1021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Is The Best Btc Wallet? on: January 14, 2018, 08:22:08 PM
Dave u for a hardware wallet. $100 for one is nothing compared to what you could lose. Do not take chances. Even the best of us make mistakes and have lost money. You need a good backup method and backups. Make as many backups as you can and keep them printed out and your hardware wallet counts as one and you can keep another digital copy on a flash drive.
1022  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question regarding taxes on: January 14, 2018, 08:19:38 PM
You pay no tax. Bitcoin is not money it is "magical internet money" it's virtual and piece of code. You alkoeed to trade whenever you like for goods and services. You may accept to be paid in food if you like. You don't pay tax in the food so you won't in the bitcoin. The tax man doesn't have a Bitcoin address so there is nowhere to send it.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kodak starts bitcoin mining + launches KodakCoin on: January 14, 2018, 06:23:46 PM
This is great. Larger companies are realising the potential of Bitcoin. This will push bitcoin and it's value and make it look even more legit to the be believers. Kodak will not waste their time on nonesense. Good going Kodak!!
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin saved my year on: January 14, 2018, 06:21:32 PM
Bitcoin is great. Investing is great. It's so much fun and constantly profitable if you clever and take your time to learn. I will never look back I am hooked for life. Bitcoin is my life now. I have no interest in anything kse it her than Bitcoin. No other career made me happy but working with Bitcoin investing and helping others projects are wonderful and greatly profitable. Thank you Satoshi we love you.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin power consumption on: January 14, 2018, 06:16:59 PM
It's all relative. That power would have still come from somewhere if we never used Bitcoin and used fiat instead. Everything needs power it cannot be avoided. I wouldn't worry. There much more harmful things going in than Bitcoin mining power consumption.

I do not think so because more countries now are switching to renewable energies. Solar panels are getting cheaper and more efficient every year. Probably in the future the whole world will be able to use a 100% renewable energy source, it will keep the production cheaper and environment friendly.

Renewable energy is still not a solution for the mining electricity consumption issues. All the solar and wind energy is still very expensive and it isn`t consistent. There are days without any sun and wind. Grin
The problem is not the type of electricity. The problem is the increased consumption. In the future, there will be more powerful computers that will execute more calculations with less amount of energy.

Not yet but it's getting better and better and cheaper and cheaper. There are already projects to bring this idea to reality.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hot on: January 13, 2018, 11:16:28 PM
Lol what a joke. There is no download link for the wallet. Epic fail. Why even make this thread OP?

is a mainnet already active?

explorer is not loading for me:  http://block.bithot.org/

any active nodes, or exchanges where BTH is already listed?

It's listed on Yobit. Yobit support all forks. But you can't even download the wallet so don't bother.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ✈✈✈ How High Will Bitcoin Fees Get? ✈✈✈ on: January 13, 2018, 10:27:04 PM
Fees are better now. I aid only 0.0003 btc and it took under 20 minutes to go through. Once one went through in a few minutes almost instant so it is better. Still it could be even better but let's see what happens. I'm just glad I don't have to pay 0.001 anymore. That was killing me.
1028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling vs Panic buying on: January 13, 2018, 10:24:49 PM
Stop saying bubble!! Your heads a bloody bubble....  xD. Doing anything in a panic is never a good idea. It's a very bad one infact. Doing things in a panic usually ends badly and you make mistakes without fully thinking it out properly. With trading you need patience and balls of steel. Oabic selling or buying is usually done in a bulk amount and you should never move so much of your money at once. I never got above 10% of my total.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you are weak get the hell out of Cryptocurrency. on: January 13, 2018, 07:09:56 PM
I completely agree with you. If you don't believe and have faith in bitcoin then get outta here. Why are people like that buying something they don't believe in. Also when people sell their Bitcoin for fiat and only think of bitcoin in terms of "cashing out" they miss the fact that bitcoin is in fact a working currency.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MAD WITH MY PARENTS !!! on: January 13, 2018, 07:06:35 PM
Why do you care what they think? If you making money then you making money. Don't pay attention to the nay Sayers.

How can bitcoin be fake when I just bought myself a mining rig with it? Educate them so they understand.

Dude you gotta live your life, it doesn't matter what your parents say. Unless you are under 18 in which case you probably should still listen to them I would say get your card go online and fire. You are only going to regret you didn't, doesn't matter which way it works out. I do however hope that it does work out for you, gl.

Even if you under 18 you still have rights. If you want a job people should be glad you thinkig of your future at such a young stage but remember your studies. Balance your life.
1031  Economy / Exchanges / Re: YoBit deposit missing. on: January 12, 2018, 07:50:58 PM
Can confirm, the same happened to me right now. I deposited a small amount of ECASH to test the waters, as I haven't used YoBit before. So far they forwarded it to another address, but have not credited my account. I guess that explains why no one is selling into the ECASH pump right now.

Any news from your side, OP?

Thanks is great advice. Before trading you should always just send a small amount first as you say to test the waters. It's too easy to lose ksrge amounts of money in the crypto world but the thing is we all do these things and regret it later but in actuallity it should work but it's not a perfect world so you need to be extra careful in the crypto world.
1032  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Problem with bitcointalk account on: January 12, 2018, 07:47:14 PM
You have been here for 2 weeks and you have 14 activity. You need to be here for 4 weeks to get 28 activity. You are maxed out right now. Wait till two weeks is over and then begin posting and you will be credited in activity points. Everything is right and nothing is going on with your account.
1033  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can i join the bountyhunt from 2nd or 3rd week? on: January 12, 2018, 07:44:39 PM
You can join whenever yo want to but it will effect your stakes. For example you might have to do a certain amount of work by the end of the campaign but get stakes weekly so if you finish it on the oast 2 weeks and there 8 you will still only get paid for 2 weeks even if you completed the same amount of work. Others work n a oer week basis so you are paid for the weeks you work for. Hope this clears things up. Smiley
1034  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online Casino For You - cybergames.io on: January 12, 2018, 07:38:53 PM
Very nice looking site. Like each page is so interesting and creates a nice feeling that is comforting. Nice to have a themed site. The games have cute graphics and are attractive so navigating around is fun. You have many games that is good. I. Ant comment on the Fairness because I don't know not can I say it f it is a scam it not. I see no reason for it to be a scam though. Good job and good luck.
1035  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Faucet on: January 12, 2018, 07:04:56 PM
Yolodice has an upgradable faucet you can play with. If you practice enough you could get the faucet up fairly high. You might want to also try altcoins at various other casinos since the btc fees are high for microtransactions.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: When a Gambler/Player Dies on: January 12, 2018, 07:01:37 PM
The credits should remain in the account for as long as the casino is around for. I don't see why you are making a thread about this. Obviously the account cannot be accessed. It has been like that with anything online that requires login info. Give your login details to loved nes if you have an investment. You should anyway because then yes u always have an off-site backup.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Of Your Choice ! on: January 11, 2018, 11:15:55 PM
That's a cool give away. I like that idea that you are paid in the coin you support. Giving away that much to just one person is maybe a bit much perhaps they should split it. Either way it will give us a good idea on what coins people support. I hope the winner keeps his winnings and sells for a nice profit. Smiley
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If people stop buying bitcoin on: January 11, 2018, 10:45:12 PM
I will always want the buy and sell and use Bitcoin. What should I use instead? Notes? Coins? Banks? Lol dude it's 2018 technology has evolved why would we look back? We live in a digital world so digital money just makes sense. This is not rocket science.
1039  Other / Off-topic / Re: If bitcoin goes to zero on: January 11, 2018, 10:40:57 PM
It is impossible for Bitcoin to go to zero. Something is worth something because someone else says so. I will always say Bitcoin has value to me so it's impossible to be zero. If even one person on Earth demands a product that means the product is not zero. I will always accept a virtual currency as payment or to say there because I live in 2018 not 1867.
1040  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What site to buy BTC fast? on: January 07, 2018, 11:59:15 PM
I recommend you to use localbitcoins. I have been using their service for a long time now and never faced any issue. If you want to buy bitcoin using fiat, localbitcoins is the best you can get. They are not directly providing any exchange service, instead they are providing a platform for the traders to facilitate their trade with a free escrow service. I can't remember how many times I have used their service, but every single time, my trade went on smoothly without any complaint. Also the rates are very competitive compared to any corporate companies like Zebpay or Coinbase.

I second this and I also use it. It's great and works so well and fast. There is a 90minute trading window so it can't take longer then that. It has escrow protection and you can rate sellers and buyers just like on eBay so you can get a good reputation and have people trust you and get more trades. There are also various different traders so there is always someone online. You can even trade for cash.
