I think the big problem with everyone's approach to looking at other sites with similar technology is that they see it as detrimental. The torrenting world is a sharing community and so is this new streaming community. piratebay, demonoid, etc, all had very similar function and files, yet they all co-existed. A sharing community cannot exist with just one. It is great to imagine only having the one, as you have a monopoly, but with multiple entities you feed off of each other and you strive to be the best in the bunch. Competition is a good thing, not a bad thing.

If you fear competition, you will never take that leap forward

The torrent websites just host torrents that you can download/or they provide magnet links. Torrent websites do not stream or provide any application (at least the public ones) where you can stream. Torrent websites have very little technology behind them.

This is a whole different market segment all together and cannot be compared with plain torrent websites.

we need scaryvirus to give us a spiel about how purevidz is also using IPFS STREAMING.....

Hello Dev and Community

I think many of us are under the assumption that this quality of streaming and ease of access to content is not found on other browsers (and can only be found on popcorn time/codi).

However I have found several websites similar to purevidz :

http://www.pelispedia.tv/
http://pmovies.to/movies/
https://torba.se

I have been told that there are many other links that pop up every week. As you guys can see the GUI is and experience is superior to that of purevidz.

What is the technical difference between this kinds of sites and PureVIDZ?

Please understand, I am not trying to instigate anything. I am bullish PureVIDZ and I am going to be contributing to the community. I would just like some clarity to know more about something that I am going to spend more time and money on.

Regards

when you go on to the sites you said and you click on a link another fucking window pops up advertising some bullshit.

Do you get that when you use purevidz?

I jut clicked on your pelispedia.tv.....

I truly don't understand how this coin makes any sense whatsoever. I can use popcorntime or any other site and there is no confusing cryptocurrency baked into the platform. Look at how easy it is to make your own torrent site; this project is incredibly overrated and overpriced. I bought into the ico (no brainer with the small marketcap) and dumped at 5x. Thanks for all the free btc suckas!!! If the devs weren't anonymous I may have considered holding longer but mark my word...in one month this project will be dead and buried.

http://bgr.com/2015/01/22/best-torrent-sites-build-your-own/

Do it then. build your own, run an ico and you make the btc. Go for it.

Lol . ICO is so simple man. I can use bitshares, ethereum, or waves; this is no longer complicated to do, any 16 year old can do it. I don't see any point in building a streaming service with a crypto built in. Maybe if users could upload their own content, but nothing groundbreaking here. Why would I use purevidz vs. all other available options. I was using what.cd and oink way back in the day. No crypto needed.

What if I told you that this is part of the plan?

 Wink

our primary source of content for personal videos, i.e. vlogs, personal recordings, etc.

so, PureVidz is not just going to be movies and series?

you guys are going even further than that?

Yes the scope of our project was never just movies and TV although its a great starting place to gain traction in terms of a user base and community.

1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If someone really famous started an altcoin, would it be a threat to Bitcoin ? on: February 01, 2017, 05:20:55 PM
No, you are overrating the power of celebrities in this field. They could get a decent marketcap going because of speculators wanting to profit from the "wow a celebrity endorsing a cryptocurrency" hype, when that is over, a big fat dump would happen and the coin would join the list of irrelevant shitty coins with no value.

Not necessarily true.  A popular coin pushed by a celebrity could easily create its own micro eco-system which could be quite large, market-cap speaking.

Imagine Bieber starting his own coin and only accepting that coin for things like Bieber merchandise and concert tickets.  The catch would be to make it seamless to use that token so then they'd just need to team up with social media outlets like fb and a few banks and the rest is "push'n play".  I just made thafup cause it sounds good.  Grin

A few years ago I wrote these types of celebrity and corporate coins were coming - I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet.  They can be smart about it and join "the revolution" by creating their tokens as sidechains on Bitcoin (and call them BieberBits, WalBits, MacysBits, etc), that way they don't add further fragmentation to the Bitcoin eco-system, while creating a win-win for everyone in crypto, as their popularity & fan base would also [indirectly] increase Bitcoin adoption.  I still think this is coming, too much money to be made to be ignored.

If the product was already built even before the ICO - then why does VIDZ coin still need to be active if it had no role in development/creation of the website itself. VIDZ is an ancillary financial instrument with no tangible use case that is being pumped and dumped. ICO is already at 5x and you can see the whales putting up sell walls. One 10 bTC+ sell wall around 600 sats. They have accumulated large amounts and they'll dump on everyone here because they know VIDZ has no real technology behind the coin

Purevidz is a solid website, VIDZ is not related to purevidz. Purevidz has real use case, VIDZ is a pump and dump that no relevance in this context at all.

Just shut up... For the people reading this obviously uniformed person's comments:

Vidz value proposition is the fact that it's website's revenues will be used to buyback and burn Vidz, depleting the total amount of Vidz in circulation. Do you understand intrinsic value? That is what this is.

Just ignore him

It's Placebo's sock puppet account and he's just trying to manipulate the market by trying to FUD so he can get cheap VIDZ.

He knows VIDZ is poised for greatness.

So Leocoin foundation, why are you deleting these?

They are not FUD items.

They are extremely pertinent to the very existence of LEOCOIN.

Your investors have the right to know that one of your founding members has been fired and that the company is under police investigation.

For you to try and suppress this information reflects very badly on your character and does not do you any favours.

As your other founder said, he puts members of Leocoin above anything else, so your members deserve to know that you are promoting a scheme

that is accused of MONEY LAUNDERING!!!

According to a post on the facebook page of Atif Kamran, co-founder of Leocoin with Dan Andersson, police has shut down the Leo operations in Pakistan.
Quote from the post:
"Govt said that this is a illegal company. It is a money londring company. "

This already happened two months ago end of November.

Screen copy from https://www.facebook.com/traineratifkamran/?fref=ts

Here is the screenshot (why is the image not shown dierectly???)

Today, two months later, we learn that Atif Kamran has been "dismissed" by Dan Andersson.
See here:

What happened here?

Maybe the police investigation was becoming too dangerous for the whole Leo/Leocoin operations and they decided to "sacrify" Atif Kamran to save the business?

Atif Kamran is/was a major shareholder of Leo (Learing Enterprises Organsation). Can he be forced to sell his shares?!
Is he still in business?

What do you think ?

They have been keeping quiet about all these news.....

Bunch of scammers they are.....

now VIDZ has 10 BTC resistance to 500 and less than 5 btc support to 300. Rosso has already made profit of over 35 btc from ICO. You think he will not get greedy? He has probably sold at 500 already.

VIDZ is p and d from group that accumulated in ICO. You can already see them moving their coins to the website and putting sell walls as Bitcoin price is going up because they know when bitcoin goes up alts go down

Hey Placebo, you fucking faggot.
