841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IML] [ICO] IMMLA - First International MultiModal Logistic Application on: September 15, 2017, 09:11:40 PM
IMMLA Makes Blockchain-Revolution in World Logistics. In the USA alone, businesses lose over $40 billion annually due to various issues that occur while transporting goods from one place to another. A number of factors are responsible for these losses.

To explain a few, businesses may end up incurring losses in the event they are charged for insolvency risk by the transport and logistics providers. If that isn’t bad enough, customers could end up suffering losses in cases where they receive damaged or defective goods, leaving them unable to identify the responsible party — whether such damages were caused before it was shipped or during transit. In such a situation, the customer won’t be able to claim compensation without substantial proof.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: September 15, 2017, 08:58:35 PM
I bought some Ether today and stored them on myetherwallet. I want to transfer them to a local desktop wallet. What is the best lightweight Ethereum wallet what does not need to download entire blockchain and where I can manage tokens? Last feature is essential for me because I own some ERC20 tokens and I want to manage them via the client.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Be Panic Of ICO Ban? on: September 15, 2017, 08:21:21 PM
In the short term it could cause high volatility and price pumps and dumps. Insecurity is always bad for investments. Long term, when everything is settled down, I think it is an advantage for every honest investor. A lot of ICOs are scam. Look at the most ICOs of the last months. The current market caps (before and after the ICO ban) were mostly lower the money they collected. If an ICO collects 100 million it is very hard to double or triple the value.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My conspiracy theory about CHINA...what is yours? on: September 15, 2017, 08:10:24 PM
I do not believe in a conspiracy. China has an interest to avoid that money leaves the country. The Chinese regime needs economic success to get peace in the population. If the economy no longer grows and much capital leaves the country, this could lead to revolts. There are capital controls in the country and Bitcoin can be use to bypass the controls. This is, in my opinion, the main intention.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: September 08, 2017, 11:14:26 AM
Thank you, I welcome this kind of article. It is always difficult to get information on how projects differ from each other. The article shows that Ardor is an overwhelming competitor to many other projects and is therefore significantly undervalued. For investors with less technical knowledge, this is a great way to inform yourself. I hope you will compare other projects with Ardor as well.

Ardor vs the competition

846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 08, 2017, 11:10:45 AM
Byteball price after the airdrop is hovering around 0.071
People will buy in again?

I am surprised that the price remains so stable. After the announcement that there will be no distribution in October, I expected a bigger dump. If it remains this stable, then I believe Byeball has reached a good stability and weak hands left the game. It can only go uphill. With the premise that the news remains good.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: September 08, 2017, 11:06:27 AM
Yes, I agree. I suspect that many holders of larger quantities and ICO participants have sold a part of their stake and that many smaller investors have used the opportunity to buy cheap IOTA. This would make the distribution of IOTA more differentiated and can only be well for the project. I read in a Medium article that the distribution has improved in recent months. The statistics went only to August. I think the trend has strengthened in September.

Good. Weak hands leaving IOTA. This builds a better base for the next jump over time. With so many coins issued at once, it is not so easy for IOTA to rise spectacularly. It will probably grow in smaller waves over longer periods than the average pump coin.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 08, 2017, 11:00:31 AM
Thanks James for answering all my questions so far!
When I got it right, Blocknet tries to achieve the same goal as Supernet and Komodo in a way. To bring the crypto currencies together and let them easily exchange decentralized. The project has had some major announcements over the last weeks. Do you think Blocknet is a serious competitor and if your answer is no, why?

849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: news about china ico regulation on: September 07, 2017, 05:28:23 PM
Is there any proof you can provide which is not removed because of suspicious content?
If this information is true, this could recover the whole market especially chinese coins which has been suffered badly. I welcome regulated ICOs because there are / were many ICO scams which just collected the money and went away.
850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: September 07, 2017, 05:17:43 PM
I recently found the image of Komodo platform below. I am wondering how many of the listed features are already implemented and if there is a roadmap by when all the feature are planned to be integrated.
The image also shows a DAapps section. It was new to me that the platform supports decentralized apps. But yet I could not find any Dapp creation tutorial or documentation for Komodo. Isn't there one, is it? Or is the whole image just a future vision?

851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO has rebounded above it's "pre crash" price on: September 07, 2017, 02:06:19 PM
Exact. The big hodlers were the first which sold their big stakes on 1st September and made a big profit. You just need to look up the enormous price surge since June. Now they sit on a big amount of Bitcoins and slowly invest again in NEO for just half the price they sold what causes the ongoing price recovery. And now the small investors think it is a good opportunity to buy the coin cheaply. That's a mistake.

The 1st September showed how vulnerable Chinese crypto projects are. What would happen if the Chinese government would extend the ban and start banning particular coins?
Crypto currencies in common are an unpredictable investment. But Chinese coins have a lot bigger risk in my opinion. Of course the chance of profits is bigger, when the government stop to ban more crypto assets. But the more successful crypto currencies will be the more bans will China inflict.

I fully agree with this. It is very risky to invest in China crypto projects, because the entire state is unreliable. Of course, now it is rebounding based on the news of the ban not being permanent. But i really hope that with more success with cryptos, china will allow/go with it.
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aeternity, good or bad? on: September 07, 2017, 01:59:34 PM
The project and concept are actually very promising. However it was hacked before the official distribution. Find more information here https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeternity/comments/6on4t9/how_would_aeternity_handle_the_hack/

They handled everything and were able to pay out even the bounties. Weeks ago I woud have said that the project failed. But how they managed the difficult situation gave me a good feeling. However I still wait after a few more weeks past before I decide whether I am going to invest in Aeternity or not. But it is on my radar.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Byteball help: How to get the sum of all wallets? on: September 07, 2017, 01:52:53 PM
I did not really get your problem to be honest. So, you have created six wallets (means six different seeds) to link each wallet to a particular Bitcoin address, right? If so, there is no other way as looking up the respective wallet balances on the Byteball explorer manually.
To give you a hint: The amount you get for your linked Bitcoins is very low since the yesterday's distribution. In October there will be no distribution. Next one is in November and there you will also only get very low earnings for your Bitcoins. Why don't you just send your Byteballs to one account? It is much easier to manage.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cindicator: Combining Human Intelligence And AI To Change The World on: September 07, 2017, 01:45:41 PM
Cindicator has announced their upcoming ICO to raise the funds needed to build a next generation asset manager that not only uses new technology, but also traditional market analysis.

856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Universities/Colleges that offer crypto currencies and blockchain majors/minors? on: September 07, 2017, 08:43:17 AM
I'm seriously thinking about to use a part of my gains from crypto currency investing to visit school again. I do have a bachelors degree in a non-techie domain and I would like to add one master studies in crypto currencies or blockchain field. Graduate certificates in this field are fine as well.

Therefore I would like to collect a list of potential universities and college from all over the world (English speaking countries are preferred) which offer such studies or classes. Google has helped me only to a limited extent. Do you know such universities or colleges?
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: September 07, 2017, 08:27:52 AM
I sold my last share of MobileGo today. The price has dropped really hard for the last few months. From the top of $2.65 per tokent to $.62 today. The market cap is only $61 million. Pretty close to the ICO crowdsale of $53 million. I have been following MGo Slack channel for two months and I have not recognized any activity, announcement or release what will change price in a positive way soon. Maybe I missed something, correct me please.
However, I still like the idea and concept of MobileGo, so I would like to buy back a particular amount if I could see some progress.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 07, 2017, 08:12:51 AM
Thanks, I received the full amount now. It seems the first distribution was the part for the linked Bitcoins and the second part - which I received today - are the 10% of my own Byteballs.

I just checked my received amount for the distribution round today and I have gotten only around 5% of the amount which was shown in the chatbot yesterday and today (check twice befor distribution). Is the distribution split to several payments this time?
I sent all the coins to the specific address shown in the chatbot so everything seems to be right. Does anyone else have the problem?

Yes, you need to backup your wallet not because of your Bytes but because of your BlackBytes. If your machine crashes you can recover your Bytes with your seed but your BlackBytes are gone. This was my understanding about how it works.

Received the correct amount of Bytes as per new rules. Do we have to backup the wallet every time after Black byte distribution as its not registered on the DAG and kept locally?

Generally, will the next distribution be the same as this time or are there any changes?

Is there safe?
Who can confirm?

As long as there is no official member of Byteball what confirms it I would leave the fingers of it. Normally such announcements are always come from Cryptkeeper or Tony. I also could not find anything on the Twitter channel of Cryptkeeper. So be careful and first try only small quantities if there is interest.
