Never thought I'd see the day - but I think BTC is heading to a sunset.
Between Ethereum and Synereo (and a couple of others) they will eclipse BTC within the next year or two.
The times are a changing
I cannot agree with you as I think that only Bitcoin is competitive but also it is in "Pampers" and I do not see any crypto as a real competitor to fiat money. Governments, central and private banks will have their own blockchains (if they and economy is in need for it). Most of the people are happy to use traditional money and do not bother themselves with very complicated technical issues. Cryptocurrencies are difficult to use for ordinary ones. Only Bitcoin with adoption in Wall street could become successful. With regard to Synereo, MaidSafe Ethereum etc. I think that those projects could succeed but only in terms of companies. As companies they can get a lot of success but what is the point of tokens or coins if you are not a shareholder of company? In most part the price of the tokens depands on market speculation and not on companies work. Some news could push the price up and some down. But the real value is accumulated in company and not in its "cryptocurrency". There is no need for such currencies even for Bitcoin. It is only speculative assets. |

Campaign on Bnktothefuture is not successful. People have no trust in MAID? It is a pity because Alpha version is working. However, price of MAID is still high but I expected to see it in the range of Storj.
They said they're funded for the coming year. They're also looking at funding options next to BTTF. But it would've been great if we went to 1 million a bit faster. Maidsafe wants to grow to around 100 employees in the coming years. Other projects that use a blockchain get funded faster it seems, as the blockchain is a hype. But anyway, I'm in  and I paid with Bitcoin  . I still hold MAID as well. My vision is that Maidsafe could become quite a big company when this tech goes big. I mean, no spam-attacks possible, no blocksize-debates needed, transactions hundreds of times faster than blockchain tech and social applications like MAIL and storage all in 1 big P2P network protected by cryptography. It took quite some time (10 years!) but they've showed me they deliver. No, not really. So, please don't speak for the "people", we are doing just fine, no worries... And btw, compared with other coins it doing well. thats right sys still moving good still have good volume and traders still playing with it so it is still a healthy project to watch and support. Yep, still very green lights on all fronts ! The only reason for the current slight dip is that the Polo TILT circus only focusses on the hype of the day. Once 2.1 is released we will reach 3000 - 4000 K sats easily and take it from there. In the meantime, just buy on dips ! I do not use Poloniex anymore. This place remembers me smelly Irish pub where only pump and dump happens. |

MaidSafe started getting funds by the CEO as far as I know (from family & friends) by 5 million dollars then the Crowdsale was so successful (they got 7$ million in five hours) and now they are now using BankToTheFuture . So in terms of funding , MaidSafe was better. In my opinion , both worth investing but MaidSafe (decentralized internet) will be probably more successful as It offers better much better stuff than simply a Decentralized Social media website (Synereo). It's just a matter of time till MaidSafe price will skyrocket, for the moment there is no use for it but once the real version is released , It will increase. Please do not mislead people. Synereo is building not only decentralized social media website! They are building decentralized economy. It is the same as to say that MaidSafe is building simply a decentralized cloud storage. Regarding Bnktothefuture funding I'm sure that it is very difficult to attract many investors to invest in a product they do not understand today. Most of the people will use centralized internet as they do not care about libertarian stuff of freedom. The same is about cryptocurrencies. It is only in libertarian dreams that crypto could change fiat money. No way, banks will issue their own blockchains and digitalize fiat money. |
