. buying is ok, but do some mining too (if you can/didn't yet). just to know more about bitcoins... try at least.

Do you plan to release 340k shares on BTC-TC, 212.5k shares on BF and 212.5k shares on HL for a price of 0.03 BTC/share immediately and all at once or do plan to release them in smaller batches?
Hi dexX7, All will be released at once when the IPO phase starts. Should there be shares left at the end of the IPO phase, those will be withdrawn. withdrawn? then? not just withdrawn, right?

EDIT: @OhShei8e - hab erst geschrieben, dann deine antworten gelesen

@Crypto Financial please do such, aehm, social(?) experiment: ask some of your acquaintances who does not know that you're under that pseudonym to read all this (until this given post, excluded of course). then ask him/her the opinion about these guys (thread OP's). i'm sure you will hear some interesting thoughts, especially if this person is more or less aware of bitcoin (later is less important). maybe you will hear OUR thoughts... just do it fair

just do not forget that government(s) can change the mind in (un)predictable way
I'm sure that governments can and will change their collective minds about how best to handle Bitcoin; rapid change in the Bitcoin landscape more generally is just something we should assume. However, this seems to me to be a larger and broader issue, rather than a being a concern which is specifically focused on this fund or that fund, this exchange or that exchange. this.

... We apologize as we are new to the Bitcointalk form and we are just learning the ropes when it comes to posting here. Thank you for your patience as we try to reply to your answers. ...
here are not much "ropes" on bitcointalk. you are asking big real money and people here are asking real questions. easy as is. maybe some real answers? ... We understand that many may not choose to purchase any of our shares, but we do hope that when we do launch you will choose to open a Bank account with us.
so, for instance, which bank? and who are You? past background? whatever else? some PARTICULAR data man! for example if i tell you that i'm a great astronaut and need some lazy millions to fly (again) to moon and bring you back diamonds from there - will you trust me without some proofs (that i'm astronaut, at least)? ...not much ropes here at all, at bitcointalk.

in case of board project on BFL-forum i would be less enthusiastic until they post some actual photos of the board. and some more trustful info maybe. strange is the sequence of the latest posts and explanations about BFL-logos on the posted photos there... after getting PCBs from manufacturer? so, no comment for now except of this one...

Hey everyone,
A few people have made a suggestion about changing the tiers to be more like
0.5% 0.45% 0.4% 0.35% 0.3% 0.25%
And apply the fee to both buy and sell. It is the thought of a few people that free buy and fee'd sell is bad.
Thoughts? (Yes, I know several people will say lower the fees (and it will increase trades)) unfortunately as I have stated before, I spend way more out of pocket on lawyers at the moment and that is a large risk for me. I might consider doing it for a few days to see if it helps but I am not sure that results would be immediate.)
-Ukyo
do no think there is a need of it (just because of "few people")... fees on one end are more convenient to do calculations AND to do initial investments. lowering a fee maybe? i know that's another question, but this is really WORTH considering (and not waste time for god knows what, such as [0.5+0.5] vs [1.0] ect)

you should do think in the long term. lost xx% THIS week? and gain next week - no?? what about next month? or year?? be more patient and give josh a try to do main job and not waste the time trolling here. besides it seems to me that some subjects are interested for detailed "updates" everyday (no, best - hourly!) to peep on josh's strategies this is his weapon, and he's not obligated to tell the world about each and every aspect of it. nevertheless - please write right here YOUR detailed strategies FIRST, then ask from someone else the same. guys, that's a trust. there is no evidence for josh's bad intentions, obviously. i bought small amount of shares and getting some dividends for that. the overpricing of shares is another issue and not josh's merit. also not directly... weekly reports are fine too - maybe this can be fine-tuned in the future, but this is not an excuse and reason to disallow him to use his own "capital" as needed. be more polite. we're all coming from nowhere once. if that's the main reason - do not trust those people "from nowhere" (first) and do not yammer (then). it's YOUR choice to risk, and risk is not the same as scam - look for difference.

Absolutely -- fire away! good ) just the problem is that i'm in fact not very familiar with this thing but growing... so, eventually, will watch here first and then asking questions to be not very inconvenient for both sides despite the fact that my previous post seems a little ironic (maybe its true? ), i wish you best luck with your initiative.

... Fund Performance
Potential investors should understand that this is not an absolute return fund.
The issuer provides no guarantee of positive performance, and investors may receive back less than their original investment. The value of Bitcoin businesses and of Bitcoin itself relative to fiat is highly volatile, and Bitcoin financial markets, such as they are, appear to be relatively inefficient from an information theoretic standpoint.
...
Disclaimer of Guarantees, Indemnification and Legal Jurisdiction
The fund issuer makes no guarantee, either explicit or implied, as to the suitability or fitness for purpose of this fund for any investment goal or for the needs of any specific investor. No individual should consider investing in this fund if they require such a guarantee, or if they are in any doubt whatsoever as to the meaning of any word, phrase or concept employed in this document or in an external resource referenced by this document. Potential investors should not invest in this fund if their own personal risk tolerance does not accommodate the general picture of risks described in the section headed 'Risk Factors.' Potential investors should seek independent financial advice if they have any questions about the suitability of this fund for their needs.
By investing in the fund, investors assert and agree that such investment is at their sole risk. By investing in the fund, investors assert and agree that in no event will the issuer or the fund manager or any person or entity involved in the operation of the fund be liable for any damages, including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of the investor's investment in the fund. By investing in the fund, investors agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the fund issuer, the fund manager, their affiliates and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against all claims and expenses arising out of their investment in the fund; notwithstanding the aforementioned indemnification, the fund issuer shall remain liable to each investor for that investor's proportional interest in the Net Asset Value of the fund.
By investing in the fund, investors assert and agree that they understand, acknowledge, and accept that the fund manager is not a registered financial advisor and that the fund issuer is not a bank, brokerage firm, insurer, exchange or other financial institution; they further assert and agree that the operation of the fund is provided as a service to the exchange, not as a service to any individual investor.
This document will be interpreted under the laws of England and Wales.
Section headings used in this document are for convenience only and shall not be given any legal import.
Individuals considering an investment in this fund should ensure they are familiar with and fully accept the terms of service of the exchange itself; this fund is available solely through the exchange and should not in any way be construed as a direct offer or solicitation from the fund issuer to potential investors.
Potential investors for whom this document is in any way 'TL;DR' should not invest in this fund.
Initial Offering, Minimum Participation Level, and Fund Closure
Following the initial offering of shares in the fund at a price of 0.1 BTC per share, investment will begin as described in this document, provided that a minimum of 2500 shares have been taken up. If the initial offering does not attain this level, the fund issuer may choose to cancel the exchange listing and promptly return the fund's Net Asset Value to shareholders. If at any point in the future, redemptions bring the total number of outstanding shares below 2500, the issuer may likewise opt to close the fund and return its Net Asset Value to shareholders. The initial exchange listing fee will be paid entirely by the fund issuer and will not be charged against the value of the fund, regardless of whether the initial offering attains the minimum participation level.
More generally, the issuer retains the right to close the fund at any time, for any reason -- including a lack of suitable investment candidates -- its only obligation to shareholders being to distribute current Net Asset Value to them. Should this occur, the issuer intends to provide investors with public notice 30 days prior to closure, but in certain circumstances (including but not limited to the death or disability of the fund manager), notice may not be provided in this fashion. ...
TL; yes. stopped here ^^ (bolds by me). hm... beautiful. on too many things must agree investor and too many things can do issuer? besides, that's an Bitcoin Community Forum, not some official-financial-legal site. Is it not possible to say it (a little) shorter, doctor? we're Normal People here and not everybody is a lawyer or such. sometimes we can understand with less wording. IMHO. will do reading further when time permits. ... Potential investors for whom this full document is in any way 'TL;DR' should not invest in this fund. ... Individuals considering an investment in this fund should ensure they are familiar with and fully accept the terms of service of the exchange itself. ... Potential investors for whom this document is in any way 'TL;DR' should not invest in this fund. ...
good attitude btw. are potential investors allowed to ask questions at least?!
