681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Protect Your Cryptocurrency with CryptoDefender on: June 30, 2019, 04:11:11 PM
Best protection for your coins - you yourself. If you follow all necessary security measures and keep your private key in a safe place, nothing can happen in principle.

Yep. It's like a firearm, your finger is the safety. I don't know if I would feel so comfortable with using something so new to guard my crypto wallets since I don't know how it works.

When it comes to security even having the best software out there it would still end up or depend on yourself.I agree on what said above which the best protection would rely into yourself.Id rather create my paper wallet and that would already give a peace of mind.

There is a special that gives you two months free if you subscribe for a year.  For two computers or devices it is $5.99 if you pay monthly or $59.99 for a whole year which is two months free.
It wouldn't still buy out.

The peace of mind, even with a paper wallet, will be yours with CryptoDefender because at some point when you are online entering passwords and browsing the Internet it will prevent crypto theft risks along with securing your entire devices.  Everyone uses the Internet in most cases, and it protects you at all times.

Bringing it back to bitcoin and crypto, one of my favorite features of CryptoDefender is the clipboard protection.  When you are copying and pasting a wallet address let’s say to transfer to or from Coinbase or your Trust Wallet, malware can force your computer or device to enter an illicit wallet address that is not what you intend it to be.  CryptoDefender can protect you from that and many more things.  Even if you trade $1,000 in crypto 20 times a year, it pays for itself many times as it only costs $5.99 a month to protect two computers or mobile devices.

That malware thing you speak of happened to me when I downloaded a QR scanner from the googleplay store. Luckily I only lost a few $ It is good to know someone is taking up the task of making protection targetted for crypto users and focusing on the newest and meanest infection methods.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I went to a bitcoin meetup Many people there had bitcoin, no-one actually use it on: June 30, 2019, 03:37:09 PM
You could convert your fiat to bitcoin before you buy something. I do this. I don't enjoy PayPal or banking and I prefer the ease crypto brings. I have waited like 3 days for a bank transaction to clear. I use mycelium wallet and take a scan of the QR code. No need to do anything but that. The fee and amount and address is done automatically. The fee according to your own settings. It is almost instant and works very well.

Crypto is just better in every way and I only use fiat when I absolutely have to and when I need cash for going to certain events or markets where they only take cash.

Well I did, back in 2014 (I think) I bought hundreds for about $250 each and and then got an equal number of bitcoin cash for free when that came out.

A year and a half ago used it to buy a new farm house and barn on 40 acres of land (ten acres pasture and rest forest), new tractor, soapstone wood stove, (and 20 percent capital gains tax).  Still have quite a number left.

There - someone used it.

Damn dude you lucky. Perfect timing.  Cheesy
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WavesTalk | Forum on: June 30, 2019, 03:28:51 PM
That's great! I recently joined altcointalks and I love it there. I see your forum is brand new so you going to need some people to get some topics going. Have you approached any projects to have the Announcements and bounties on your forum? I guess I should register now and get in early so I can have a higher ranked account later on. I really hope you grow in popularity. The site is just like here but for waves.

How are you bringing in new users? I only see this post here? Are you trying on other platforms and social media? Maybe offer some sort of extra incentive to join. Maybe you can create your own token or coin and people can earn it through their posts. That would be great.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Stack Of Stake - Ultimate shared masternode service - stackofstake.com on: June 30, 2019, 03:16:39 PM
This looks like the most professional shared node service. I use to use stakeunited until they disappeared. Then I held some BLCR (a gaming token) at midas.investments but I basically lost it all. It was a good token it just didn't have the backing and support it needed. Then there is the risk you take keeping your coins out of your wallet and into another shared wallet. If the site should disappear then so will your coins. Justa few things one must take into account when making choices like this.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin connecting PayPal? on: June 29, 2019, 08:00:04 PM
From where you got that? Paypal is heavily regulated like any other payment processor, but Paypal is pro active and well above all others. Paypal will never implement Bitcoin in its system. Why including something 'pseudo-anonymous' while their motto is strongly avoiding, money laundering and so on. Maybe a 3rd Party will use Paypal (like Coinbase tried) but not vice versa

You talk about money laundering but look a tall the scams involving the chargeback option? I don't like that if I am paid I may not actually be paid and a chargeback can be made. With bitcoin, I am paid it is permanent and I don't have to worry. I also use bitcoin to buy things so from that side it is easier too. It works much better than paypal and have you seen the fees merchants that use paypal use? Like 7% ?? That is insane.
Btw money laundry is mostly done through fake business fronts and companies and not through direct currency distribution or trade.
686  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: mellowads.com dead ? no clicks no views Publisher earnings not updated on: June 29, 2019, 06:44:57 PM
Mellow ads you rent out your ad space on your website and people bid on it. How high an amount are you asking for? Perhaps it is too high now and people do not want to bid at that price. I suspect the sudden increase in bitcoins value has now caused this to happen since using your ads slots will now cost more. Try reducing your bid amount. Make it very low justs to test and add more and more until you find the point people find a reasonable payment. When your site grows you can ask for a higher bid. See if this works.
687  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcohitz.com ! Bitcoin Advertising & earning Site! (Faucethub Payments) on: June 29, 2019, 06:39:35 PM
only 1 surf ads today. sad  Cry

yeah i know . i am waiting for the advertisers  Smiley . you can do some quick surveys and make easy money more than from surfing ads . i saw users making 50-60k satoshi in a day spending 20-30 mins on surveys .  Smiley

Wow, 50-60k for one survey. What % do you get? That's some nice income and attractive so for you it is passive smooth earnings. xD I know you looking for advertisers and I am glad you ar elegit. I have seen in PTC programs so many "advertisers" on the website launch. I think it is fake advertisers or even ref links from the owner. That is if it is a scam. How on earth do legit PTC owners attract advertisers? How are you doing it?

You are doing a good job keep it up!!
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix is gonna film documentary about crypto on: June 29, 2019, 06:35:28 PM
I honestly don't want too many people to know about crypto yet and the reason is that I am still building up my crypto portfolio and right now crypto is pretty new and we all early adopters. Now if it suddenly becomes popular people with large hodlings will be rich, those like me that have not built up enough riches will make a nice profit but I rather that didn't happen. I want my portfolio looking really good before crypto goes mainstream.
689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Rokes Commons Exchange : Trading Crypto Just Got Easier and secure. on: June 23, 2019, 05:22:28 PM
You guys need to start taking yourselves seriously if you expect us to. Where the hell is the OP of this thread? Having a holiday? Where is your bounty manager?? Your signature campaign is almost dead and you are not updating it. Please give me one good reason why we should even bother with your exchange?
Manager was active, they always updated on last week bounty our followed.
Signature?, I thing it less because they not allowed posting for local forum to geting stake.

Oh ok sorry. Yes, I see it is being updated that is good. I see 2 rejections though I am not sure why since now there only 2 people. Maybe they scammers they won't accept. I think it's odd to reject people when you desperately need them.

It is odd since the bounty thread is very busy but here there is noone. This is not good. I chose another bounty since I was not sure this one was active. I also don't see their signature being warn in the forum.

I think it's normal, as per now I see a lot of Bounty thread much more active rather than ANN thread (mostly), simple thing that I know is on the Bounty thread they need to create/post weekly report (usually social media campaign reports)

Yes you right. The thing is projects need to be active. People should only support active projects. This is a good project but look at this Ann is is only 1 page and only just began the second page. If the OP was here we might be on our 3rd page. I just want to see this project do well as I would like to use their exchange and give them a shot.
690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (GUIDE) Node, full node, masternode. How to set up one and make money from it? on: June 23, 2019, 05:18:09 PM
Wow, dude. This is very well written and must have taken you quite some time. I think I will bookmark this and come back and ask questions here if I need some help setting up a master node. I have a dynamic IP so I can use the master nodes and I have an extra pc. I am just wondering on average ho much RAM does a node take? How many could I run on 4gb RAM ?? could I run 5? What are other people here using to stake with or use master nodes. I have 1 pc with 2gb ram and a very small 140w PSU that runs 2 wallets staking 24/7 and it quite large so it is resource hungry.
691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How we came about satoshi (the smallest unit of Bitcoin) in history of Bitcoin on: June 21, 2019, 07:46:07 PM
Dude it's 8 decimals because there are 8 bits in 1 byte that is why you see people using microBitcoin uBTC because they are not including the bits. You say a file is 100kb in size not 800 bits. With bitcoin is is the opposite and it is easier to use bits not bytes (mbtc) microBitcoin uBTC.

So with bitcoin we don't say 1 microBitcoin uBTC it is easer to say 100 satoshi so that 1million satoshi= 1 bitcoin cent and not 10000 mbits.

So with bitcoin using bits is easier then using bytes but with computers and file sizes using bytes us easier.

Basically, use the decimal system that is easier on the eye. It is very interesting though to see how one works better then the other based on the different system.
692  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxes on crypto on: June 21, 2019, 07:28:11 PM
My friend. You seem worried or scared or perhaps paranoid? I promise you the government has no concern for you or most crypto exchanges. You not a criminal you not on their radar. People overreact and go crazy.
I promise you the government takes time even to track normal public in your face fiat transactions.

I will try make this very simple for you.

Crypto is something given out by a program called the blockchain and people who help the network (miners) get a share. The crypto has a value based on the amount of pc power taken to mine. But not only!! It has a value because we as users say it does. So we trade among ourselves in the same way we use fiat. BUt it is not fiat so remember that. Bitcoin and crypto is not official currency. Nor recognised by the goverment. It is an external publically made and publically supported "asset/curreny"

Being as such there is no tax to pay on crypto. The tax you do pay is on the purchases you make. The V.A.T (value added tax). There is no other tax like with fiat since it is not issued by the goverment or agency of the government but rather publically through the blockchain.

You only pay tax on crypto - fiat transaction since you are now going from decentralized unowned currency to a government-issued "owned" currency and thus must obey the laws for that currency which means paying tax.
So you will pay capital gains tax on the crypto - fiat transaction as many posters above me have already explained I will not explain again.

You really shouldn't be selling crypto for fiat anyway. You pay tax and you give some of the crypto profits back to the government which is what we trying to prevent. Only go to fiat if you have to. If you can use crypto then use it.
693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XLK] Stellar Shark - Decentralized Internet and its infrastructure. on: June 21, 2019, 06:19:59 PM
If i enter my private key at you website, will you be able to connect to my XLM Wallet an transfer coins?

I try to understand what risks in giving the private keys to you.

The risk of giving your privatekey is losing everything. You need to understand what is going on first before doing a fork. Send your coins from your XLM wallet to a brand new wallet. Send a small amount first to make sure the address is correct and everything is fine. When you copy paste your address always double check since there is nasty malware that can change your clipboard. Once you have made adequute copies of your new wallets privatekey (as you would with any new wallet) and have them in a safe and secure place you can then proceed to enter your old wallets privatekey into the Stella website knowing nothing can be stolen since htere is nothing in it. Then you wait for the airdrop to take place and you will get a ratio of 1:1 so if you had 100 stella in your wallet before sending it to the new one then you will have 100. Only do this after the 28th of June because that is when they take a record of who is holding XLM. Once the record has been made then you can send your stella to your new address and do the above.

Why couldnt' this person just be happy with the 1.2m that is a shit load and life changing. All this fool needed to do was convert to fiat and take out a very stable investment with a long term company that gives just under 1% a month. He then could have bought back the bitcoins with the 1% interest monthly. You can live like a king on that interest. This is what happens when you greedy. Now he has nothing. What an idiot.
696  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bonux.Club - Traffic Exchange and Earn Satoshi! 25% ref! NO POPUPS. on: June 21, 2019, 05:43:43 PM
Ohh nice! I can earn satoshi and credits for my website at once. Very nice. I think it is adbtc they also give you views clicks and Satoshi but they use a banner. Using this together would work wonders.
Thanks for the share I like your website.

You were saying.....

Do you have a plan with opening this kind of topics?
Any idea how long will it take for this transaction to confirm?
Any idea why this transaction wasn't confirmed yet?

Yes, that's just proving the point. Not the opposite.

Did your brain roll out of your ear during your sleep last night? They just proved you were talking crap and don't know what you are talking about. You are a liar. The blockchain confirmed your transaction in under 45 minutes and you claim you sent it over 45 minutes ago. Don't even try to argue it is on the blockchain.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is what every country will do on: June 20, 2019, 03:48:25 PM
Lithuania is preparing new rules to govern [blank] transactions, requiring businesses to prove the identity of clients,

Once the rules come into effect, any transactions worth over €1,000 ($1,127) involving [blank]— be it into or out of fiat or from one [blank] to another — will face stringent reporting requirements.

[blank] or similar businesses will have to gather identity information about the buyer, while large operations over €15,000 ($16,919) will oblige them to inform Lithuania’s Financial Crime Investigation Service.

remove cryptocurrency and bitcoin from this news (i placed [blank] in their place) and you can see this is not new for any country. this has been going on for as long as Anti Money Laundry laws existed. the law forces businesses to report any money transfer that is higher than a certain value specially when it is a place of trading like an exchange where money keeps going in and out with large volumes.

Exactly, and yawn... I am getting so sick of people who don't know what the hell they talking about having opinions on the law. You cannot trace every single transaction get real. You don't even do this with banks and people get away with having money scammed and stolen from them in a bank which is passed by KYC and they know who took the money. They can't prove anything it doesn't help at all. Just because you know who you paid doesn't mean anything. I was scammed the other day buying $10 worth of gardening supplies. I paid with bank to bank. People complain and report it and nothing gets done. It will be even more difficult with crypto.

Also I wish people would stop with this taxing bs. Crypto is not government issues there is no obligation to pay tax on anything. When you use a filthy government issued fiat then you can pay tax. Crypto has nothing to do with the goverment and they going to have to deal with it another way. Maybe we won't need a government in a truly decentralized world since instead of tax we would support one another by owning tokens for different companies. Also, no one can force you to hand over your crypto, but they can freeze your bank assets.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Says- If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million on: June 20, 2019, 03:39:39 PM
John McAfee, the future presidential candidate says that If Bitcoin Breaks 100k you can bet it will break a million.

What's your point of view on this, let me know!
Do not take him too seriously.  When people gets old they usually just talk without meaning anything :-P

Lol. Sort of like many people on this forum as well. xP (not meaning you but look around at some of these comments dear god)

I do not see how it would be possible to reach 1 million dollars for each bitcoin. And even this price of $100,000 seems to me a very exaggerated price.

I don't wanna argue over this, but I truly believe that BTC will reach at least $100k some day (not predicting like that dicklicker).

Quote
Why is it making nonsense price forecasts? the only thing he earns by making meaningless predictions is passing shame and destroying his reputation MONEY.

FTFY.
I think he's got what it takes to become the Joker of all cards, and he's just trying his way best on what he does the best - spewing bullshit and making more money. If he is really going for US Presidential Elections, maybe he predicted this just for the sake of gaining votes by people who are in favor of BTC and want it to really go touch the insane highs we can't even think of.

Quote
is very clear that price of 1 million dollars is very exaggerated and has chances of that never happen. But he insists on this bullshit

Once again, I'm not saying it's possible any sooner, but IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE.
BTC can turn impossible into possible but this will surely be seen when our grand children will be of our age. Wink

Some people said bitcoin would never take off and will do nothing. How foolish do they look now?
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Dark Web, Drugs and Government. on: June 20, 2019, 03:37:20 PM
The war on drugs will forever fail and it has been proven over and over and over again. It is all about money not your health or crime. We use drugs daily. Drugs are used in hospitals. Infact the reason street drugs kill so many people is because they have been made illegal so the people making them don't give a shit about the quality. There is also so much misinformation and fear. The war on drugs is just a fear campaign.

How do people not hear how stupid they sound when they talk about drugs as a "War". How the @#$! must you get peace through war??? *massive double facepalm*

]
This is just a myth. If the government is so concerned and surprised by criminals using BTC, they haven't cough up with the technologies. Every crypto transaction end up exchanged to fiat sooner or later. Also nowadays there already are technologies  which easily track crypto transactions and can evaluate the where it started and where the transaction ended up, it includes dark web addresses.

The government were not surprised that these criminals are using BTC they probably expected it, but only found out/confirmed recently.

PDEA doesn't have the capabilities (not sure why) at the moment and these syndicates took advantage of that.

also there is a news about the Philippine central bank warned the risk of growing cryptocurrency use in the country. although they are not against cryptocurrency they are worried about the technology's potential use in funding of terrorism.

for those who don't know there are several terrorist groups in the country of the Philippines and one of them has ties on ISIS.

Actually I was aware of serious problems with terrorist groups but I did not remember that , you reminded me.  I guess in this situation when the situation is so serious, government should not just track the crypto transactions but give out laws which states that KYC should be done in case of crypto starting from some transaction amount.

"Every crypto transaction end up exchanged to fiat sooner or later" absolute nonsense. If this were true bitcoin would lose value continuously. Bitcoin has its own value you don't need to convert it to fiat.

You all paranoid and delusional about terrorism.

KYC is the devil.
