I guess that decentralized marketplaces will go mainstream in 5 years. While eBay is not going anywhere, any time soon, we may still see strong competition from smaller companies, who embrace new ideas at a much faster speed than a giant corporation could ever hope to achieve.
One of the main criticisms leveled at eBay is its inadequate moderation of its own listings. Users are constantly reporting inaccurate, incomplete, or outright fake listings of goods by sellers. eBay has its own guidelines for such instances, but they are rarely enforced, which leads to regular buyers having to sift through tens, or even hundreds of items, until they find what they are looking for. And even then, there is no guarantee that the deal will be completed. There were instances where the buyers have received the purchased goods, and then falsely reported the opposite, with eBay eagerly refunding the money at the expense of the seller.

Great project. Let's grab some free Burst

When is 2.1 release? Roadmap shows should be later August/early September. There are also some releases in the roadmap for September.. let's see if nothing delayed on those...
I know that people are very unpatient but you should understand that the dates of technical development are tentative. Any rush in this is destructive for the project. I trust Syscoin team and their job. So just sit and wait for the product but expect that delays could happen.

Only crypto market dictates the price regardless we like it or not. I have seen good projects with tiny results and some shitcoins exploding. It is crypto and there is no logic. Good news can affect price negatively and conversely. In my opionion SYS should be over 0.00002

It is obvious that Bitcoin Draft Effect and Seesaw Effect just started and it will blow up all the other alternative cryptocurrencies. The value in BTC is going down sharply. Does someone plans to exchange altcoins to BTC?

@Arvydas77 Your marketing and PR policy is crazy.
It is crazy to call that I'm doing any marketing and PR policy. P.S. Congratulations to all Syscoin holders!

I'm jumping into Stratis Platform as a long term investor

I'm waiting for funding campaign via the bnktothefuture to start. It would take the project to the next level. Factom came through this and they are doing very well. My guess that MAID has even greater potential.

Just bought a nice supply of SYS at 1600 sats Any official announcements yet on 2.1 release ? ETA would be very nice Congratulations the hard dump is happening. Peasants will dump out again for their 5% or 10%. Are you for long term with SYS? Long term buying low and selling high, repeat and rinse. Sell high and buy low strategy works smoothly in many cases but not always. This is why long term holding (if you believe in the success of the project) is more wise option and could give you more profit. Looking at the price charts of SYS I'm very concerned about the manipulation of the price. Previously it was not a feature of SYS or not in such degree. By the way, we all are waiting for the blockmarket but we also know that Syscoin has competitors. People sometimes point out to OpenBazaar but I know much stronger competitor approaching the scene. There are no blockchain based competitors which is what satoshi originally designed... there are only p2p based marketplaces which wont compete. Ive solved the blockchain bloat issue that they will say is the problem with using blockchain for marketplace activities so now you have best of both worlds without the cumbersome usability issues of p2p which not only add more moving parts to the system but wont ever be as functional at a core level as the blockchain based one. I did a competition analysis and wrote a post here http://syscoin.org/in-depth-look-at-the-syscoins-decentralized-marketplace-and-comparing-it-to-the-competition/Thank you for sharing this analysis with us. Syscoin really looks very attractive from the side of business on blockchain than any other project.

Approaching crowdsale and Alpha release price volatility is expected. In my opinion, funding via Bnktothefuture is very reasonable step by Synereo team. Factom and Storj came through this and both projects are doing well. I'm almost sure that Synereo will succeed in the future. However, I have some criticism regarding methods of upcoming ICO and huge reserves of AMP.

Price is slumping. I don't like the model for ICO with fixed prices. It does not make sense. The price should be established according to the funds collected in crowdsale.

Despite this project is so great, ambitious and innovate there's been raised just $400 in the first 2 hours. Meanwhile typical scam rises 40 BTC in the first hours. Pathetic. This world's pathetic.
Hongcoin is very good project but we need time to get more people involved. Spread the news around!
